The Blind Assassin readjusted herself but was once again forced to take a few steps back at the holy powers of the armored woman, feeling her own two feet burn against the ground but she withstood it. While she took a couple of steps back she did not disengage altogether and instead waited for what the Crimson Devil would do in response to Joann.
Eva took Edie by the hand and looked deeply into her beautiful blue eyes as she rubbed the back of her hand with her palm.
"There's no where in the world I'd rather be than right here by your side. I thought you knew that by now..."

Sailor V returned Luca's frown with a frown of her own. How could she be so nonchalant at a time like this? They were in a situation of life or death and here Luca was scolding her for poor manners during the heat of battle. Sailor V just shook her head. That didn't matter right now. What did matter was getting Edie help and returning to the fight against the Netherrealm. "One of your own has been seriously wounded in the fight. She's on the bottom floor with a cut to the jugular in her neck. She requested for you personally."

Jehanne finally made it to this part of the city after battling her way through chaosrealmers who had retreated to here and now, the tarkatans and shokans attempted to block her path. But none would be successful as the Knight in Training found the strength to punch her way through all obstacles that stood between her and the Netherrealm. Seeing a portal up ahead with more tarkatans pouring out of it Jehanne narrowed her eyes and lunged towards the portal. Slicing and dicing through the tarkatans as her body was enveloped by the portal and she was taken to the fiery pits of Hades.
Nothing could keep her from the one she was sworn to protect.

As if to illustrate this point further, the Crimson Devil didn't dodge. She instead faced the holy slash head on, feeling the power and risk of obliteration dripping from it without fear. Nor did she even flinch when the light from the slash threatened to blind her. She powered on through like a jet of crimson, armored claw ready to catch the Blind Assassin if she interfered again as her arm came alive creating an explosion of slashes with Kasul that erupted once she was in Joann's range.

“Take me to her.”
"There's no where in the world I'd rather be than right here by your side. I thought you knew that by now..."
Edie would have chuckled in response if it didn't cause her so much pain just to speak.

The Soldier of Truth and Justice turned around and led Luca down through the upper two levels of the building and finally to the first floor where Edie was being held. Seeing Rebecca, another doctor and the woman she did not recognize (Eva) there by her side as Sailor V made way for Utopia's leader.
"Do you think you can help her?"

Luca frowned when she finally approached Edie laid out on the table, noticing the stitches before looking over to the doctor nearby.
“All this advance medical technology at your disposal and you result to stitches?”
"Do you think you can help her?"
“I know I can.”
With a simple wave of her arm, the wounds inflicted by the sword healed over on their own and the Demon Assassin now had the strength to sit up. However the damage done to her soul by the demonic blade was something that even Luca could not heal.
“Thanks.”
Edie made sure to spare a glance to everyone who helped her.
“To all of you.”
She then turned and smiled at Eva, folding her own hands over hers.
“I'm fine now. Don't worry.”
“Your body was healed but I'm afraid the damage done to your soul is irreversible. Lucky for you Kasul didn't latch onto it or else you'd be dead and your soul lost forever.”
Luca looked up, sensing what was going on outside these very walls.
“Lucky for us the south central side of the barricade has been secured and the demons are being driven back on the northeast side. It seems Ranko has engaged Hellsing's new trump card as well. I expect this battle won't last for much longer.” |

There was absolutely no reason for Joann to move from her spot. The red devil was fast but even the immortal being such as the Saint of Orleans could see everything as it came at her. She foresaw her next attack and took a moment to think of every outcome her attacks would have. Each one ended in a different scenario and was detailed by the rights and wrongs that could happen in the event that said attack was not appropriate to defend with. Like many of her kind, the Saints in her lands, the best defense was an offense. Her entire thought process would naturally take a normal man minutes to plan out where she only took seconds. This was part of her main divinity and a skill she had gained when the holy LORD himself used her as his beacon into the next life. Along these lines she didn't move and Ranko was still slashing in her direction. The first swipe was met with the side of her broad sword causing a ripple behind the attack as the unstoppable force smashed directly into the immovable object. Each slash after was met as the unholy and holy blades collided rapidly. Though Ranko seemed to be moving much faster than Joann, she was using her sword positioning to meet several attacks with each of her defense attacks.  Joann took a brief moment to slam her sword into Ranko's with the added force of her holy power behind it staggering the onward force of Ranko's sword for just a moment to allow her to twist her sword completely backhanded and slash at the Red Devil, however, she understood the elusiveness of her foe and merely used this as a way to move her foe into a better position for a frontal assault.  |

