Aminee stood on the pavement out of Kari's HQ where Kain and the main White Queen core were. A radio up to her ear as she made communications with the Resistance back to Isafaro. Word of 201's demise reached her ears and she stood there in shock. The light in her eyes fading as the world around her quickly grew dim in light of the news. 201 was the first real friend she made around here. For the longest time she was the only person she could talk to. Due to the literal hell she was put through by the Netherrealm she had hoped to see her again. Looking forward to it. But now it would never come to past. Aminee would never see her smiling face, or hear her voice ever again.
The Pop Idol lowered her radio, giving radio silence on her end due to the shock of it all. Beginning to walk down the pavement forgetting she still had the radio on. She had no reason to go back to them. The Pop Idol was thankful for what they did to get them out, but it had mainly been because of 201 she was even able to tag along. And it was because of 201 that she felt obliged to stay and help out any way she could. With her gone Aminee had no reason to stick around over there, and honestly didn't want to go back to Isafaro. Moon Valley was a better place to live, and even Jherrazad was better when Chloe ruled. Now that neither city was an option at present Kari offered all the same treats as Isafaro without the oppression. She could make a new life for herself here. Fuck war. Aminee was sick of it.
Aminee dropped the radio and turned the corner with her eyes watching her feet. Allowing the grief to settle in as she mourned the lost of 201. Her dearest friend.

“Fascinating.”
A tall blonde male held up a mobile phone, looking through it at the surrounding city admiring its futuristic setting. He didn't have the slightest clue where he was, nor did the short brunette who stood by his side in this strange new world, but he was all the willing to learn everything he could as he tilted back his head to look at the skyscrapers which looked like they went on and on for miles.
“This place is absolutely breathtaking.”
The male lowered the mobile phone and looked over to the woman who had just turned the corner and was coming this way. Oh good, someone from here who could give them more information. Approaching the woman, the blonde offered her a polite smile as he introduced himself.
“Excuse me, miss. My name is Theodore Lincoln and this is my associate Sherri Magnum. If we could just have a moment of your time, can you tell us where we are exactly?”

“Where are we?”
Sherri stayed next to Teddy. Hugging herself as the cold air hit her hard where she stood. Brown eyes glancing over the foreign city they were both suddenly in the middle of with no explanation as to why they were there, or how they got there. Fortunately enough for them a person came their way that they could get answers from. Although she looked to be in low spirits and not at all in a talking mood. On a normal day Sherri would have recommended they leave the person alone but they needed the info.
“Any help would be greatly appreciated.”

The Pop Idol looked up from her feet and saw a tall blonde male and short brunette looking at her. Great, just when she wanted to be alone the most she had two complete strangers in her face. By the sound of it they were people just plunged into Genesis thanks to the shattered dimensional barriers wanting to learn how they got there. At least they seemed nice enough. For now Aminee would hold back her frustration to not being able to be alone, long enough to help them out and be on her way that is. "Aminee Starlight. It's nice to meet you." She replied in greeting before going on. "There's no easy way to say this, but wherever the two of you came from... This isn't it. This place is called Kari but the planet is named Genesis. You're in a different dimension."

“Where are we?”
“We appear to be in some sort of city.”
"Aminee Starlight. It's nice to meet you."
Aminee Starlight. The name struck Ted as familiar but he couldn't quite place it. Nevertheless that wasn't what was important right now.
“That is a lovely name, if you don't mind my saying, Ms. Starlight.”
"There's no easy way to say this, but wherever the two of you came from... This isn't it. This place is called Kari but the planet is named Genesis. You're in a different dimension."
Ted's eyes seemed to light up at the news like a child on Christmas morning where there should have been fright or concern. Spinning around taking another look at this city, named after a woman no less, before looking back at Aminee. Simply astounded at the news that they were somehow brought to an alternate reality. Not only did parallel universes exist, they were inside one at this very moment.
“Extraordinary! This Genesis, does it hold any relevance with the biblical Genesis or is completely separate?”

“We appear to be in some sort of city.”
“No kidding, Einstein.”
"Aminee Starlight. It's nice to meet you."
“Aminee Starlight? THE Aminee Starlight?”
Sherri started to repeatedly nudge Ted's arm with her elbow as she couldn't help but smile and giggle like a fool.
“Ted, this is her. This is the Pop Idol that disappeared. I loved you in Starlight, Starbright.”
"There's no easy way to say this, but wherever the two of you came from... This isn't it. This place is called Kari but the planet is named Genesis. You're in a different dimension."
“W-what are you saying? That we're lost in some kind of parallel dimension?”
“Extraordinary!”
“Oh, well, I'm glad you're taking it so well,” said Sherri sarcastically.
“This Genesis, does it hold any relevance with the biblical Genesis or is completely separate?”
“What does it matter? We need to find a way home. Not just for us but for Aminee too. She has been stuck here for a year.”

Ms. Starlight. It has been ages since anyone had referred to her as 'Ms. Starlight.' It felt weird. "Please, just call me Aminee." Then the biggest surprise of all came when Sherri exclaimed she knew the Pop Idol and acted as a standard fangirl in love with her work, even the things that were complete crap like the full feature film she performed in. "You know who I am?" These two were actually from her own world. She couldn't believe it. After a full year of not finding anyone from the same reality she happened across two. Dare she hope that she was one step closer to coming home where everyone knew her name? Dare she even consider it?
The male caught her off guard by his question. Only looking at him with a confused expression as she answered. "I don't know..." It was a question she never thought to ask. Because much like Sherri she didn't care to ask. When Sherri talked about how long Aminee had been here the Pop Idol couldn't help but let slip, "One year, one month and thirty-four days. But who's keeping count?" The Pop Idol was, obviously. And it was something she couldn't forget no matter how hard she tried.

