Aminee smiled at his answer but wasn't surprised by it in the slightest. Back home people would have murdered for the chance to be alone with her. To hear her sing and perform just to them, for them. Especially among men who dreamed of being with her. Girls were more innocent in their motives. They just wanted to have their hero sing to them. When Ted included Sherri in the invite it was Aminee's turn to be surprised. Had she asked this same question to people in the past they never would have shared the honor with anyone else. It made Aminee glad. “Of course.” Aminee was more than happy to perform for the both of them. “That's nice.” Aminee told Sherri while turning back around. “I'm not used to Christians enjoying my music.”

“Yes as a matter of fact. Christian. Pentecostal to be more specific. So naturally I'm no stranger to loud music and dancing.”

“Immoral.” Repeated Aminee looking back at Sherri. “You think some of my videos are immoral?” Perhaps the Pop Idol spoke too soon in her mind about having a sane Christian fan for a change. Oh well. Aminee turned back to Ted when he asked his question before looking out ahead of her to see the HQ building over yonder. “Not far at all. There's the HQ building right now. Hopefully he isn't too busy with work otherwise we may have to wait until later.”

“I do not believe she said anything of the kind, Aminee.”
“Not far at all. There's the HQ building right now. Hopefully he isn't too busy with work otherwise we may have to wait until later.”
“Which is perfectly understandable and I don't mind waiting. I assume Kari has some kind of establishment nearby where we could stay free of charge like a shelter? Unless of course our currency would be worth something here in which case a hotel would be preferred.” |

"There's a shelter the two of you can take refuge in which I'll gladly show you later." Aminee explained before looking back over to Sherri. "It's fine. Don't worry about it." The Pop Idol led the two into HQ's lobby and then went over to the front desk. "Yes we would like to talk with Kain about the tower. Is he available?" The woman behind the desk nodded and directed them to the elevator which Aminee led both to and then entered clicking the top button on the panel. As the doors came to a close, Aminee leaned back against the elevator's wall and enjoyed the music that was playing through the speakers as it headed for the top floor.

It was the least he could offer after everything the Pop Idol had done for them. And to think all those reports back home always talked about how selfish she was. It just goes to show you didn't truly know someone until you spoke with them yourself.

Ted kept his fingers crossed and was delighted when the woman directed them to the elevator. Following Aminee into it and standing next to the Pop Idol. Enjoying the music that was playing over the speakers while reminiscing about his own world's elevator music.

But Sherri were worrying about it. She was worrying about it because she knew she had offended her hero and it made her feel terrible. The feeling causing Sherri to remain quiet for the rest of the walk, afraid that by opening her mouth she would just say something else offensive to the person she admired. Scolding herself mentally for the rest of the trip to Kari's HQ. Stuffing her hands in her pockets and humming silently to herself until they entered the elevator and she grew silent again. Listening to the music that came from the speaker. |

"It varies depending on where you go," replied Aminee. "It's nice to have variety, I suppose." The elevator doors opened and they found themselves on the top floor, the entrance of Kain's office directly across for them being guarded by two armed soldiers. Knowing that they were coming the two guards stepped aside and allowed them entry into the office where Kain were waiting for them. "Good afternoon, Mr. Kain. I trust you're doing well?" "I'm alive, aren't I? You wanted to speak to me about the Downward Spiral?" Aminee stepped off to the right and tilted her head to nudge Ted on. "Now's your chance."
