"Well, what are you waiting for? How do we close it?"

How do we close it was a very good question, and Mukuro was having a very tough time thinking after the onslaught. The newer enemies staggered after the blast from the gun in front of the group, where as the back the others were still charging. His power started weakening, from being in the human path for so long, though he continued his efforts. Random ideas flowed through his head, desperately trying to think of a way to shut this portal. Some were that you put fire out with water, and hurricanes spin differently at different parts of the world. This seemed like the basic middle school education, but in fact was him desperately trying to aid the group to stop this onslaught.

"Maybe... maybe... we could try creating another portal, but with the opposite effect... kind of like putting a fire out with water... the two effects may cancel each other out...

[Kragen]

Then without warning, a poisonous dart hit Sincara in the chest shooting forth its deadly venom to weaken body and mind as out from City Hall came the Merc with a Mouth himself. Deadpool with a tran dart gun in hand. And to make it even more obvious that it had indeed been he who fired the poisonous dart he called to the group and waved.

"Hi, Sincara! It was me who shot you."

He readjusted the weapon and then aimed it towards Zora and fired.

[Gabrielle]

"Sincara!"
Gabrielle hurried over to Sincara as she was shot by Deadpool. A poisonous dart, that was all too familiar to Gabrielle. The Battling Bard reached her hands out to catch Sincara and pull the dart out of her before her eyes saw Deadpool aiming for Zora.
"Zora, get down!"

[Cloud]

Cloud may could not stop the dart from this range, but he can sure hit that assassin with a thunder spell. Cloud stopped in mid-air and aimed his clawed hand at the assassin and charged an electrical charge in the hand and fired the spell. The lightning moved very fast and its victems rarely have a chance to move, but at this range the Assassin had only a couple of seconds at the most to move, or he would be in a... shocking situation.

As the spell arced through the sky Cloud landed near the others, sword out flipped back to normal as he prepared to fight this... Deadpool.

[Sincara]

"We-"

The dart hit her directly in the chest, the venom shot into the child's veins and began to spread at an alarming rate as she fell backward through the air on a collision course for the ground. Meanwhile Sincara still found the strength to bring up her revolver towards the man in red and black. He may have been a pawn in Darkseid's game, stripped of his free will, but Sincara didn't have the time to play hero to save him. That wasn't her job. As Gabrielle grabbed her Sincara unloaded several shots from the revolver aimed towards Deadpool's head. Feeling the dart be removed by Gabrielle but it mattered very little at this point. The damage has already been done and Sincara wasn't going to let that slow her down.

"Hold me up."

[Ayen]

Zora gave Mukuro a confused expression at his suggestion.

“What?”

"We-"

"Sincara!"

"Hi, Sincara! It was me who shot you."

"Zora, get down!"

Everything happened so fast the young witch barely had any time to register any of it. One moment they were talking and the next poison dart. Zora's eyes went over to Deadpool just in time to see him aiming the weapon at her. Of course Zora wasn't about to allow herself to be poisoned anytime soon as she held up her wand.

“EXPELLIARMUS!”

Seconds later Deadpool's dart gun went flying out of his hands disarming him just in time for the electric charge and Sincara's .357 magnum bullets that came for his flesh.

[Kragen]

"Expelliawhat?"

Deadpool's weapon then went flying out of his hands.

"Hey!"

The Merc with a Mouth wasn't going to go down that easy. He quickly drew his sword which blade absorbed the lighting that Cloud hurled in his direction and repelled the bullets of the Six Shooter. He then drew a second sword and held up the twin blades as he charged for Sincara, the woman who Darkseid wanted dead more than anyone.

"Hail Darkseid!"

Before the others around Sincara and Gabrielle could think about aiding them any further in the fight against Deadpool, they would find themselves on the receiving end of Assault Rifle ammunition as the Krogan Battlemaster Urdnot Wrex entered the battlefield. While advancing on the enemy, Wrex raised up his arm and Mukuro would notice a mass effect field wrapping around his body and then hurling him through the air in a throw as he continued fire on the witch. Allowing Deadpool to handle Sincara and Gabrielle, Cloud still not close enough in range to be engaged but the krogan kept a watchful eye for any more "lightning."