“No kidding, Einstein.”
“A futuristic metropolis by the looks of it. As if we've been pushed forward through time. It's all rather exciting.”
"Please, just call me Aminee."
“Very well, Aminee. You can call me Ted, all my friends do.”
“Aminee Starlight? THE Aminee Starlight?”
Ted felt the nudges to his arm, it was hard not to considering how hard she was hitting him with her elbow. Forcing him to a couple of steps to the side away from the girl so he wouldn't get hit.
“Ted, this is her. This is the Pop Idol that disappeared. I loved you in Starlight, Starbright.”
“Ah, yes, I remember now. Forgive me. I'm good with names, not so much with faces. Which I admit is odd. I can't see how I could have forgotten a face as marvelous as yours.”
"You know who I am?"
“Well, Sherri is the expert between the two of us in that regard. I couldn't tell you what music genre some of my favorite songs are let alone who sings them. You were presumed dead several months ago, I do believe.”
"I don't know..."
“Pity. Then what can you tell us of this city?”
“What does it matter? We need to find a way home. Not just for us but for Aminee too. She has been stuck here for a year.”
"One year, one month and thirty-four days. But who's keeping count?"
“I understand your feelings, Sherri – and my condolences to you, Aminee – but we have the unique opportunity to explore a completely different universe to our own and I think we should make the most of it while we're here.”

“Oh, of course, this is all very exciting,” she said sarcastically. “I'm just chirpy about everything.”
“Ah, yes, I remember now. Forgive me. I'm good with names, not so much with faces. Which I admit is odd. I can't see how I could have forgotten a face as marvelous as yours.”
“Laying it on a bit thick, don't you think?”

“But you're alive and that's all that matters. And as soon as we get out of here you'll be up on that stage singing your heart out and everything will be back to normal.”
“I understand your feelings, Sherri – and my condolences to you, Aminee – but we have the unique opportunity to explore a completely different universe to our own and I think we should make the most of it while we're here.”
“Then explore it to your heart's content. As long as you explore us a way home.”

"It's nice to meet you Ted, Sherri." Aminee only blinked at the flirt. It had been forever since someone flirted with her, who wasn't a complete pig about it. Sherri didn't seem to take too kindly to it though. Were they an item? Or did she simply like the man and he was oblivious to it? Either way Aminee just kindly smiled and let the conversation go on from there. Hearing what Sherri said and doing her best to conceal a frown. The Pop Idol has been through so much in the past couple of months that she wasn't sure if she could sing even if she wanted to.
"The city is ran by a man named Kain and an artificial intelligence called the White Queen. It's highly advanced, as you can already tell. It used to be underneath a bunch of layers of crystal ice but that all changed when a great fire melted everything." Aminee didn't feel like getting into specifics on that right now, so she left out the part about the demon girl who was on fire. "And if you want to find out more on how to get home, look no further than the overshadowing tower you can see if you simply turn around and look up."

"It's nice to meet you Ted, Sherri."
“The pleasure's all ours. Trust me.”
“Laying it on a bit thick, don't you think?”
“Just telling the truth.”
“Then explore it to your heart's content. As long as you explore us a way home.”
Teddy laughed it off to save face in front of the Pop Idol before listening to her explain about the city.
"The city is ran by a man named Kain and an artificial intelligence called the White Queen. It's highly advanced, as you can already tell. It used to be underneath a bunch of layers of crystal ice but that all changed when a great fire melted everything."
“So it's an autocracy? And this artificial intelligence, is it self aware?”
"And if you want to find out more on how to get home, look no further than the overshadowing tower you can see if you simply turn around and look up."
“Tower?”
Ted turned around and looked up to see the colossal tower in all its glory that stretched up into the sky above the clouds. It stuck out like a sore thumb in both size and design, while appearing to be more ancient than the rest of the city, it was arguably more advanced in appearance than Kari. Right away he was dying to take a look inside and see what it was all about.
“You're saying the answer to getting back to our world lies inside that tower?” Teddy asked as he turned back to face the Pop Idol.

“Ice? This all used to be underneath ice?”
"And if you want to find out more on how to get home, look no further than the overshadowing tower you can see if you simply turn around and look up."
Sherri turned to see the tower at the same time Ted did. But she didn't observe it in the same way. All she saw was a large tower that was intimidating to look at. Gulping at the mere thought of going in there as she looked back at Aminee and Ted.
“Do we have to go in there?”

"I don't know what kind of government this is." And she didn't care to. Kain appeared to be fair enough to where she didn't really need to learn the specifics of how their government worked. After surviving a place like Isafaro the Pop Idol wasn't that worried. "The problem is no one knows how to operate it." Aminee looked over to Sherri and nodded her head at the first question and shook it at the second. "You don't have to do anything you don't want to do."

"I don't know what kind of government this is."
“That's quite all right. I expect I'll find out soon enough.”
"The problem is no one knows how to operate it."
“Well we all have to start somewhere. Would it be possible to take a look inside now?”
“Do we have to go in there?”
“You were the one who wanted to find a way back home.”

Great. Their only way home was a gigantic, creepy, mysterious tower that nobody knew how to operate. And she knew with the way Teddy was he'd be all over that, so it was unavoidable.
"You don't have to do anything you don't want to do."
That didn't sound patronizing at all.
“You were the one who wanted to find a way back home.”
“Yes, I know that. There's really no need to remind me.”
The irritable tone could be heard beneath her voice even though she did her best to conceal it all behind a polite tone and smile.