Came Eva's reply to the stubbornness comment. Wrapping her arms around Edie and hugging her the moment she was strong enough to sit up after Luca healed her.
"You better not make a habit of this. You hear me?"

Sailor V smiled. Glad to see a happy ending for a change as she turned around and made a head for the exit of the building.
"I'm going to rejoin the fight. I'll be back with more injured in case the need arises."

Rebecca and Nadia looked as Eva was healed though something about her soul seemed to be the problem, neither woman knew what was going on and they really didn't want to know, however the statement about the Northern barricades under attack perked their heads up. They couldn't spend their entire time in the medical tent, they needed to get out of there and fight again, Rebecca took one look at Nadia and sighed, "Alright, here we go again I guess," she said taking out her submachine gun while Nadia smiled.
"Oui, admit it, you can't stop fighting," Nadia said as she turned to Sailor V, "wait for us we'll fight with you," she said running alongside Rebecca and Sailor V.

She didn't budge, not even an inch. Ranko was impressed. Normally her adversary would have backed up or attempted to push her back by now but instead Joann opt to remain rooted on the piece of soil in which she stood and match her strikes. All while never having to match her exact speed and agility. Ranko went over the slash, without jumping over Joann's head entirely, and then came back down with a vertical slash, Kasul powering up to inflict more damage looking to begin devouring the woman's essence.
"You better not make a habit of this. You hear me?"
“I hear you.”
"I'm going to rejoin the fight. I'll be back with more injured in case the need arises."
“Hold up. I'm coming with.”
“You are not going anywhere.”
“I'm needed on the field.”
“You're needed alive. You will rest here, that's an order. Let us worry about the Netherrealm.”
“You may not have heard but I'm not good at taking orders...”
“I know.”
Edie suddenly found herself on her back against the table with magical binds restraining her.
“That's why you're going to be restrained by these until I decide otherwise. Now be a good girl and don't struggle.” |

Utena's eyes were lured over where the Crimson Devil was doing battle with the armored woman, staring at their confrontation in awe as her eyes were barely able to keep up with the action and the moment they blinked she missed a critical moment in the fight throwing her off her observation. The sound of gunfire would pull her away entirely as she turned and held up her Rapier just in time for a tarkatan who tried taking off her head while she was distracted.

The Blind Assassin chose this moment to finally strike, rushing towards Ranko's side as she came down for the vertical slash towards Joann taking her feet out from under her the moment they returned to the ground with the sheath of the katana before brandishing it and swinging it to slice through the waist of the Crimson Devil to cut her in half.
Eva frowned in disapproval at Luca's action as the blonde looked over the binds holding Edie down to the table which was bound to remind her of the operation table and the experience with the Legendary Dark Knight.
"Luca. Let her go!"

The Soldier of Truth and Justice ran to where Utena and a group of Kari soldiers were still holding their ground, catching an approaching tarkatan's wrist blades with her chains and kicking him backwards with her right foot before pressing forward and using the chains as a pair of nunchucks unleashing multiple combos against the demon and putting enough power behind it to send the demon crashing into the ground by the combo's end.

Rebecca and Nadia backed Sailor V up firing their weapons towards the Tartakans, avoiding any of their swipes knowing that if that hit them they would be in a world of pain, Rebecca herself couldn't bear the thought of anyone being hit by that blade as it demonstrates enough lethality just now. She only wished that there weren't anymore surprises in store for them, since so far everything was going just fine.
