At last they made it into the city itself but found it looking strangely deserted as there wasn't a soul, or damned soul, anywhere in sight. The power of the Netherrealm however was definitely at its peak here as even the weakest of beings who couldn't sense shit would be able to feel it. Sincara's eyes looked up ahead to the torn buildings and surrounding trees as she got the strangest feeling they were being watched. "Stay on your guard. Something isn't right here."Camouflaged to near perfection and crawling on the walls of the buildings and trees around them was a group who mastered the art of invisibility. Luring in people who attempted to take back the village into a false sense of security only to quickly overwhelm their opponents by appearing out of thin air. A race long since forgotten by the natives of Genesis after being enslaved to the Nethereralm for countless millennia.  Reptile. Before Sincara could take another step forward a small spit of acid shot through the air at blinding speeds and knocked her hat off her head, burning a medium size hole through it as the ruined hat fell to the ground by her feet. Turning her head to the left, her eyes narrowed over the Reptile that became visible and following its lead were half a dozen more of his kind appearing all around them and leaving them with no other alternative but to fight. "Let's dance." |

Zora had her wand gripped around tightly in her right hand as she looked around the entrance of Moon Valley. Already she didn't trust it. What army would be stupid enough to leave one of their cities wide open at the front entrance? Even muggles wasn't that thick-headed and she's seen some pretty thick-headed muggles in her days. As she thought though it turned out the entrance wasn't unguarded after all, the guards were simply invisible. What she wouldn't give for being able to go invisible herself at times.
Once again they all found themselves at the front lines of battle as Zora fired a jet of light across the field knocking one Reptile back, however a second one would hit her with a Slide Kick powerful enough to knock her into the air, acid being spat in her direction while spinning through the air above but a simple flick of the wrist allowed a charge of magical energy to form a barrier to protect from the acid as she fell to the ground and rolled towards Gabrielle just as the Reptile closed in with a Running Serpent, his elbow headed straight for the Battling Bard's face. |

Mukuro was calmly walking with the other three, not trying to start an argument. His trident was in his left hand, and his eye was in the animal path, though there weren't any animals currently. After their previous battle, he really wasn't in the mood to do anything really, but he continued to head on to the town in the mountain. They reached the edge of the town though despite the previous fight, no one was there. Mukuro began to feel uneasy, and the hair on the back of his head began to stand up, more than usual. "Hm... you are right, there is something... different. Maybe there is someo." Mukuro was cut off by acid flying towards his face. Out of instinct, he ducked and looked behind him, and noticed that the acid hit the wall, and the wall began to dissolve at a slow rate. Murkro switched his trident to his right hand and looked around. Weird beings that seemed to have scales on their body appeared. It seemed about seven were there, all of which had become visible. His eye flashed, and from the ground venomous snakes formed near the beings, and they attempted to bite the being, but they didn't even flinch and instead easily killed all the snakes. "Hm... they seem to be able to detect my pets how unfortunate" That is one charged Mukuro with his claw hand, slashing at his chest, ripping his camo shirt. Blood began to poor slowly from his chest. With his remaining strength, he pushed back, and took out a needle. "Damn you... I didn't want to have to do this. With that he took the needle and stabbed his right eye. His eye changed, and massive flames surrounded his body. |

Gabrielle ducked underneath the running elbow, sheathing her katana and twisting around swinging the blade alongside her body to cleave the demon lizard in two before straightening up and positioning herself next to Zora, keeping her away from the flames that were now surrounding Mukuro.

"Saurian. A race of reptilian humanoids that evolved from the dinosaurs."
Explained Sincara before unloading a full clip worth of holy enchanted bullets at the surrounding saurians forcing them back. Not having to ever worry about reloading during a major conflict had its advantages as Sincara could focus on overwhelming an enemy with bullets that had no end, and that she could switch between black and white magic as well as pure energy. An impressive feat as that was, even Sincara's power had its limit and she wasn't about to waste time and resources on an army that could still respawn when killed.

Well, that explained the smell.
"Keep pressing forward! We have to find the seal as quickly as possible!"
Sincara didn't have to tell this witch twice. Zora followed after her, while still staying close to Gabrielle and blasting back any enemies that came towards her with her wand. The sooner they got to the demon seal to close it, the better. |

"Seal... what seal... never mind...
Mukuro did what he was told, and with his black flame coating his body, he was not worried. As Zora and Sincara slowly moved forward, Mukuro took up a defensive, keeping his back to the others. The lizard men kept coming towards him and lunging at him. However, he was able to defend off the lizard men.
"Two questions, what is the seal, and do you know where it is?

