Test your Might [Chapter XIX]

[Gabrielle]

Gabrielle landed on the ground and it shook began to shake trying to throw her off balance but she managed to keep her feet firmly planted on the ground despite it all, hunching down with Sincara still in her arms to duck underneath the flies as Sincara was now aimed in the duo's direction.
"Fire!"

[Sincara]

Even though she was near death and unable to stand on her own two feet, Sincara had succeeded in eliminating the last remnant of Darkseid's presence in this world and if he was smart he wouldn't try to come to Genesis again. Others would have allowed their pride to take hold after a victory such as this, but Sincara only contributed it to what she always believed Darkseid to be. A god too stupid to live. However now it was two onis that blocked their path to the nexus. As Gabrielle yelled out "fire!" Sincara was all too happy to oblige her as she unloaded a charge shot of holy enchanted bullets into the direction of the two onis to finish them off quickly.

[Ayen]

Zora held up her wand and shouted out another unknown incantation to this world as the flies that flew over Gabrielle's head was turned into bees. Bees that flew back around and attacked both Drahmin and Moloch, leaving stings across their bodies while Sincara fired at them with her revolver.

“How do you like a taste of your own medicine?”

[Cloud]

Cloud quickly recovered from his kneeling position as bullets missed him by inches. A bullet grazed his left fore arm as his recovered his sword. He positioned the sword to where he pointed downward and shifted sideways to where the sword barely provided enough cover for his whole body. Metallic pangs filled the air like music and the vibrations tickled at Cloud's hand. Blood trickled down his arm as he advanced toward the opponent, safe from any fire arm the man may fire at him. The sword was made from some special durable allow that resisted effectively any change in its shape and was incredibly hard.

Cloud built up some power and released it in a short burst of speed so fast he left his image behind. Deadpool would think he teleported. Cloud actually had stopped behind Deadpool as he let loose a powerful overhead slash, initiating the second part of his Cross Slash+.

[Cap'n Failz]

Doctor Fate had been stood stock still for several moments, seemingly lost to the world about him, the only sign he was still present at all the blazing flame in the eyes of the Helmet of Fate. At the call in his mind from Demetrios, he returned back to motion all at once in a flurry of activity. He vanished from the spot he had stood, leaving behind naught but a vague flickering of magic. He reappeared an instant later, already burst into the swiftness of flight low to the ground alongside his allies as they made all haste for their destination.

He made not a move to indicate his casting of the spell, but only a handful of seconds after his teleportation, both Drahmin and Moloch would find themselves entrapped within a prison of magical energy, and all at once it would collapse inward and explode with a horrendous blast. He had no doubt it would not be enough to kill them; it was not meant to. All it needed to do was slow them down.

[Kragen]

Deadpool suddenly came to and looked around in confusion concealed by the mask over his head.

"What happened? How long has it been? I don't even remember when the last thread I was in was created... Hey!"

Deadpool managed to catch Cloud's overhead slash by blocking with his blade and then moving backwards as soon as their blades connected.

"What's your problem? Haven't you ever seen a slightly confused badass mercenary before?"

Deadpool looked at Cloud's sword.

"A piece of advice, when you have to start putting tape around your primary weapon it may be time to go to the nearest blacksmith and forge yourself a new one. Do you have superglue holding that thing together too?"

The two were forced to move out of position of the bullets and then bat away the flies that were turned into bees by the child's magic. Before they could do anything more Doctor Fate's spell would connect and bring both down temporary allowing the group access to the Netherrealm.

[Garrus Vakarian]

From what Wrex could make out it seemed Bruno somehow put him and Deadpool under his control and now that he could see his corpse lying down on the ground that was no longer the case. Seeing that Deadpool was still running his mouth the Krogan Battlemaster abandon his cover and went up to the pair.

Urdnot Wrex
You can stand down. Deadpool and I were under Bruno's control when we attacked you. Now that he's dead I'm no threat to you. And he's just annoying.

Wrex said nodding over to Deadpool.

[Gabrielle]

With nothing else standing in their way the Battling Bard of Potidaea took a deep breath and ran head long into the nexus of the Netherrealm leaving this reality and entering the source of all this chaos.

[Madara Uchiha]

Mukuro sighed as well, releasing his illusions, and turned to Sincara. "You ok, let me know if there is anything I can do to help. He was still cautious about the two who previously attacked, bearing a slight grudge against the alien. He then turned to Gabrielle and said "So... are they are... friends now... or am I missing something...

[Cloud]

"Understandable.", Cloud said plainly as he put his Buster Sword away safely on his back. Things seemed to calm down but there was an unconfortable feeling to this place, especially deeper into the realm. He sensed a large dark energy there... or could that just be the realm? His inner darkness wanted out, wanted control. It wanted to feast on the darkness here and it was hard to resist this urge. The urge to let it take over, to become a prisoner to his own mind. He stayed in control however, due to years of doing so.

"I sense a dark power deeper into the realm, I may not be able to go further because of it....", Cloud stated aloud to himself as he looked to the others and the rest of the realm.

[Kragen]

"Bruno's dead?"

Deadpool didn't respond to the annoying comment, not because he had more important matters to intend to. But because, well, that was more like stating a fact than anything else. He accepted it and was actually proud of how many people he could irritate in such a short amount of time. Deadpool went over to Bruno's corpse and kicked it a few times. Grabbing his head and pulling him up but as the corpse has rotted since originally dying back at Moon Valley the head came clean off and into Deadpool's hands as he stood up.

"Yup he's dead!"

Deadpool exclaimed as he held the head in the palm of his hand.

"So this is what it's like to be on this end..."

Urdnot Wrex
Wouldn't know. Not exactly my area of expertise.

Said Wrex when Cloud noted the darkness in the area. He then turned over just in time to see Deadpool's remove Bruno's head and shook his head in a sigh. Right then he saw more demons coming this way out of the corner of his eye and raised up his weapon.

Wrex shot down the demons who attempted to blind side him and Cloud and backed up to the nearest form of cover as more came flooding in. It looked like they'd be able to stayed entertained after all. The demons wanted to chase the others into the nexus and Wrex intended to keep them away.

[Ayen]

"So... are they are... friends now... or am I missing something..."

“Dunno. I guess so. Come on.”

Zora walked past Mukuro and through the nexus entering the Netherrealm to join up with the others.

[Kragen]

"What?"

Deadpool look up to see the demons coming this way and threw Bruno's head towards them before firing from his gun. While doing so he would spot a bald headed demon with yellow eyes, big ugly teeth and wrist blades that reminded him of something he has seen before.

"Have we met? You seem familiar."

The demon just growled and charged swinging his wrist blades at Deadpool which the Merc with a Mouth countered with his twin swords.

"Ever heard of a tic tac?"

Deadpool pushed him away.

"Seriously though. I'm getting the strangest case of déjà vu."