[Gabrielle]

This wasn't any good. Sincara needed to be treated before the venom did further damage to her body. Gabrielle kept her up long enough for her to fire upon Deadpool but seeing that he could repel the bullets with his sword, the Battling Bard did the only thing she could do. Pick up Sincara bridal style and turn the opposite direction.
"We have to get out of here and do something about the poison inside of you. Zora, come on! We're pulling back!"
Gabrielle began to run, making sure Zora was clone behind as she headed over to Mukuro.
"Are you okay? Come on we have to get moving. Sincara has been poisoned."

[Sincara]

Sincara unleashed a wave of destructive energy towards Deadpool, something he wouldn't be able to repel or block with his swords and then fired a second burst towards Wrex before being lifted up and carried off in the most embarrassing position Gabrielle could have chosen to carry her in.

"What are you doing? Put me down at once!"

[Sparda]

Through the city, help was on the way for the Kari party. An azure blur stormed into view at upwards of fifty miles per hour, wreathed in a field of magical energy, aimed straight at Wrex and seeking to smash right into him with enough speed and force to break straight through his kinetic shield and sent him tumbling into the wall of the far building.

Falling to his feet out of his charge, Demetrios swept his helmeted gaze over the battlefield. His allies had run into some resistance, but these enemies didn't have the taint of Netherrealm corruption about them. Were they, perhaps, some other foe of Kari who happened to be here for their own reasons? Whatever the case, they needed to be removed immediately.

The Ajerian turned and charged past Deadpool, his footfalls thunderous as he sprinted down the road, hurling a concentrated energy blast at the mercenary from his blind side while he made for the retreating Gabrielle and Sincara.
"You from Kari?" he called to them, making sure they were who he thought they were.

[Ayen]

With a flick of the wrist Zora deflected the incoming bullets with electric charges meanwhile leaping backwards repeatedly to get further away from the shots to give her more time to react. She was beginning to dislike muggle weapons more and more, at least the long-ranged ones like the one this alien was using. The witch would come to a stop however just as an unknown armored warrior came into the picture as he came at the alien like that of a projectile.

“Bloody hell!”

"Zora, come on! We're pulling back!"

“Pulling back? But we're so close now!”

Not wanting to be shot again in case Deadpool and Wrex still had more fight left in them, Zora burst into a run to catch up with the others just in time to hear the new arrival speak.

"You from Kari?"

“Yes. That's us. Alive and kicking, if I do say so myself.”

[Cloud]

Cloud relaxed for a moment, though he still wielded his sword just in case they were attacked again. He ran to the others as they retreated and folded his wing downward as he did. He found that he wasn't the only one who came to aid them and found another who came to help. He approached Sincara's group and offered his assistance.

"... looks like you guys need all the help you can get. The name's Cloud....", He said in a rather emotionless voice. He would take no for an answer.

[Kragen]

Deadpool dashed to the left to evade the energy shot by Sincara, and then to the right to evade the energy blast sent by Demetrios all while never being halted on his charge as he switched between his twin blades to his pistol and began firing upon the group as they retreated.

The red glowing eyes of the New God Darkseid, from within the corpse of Intergang leader Bruno Mannheim, made their presence known as the god appeared before the gateway into the Netherrealm. Looking upon where Sincara was being held by Gabrielle as he took a step forward. Feeling the corruption of the Netherrealm all around them and the demons that had followed the Ajerian to this location. Good. Darkseid would be able to take out two birds with one stone before making his own way into the Netherrealm.

"Sincara. We meet again."

He called out to the girl. Expecting her to come to him even now as the venom in her veins made her weak. She was nothing if not persistent. It was something Darkseid admired about her.

"I'm afraid this is the part where you die. I cannot allow the Ajerian's plan to go forward."

Darkseid lifted up his hand and an energy blast of his own shot out of it towards the group with enough godly power to annihilate them on impact.
