Hell's March pt.1 [Chapter XIX]

Fukari's own recklessness would be the cause of her undoing as Kasul cast a protective barrier around Ranko's body protecting her from the explosion of the claymore mind as Fukari would fall back by the power of her own weapon allowing Ranko to thrust Kasul into her heart as she fell backwards. Meanwhile the Netherrealm forces continued to pour out of the portal, two for every demon they killed and then the dead resurrecting to fight again looking to wear off the defenders resolve until they could no longer fight.

Suddenly, the demons of the nether realm would find themselves being hit with tidal wave of darkness. In this darkness carried the infinite empire of the abyss all transformed into familiars. Empowered by the nether realm.

The two female soldiers were starting to actually be glad that they had bigger weapons at their disposal, machine guns and pistols weren't exactly going to cut it out on this one. Rebecca had began taking out her shotgun and taking one-hit kills at the demons while Nadia had taken out her rocket launcher and sent several of them flying through the air. They were fighting side-by-side with Sailor V so they were quite surprised that she had a holy sword at her side, but then again after what they had seen here they shouldn't really be surprised. When Sailor V asked for an opinion on her speech Nadia simply smiled and shook her head while Rebecca looked at the Sailor, "Not bad, but I think you can do a lot better," she said truthfully.

[Tenjou, Utena]

"Are you serious?"
Sailor V was asking this question now? Now while they were in the middle of fighting for their lives? That was the only thing keeping Utena from exploding on the Senshi further. The former Champion of Ohtori prepared herself for the next wave to come only to see a tidal wave of darkness sweep them away.
"Now what?"

[Sailor V]

Sailor V didn't have time to respond to either Utena or Rebecca as she looked over to the familiars that had entered the area and started taking on the demons that were charging them. The few that did get through to them was then taken down by another wave of holy energy by Sailor V's sword as she moved herself in front of the others.

"I hope whoever that is is on our side..."

[Sincara]

With the familiars beginning to take weight off of the Kari's defenses, White Queen aimed one of the Mk. IIIs into the direction of Ranko while she was busy fending off the Blind Assassin and open fired its dual railguns towards her looking to take out the source and finally end this war.

[Alex]

Fukari's back collided into the ground as her arm went flying through the air and onto the ground. The Blind Assassin wouldn't stay put though as she rolled to the side away from the demonic blade that came to claim her soul just in time for the Mammoth tank's railguns to hit Ranko from behind.

[Ayen]

The protective barrier never left Ranko's body and so she didn't shake when the railgun hit. Crimson eyes narrowed over the Mammoth tank now aimed towards her but they were soon taken off of that and lured to the Downward Spiral. Feeling what both Dante and Luca had felt before her. Power. Absolute, terrifying and destructive power. Knowing this and seeing no path to victory anywhere in sight Ranko did the only sensible thing available to her.

Retreat.

The resistance here would start to see the surviving demons pulling back and entering through portals to the Netherrealm that closed as soon as they entered through it as Ranko was also devoured by her own portal being brought back to the Netherrealm to once again live to fight another day.

Kari had won.

[Tenjou, Utena]

Utena held up her Rapier and plunged it into a chaosrealmer's heart. As she watch the body fall and the life within flee back to the Netherrealm she pulled out the Rapier and looked up expecting to see another challenger fast approaching. Instead what she saw came as a complete shock. It was the sight of the Netherrealm retreating. Even the Crimson Devil herself was pulling back as they abandoned their attempts to take this city altogether. Utena fell down to her knees in disbelief.
"I-I can't believe it."
The Kari soldier who had been helping her since the beginning came over to her side and helped her up to her feet.
"We won."
"I'll drink to that."

[Sailor V]

The Soldier of Truth and Justice could finally take a breath of fresh air as the demon army began retreating from Kari. They've done it. The Netherrealm had been defeated and the city was safe. After the last of the demons left the field Sailor V sheathed her holy blade and looked over to the others.

"I can't wait to have a hot bath after this."

[Aminee Starlight]

Kain had remained at HQ all this time as he witnessed the battle draw to a close outside of his window. White Queen would be correct. The demon army never made it to the second barricade and was instead forced back to the Netherrealm from which they came. This was one battle that the Resistance would see an overwhelming victory in as he turned from the window and went back to his duty.
