"The tower is currently under the protection of the Kari military. You'd have to see Kain about possibly taking a look inside." The Pop Idol wasn't sure if Kain or White Queen would consent to the pair going in to research the tower. Come to think of it, she hasn't heard much about the inside of the tower at all. For something that could be seen anywhere on Jherra very little was actually known about it. Aminee couldn't help but be curious about it herself and so... "I can take you both to see him if you want."

“Yes, I figured that may be the case. How would one go about making an appointment to see Kain for such a matter?”
I can take you both to see him if you want."
“That's even better. Lead the way.”

Sherri didn't have anything to add to the conversation so she kept quiet while the two talked amongst themselves. Staying at Theodore's side as Aminee explained they could take them to see Kain now. There was no avoiding it then. She would just have to endure. Sherri knew even if Kain refused them Ted would find a way inside that tower if he was really set on examining it. It was their only known path back home after all.

Aminee began leading the pair through the city and to Kari's HQ, brushing a hand through her short brown hair and scratching the back of her head as she looked back to them. Curiosity plaguing her mind as to how exactly the world back home had reacted to her death. She could imagine it being all over the news and the Internet. Social networking sites talking about her, making fun of her and old people complaining about celebrities death getting more attention than their own troops. Maybe even a tribute in her honor? Finally a year of wondering would be answered here and now. Of course nothing the public back home could say could damage her the way this world has in the past year.
"So, when I was announced dead back home... How did people react to the news?"

"So, when I was announced dead back home... How did people react to the news?"
“Well it was all over the news. Hours of tribute shows played on the TV for a few days. Conspiracy theories running around that you weren't really dead and instead in hiding somewhere. The usual reactions that occurs when a famous musician dies. It looks like this time the conspiracy theorists were half correct.”

"So, when I was announced dead back home... How did people react to the news?"
“It was tragic. Like losing your best friend. Your music touched so many different people. Especially young girls who saw you as a role model. Naturally I thought the conspiracy theory was preposterous but here you are. When you get back I cannot imagine what the response will be but I know it will be huge. It'd be the biggest comeback in musical history!”

"I don't know about that..." To be the biggest comeback of all time would mean to be bigger than Michael Jackson's. That had already made record breaking ticket sales demanding that he did fifty concerts and upon his death it was declared the greatest concert to never happen. She knew she was vastly popular, an icon of her own time but even back when she was the arrogant and bratty Pop Idol Aminee never thought herself better than Michael Jackson when it came to music and performing. Nobody in her lifetime would be. But the compliment was welcomed nonetheless. "Out of curiosity which songs of mine are your favorite?"

"Out of curiosity which songs of mine are your favorite?"
As they walked it was Ted who finally found himself with not much to say. When it came to this subject Sherri was the one who could name all of her songs at the drop of a hat and go on rants for hours about what the lyrics meant. He on the other hand...
“I haven't really listened to your songs. It's nothing against you or your music it's just I'm not exactly your target audience suffice to say.”

"I don't know about that..."
“You're always so modest and humble. It's very refreshing to see.”
"Out of curiosity which songs of mine are your favorite?"
“I haven't really listened to your songs. It's nothing against you or your music it's just I'm not exactly your target audience suffice to say.”
“Ballroom Dance, First Date, Starlight Starbright, Heat. Out of my Shell and My World Now too of course. There are just so many to choose from it's hard to narrow it down to just a couple. Those are only the ones off the top of my head. Your rendition of Part of Your World was also beautiful.”

Always? This Sherri lady was laying it on rather thick. While the Pop Idol never cared for a critic she knew one thing she wasn't back then was modest and humbled. She felt saddened when Theodore said he had never listened to her music. Aminee didn't understand why though. At least he knew who she was which was more than the majority of people on this planet, or the ones who came from a similar world to her own could say. Sherri on the other hand was all too happy naming every song Aminee had ever sang as her favorite. She was more curious about learning of Ted's tastes as she turned around to look at him now walking backwards.
“Then tell me, Ted. What kind of music do you enjoy listening to?”

“Then tell me, Ted. What kind of music do you enjoy listening to?”
Ted was surprised that Aminee even cared enough to ask him that question. He would have assumed that the Pop Idol would be more interested in discussing her own music with a fan. Well then, it was hardly Theodore's way to turn down a chance for conversation with such a lovely young lady.
“Classical, jazz, the blues. But usually anything with a nice melody gets my attention.”

Sherri was hurt that Aminee was paying more attention to Ted than her. That didn't make any sense. At least she actually listened and enjoy her music. Why was she more interested in the man who didn't? Sherri couldn't deny that Ted was a charmer but why did he have to charm this person of all people? Finally a chance to be with her idol and Ted had snatched her attention away.
“In addition to pop I enjoy rock, country, gospel and classical as well.”
Sherri added, just trying to stay in the conversation.

“You know... I do have a couple of slower paced songs that I think you might enjoy if you give them the chance. I'd be more than happy to perform them for you when you have the time.” Aminee wasn't sure where she was going with this. She hasn't felt comfortable alone with a man for a year now. Theodore did seem honorable enough and Aminee always had her guns to rely on if he did try something. The Pop Idol never cared about firearms before Genesis but they have saved her life more than once now so she couldn't complain. And as long as Ted didn't try to touch her the Pop Idol was sure performing for him would be just fine. “Gospel Music?” Aminee repeated as she looked over to Sherri. “Are you religious?” Aminee had bumped heads with the religious before back in her world. They called her a blasphemer and accused her of corrupting young innocent minds. Aminee wasn't sure of how many religious fans she actually had. But having one that wasn't completely crazy in that regard was a welcomed change of pace.

“I'd love to.”
Ted couldn't believe it. Somehow he managed to get the infamous Pop Idol wanting to perform one of her songs for him. He looked over to Sherri, the smile on his face quickly disappearing as he saw the sad look in her eyes and then looked back to Aminee.
“We'd love to. You of course do mean the two of us?”
And if not he'd have to decline. Ted didn't feel right going off alone with Sherri's hero in music and getting a private concert without her.
“In addition to pop I enjoy rock, country, gospel and classical as well.”
“Gospel Music? Are you religious?”
“You know you can be nonreligious and still enjoy gospel music. I have a couple of hymns I enjoy listening to myself and I'm no theist.”

Sherri felt herself on the urge of crying. She was used to being left out, excluded from many things. But she never thought her own hero would exclude her from something. Perhaps she was a fool to think Aminee was any different from anyone else. Perhaps it was all just a delusional fantasy on her part. Hearing Ted's words she looked at him thankful. He truly was the sweetest man she has ever known. There weren't many people back home who'd turn down some alone time with the Pop Idol, even less so if they were of the male sex. Upon hearing Aminee's question directed at her Sherri quickly snapped her head back in the Pop Idol's direction.
“Yes as a matter of fact. Christian. Pentecostal to be more specific. So naturally I'm no stranger to loud music and dancing.”