The world was huge, huger than Cloud had expected. Walking to each individual destination was draining. Using the Corridor of Darkness was draining as well, but to a much lesser and almost nonexistent extent. He had come to investigate the Moon Valley of any signs of Sephiroth. The fact he had simply came to this world not two days ago made it tough for him to land a mark there, but rather outside Moon Valley. Shimmers of invisible figures made Cloud stop and duck out of instinct as several globs of acid flew over his head. When cloud looked up he found five reptilian figures staring at him with unrelenting malice. They all wore the same garb except the one in the middle, whose garb seemed to change color slowly as time passed. With a better look he saw that this one also looked different. Chameleon  Cloud drew his sword slowly with his right hand as his left tightly clutched a rock. His feet were also tight against the the ground, ready to spring against the assailants. His single black wing unfolded itself on his left side. With the power of his his strength in all of his limbs and his wing, he sprung forward in an almost unpredictable speed, using the speed as momentum for his sword, Cloud swung one handedly, taking out four of them in a single stroke. The different one however had dodged, and made its way down to the city. With a determination not to let this one live... he pursued... relentlessly toward the city below. Soon other reptiles came into view, fighting a group of non reptiles... this will be interesting. |

"They resurrect when they're killed remember?" replied Gabrielle to Zora while fighting her way through a swarms of enemies that wanted to kill her.
"The seal to the Netherrealm. The demon world. It's merging with this reality just look at the sky."
The sky was red and honestly looked like it was twisted and deform. Gabrielle tripped over one of the approaching Reptiles and stomped his head hard enough to knock him out instead of out right killing him.
"We have to get to it before another party does or things may very well become worse than they are now."
And the thought they could actually get worse was terrifying, even for Gabrielle. |

While Gabrielle was speaking with the others they were about to be hit by a different enemy. The tarkatans rushed at the four with their blade-arms extended for their flesh. Sincara squeezed the trigger and started blowing holes through, creating a path for the group to punch through and continue on to the demon seal uninterrupted. "The opening to the Netherrealm is beneath City Hall to the back of the city!" Sincara called out to the group. "Don't try to take them all on just punch through the ones that matter!" |

“Party? What other party?”
"The opening to the Netherrealm is beneath City Hall to the back of the city! Don't try to take them all on just punch through the ones that matter!"
“Oh, so glad you cleared that up. Here I was thinking of fighting off everything!” said Zora sarcastically.
That sarcasm wouldn't last long as one of the tarkatans nearly took her head off. Had she delayed that duck a couple of seconds too soon she would have been a goner, lost to the Netherrealm and no one but herself to blame as she wasn't watching what she was doing. Drops of brown hair falling to the ground as the Slytherin Witch aimed her wand at the tarkatan, blasting it straight through the window of a nearby building with her magic before following after Sincara.

"Zora, look out!"
More tarkatans came in to cover the one Zora was fighting and once Gabrielle knew the witch was all right she drew the chakram, launching it through the air and watching it deflect off a wall and across the chins of the other tarkatans before coming back into her hand. Providing Zora with a safe passage to Sincara as the others came for her now only to fall on the Battling Bard's Katana. |

Cloud followed the group having lost Chameleon, smashing away reptiles that attempted to attack with their backs turned as they moved deeper into the city. They just kept coming and coming... it was as if they resurrected. Of course, it all made since now. Cloud twisted the hilt of his sword to use the blunt edge of the blade. Though not always fatal a hit from this was, it was painful and could cripple them.
Crack after crack of his blade against the reptiles slowed him down. He was not going to reach the others this way. Rage boiled up inside of him until they surrounded him and released it, unfolding his wing with reddish lightning dancing around his body. He took to the air, punching a hole in the reptile wall that had constricted itself around him as he gained on the group ahead.

After what felt like several hours of battling demons that never stopped coming, they could finally see City Hall up ahead where Sincara knew the gateway to the Netherrealm to be.
"There it is! Just a little further."
Sincara charged the revolver in her hands, and unleashed a powerful surge of white magic from the gun's barrel, blasting her way through most of the swarm and leaving the leftovers behind for the others as she cleared them a direct path to the demonic seal right before their eyes. Yet there didn't seem to be any signs of someone in a command role guarding this place.
Why?

"There it is! Just a little further."
Zora stopped behind Sincara. They made it, they finally made it. Her eyes looked over to the seal up ahead, a round opened gateway into another world with pure destructive and demonic power shooting out of it and up into the sky giving the Netherrealm's its energy boost. The very thing responsible for the two worlds merging all this time. Zora looked at Sincara.
“Well, what are you waiting for? How do we close it?” |
