Ranko never forgot about Fukari. Even now as she was coming down with the vertical strike towards Joann the other half of her body was ready for the Blind Assassin's own strike. Bringing the armor claw down ripping through the bandages and the face of the half devil before she had a chance to trip her with the sheathed Katana. Meanwhile continuing her offense against Joann all the same.
"Luca. Let her go!"
“Trust me when I say she's better off here. She'll be release when the battle is over. Not sooner.”
With that said Luca turned around and walked away. Disappearing into the distance while Edie continued, quite futilely, to break the binds that held her down against the table. |

Utena turned her head to see Sailor V and more back up arrived as the tarkatans just kept coming in this area regardless of how many times either they or the turrets took them down. The Netherrealm was nothing if not persistent.
"Thank you," said Utena, before going to the Kari's soldier that has been helping her side and keeping her blade at the ready for any demon that he missed or tried to sneak up on him as he fired.

"No problem." Sailor V exchanged her chains for her holy sword and moved up by Utena's side, sending a surge of explosive holy energy into the direction of the demons that kept coming. "They just don't know when to quit, do they?"

Sailor V was right, these guys were really persistent, and although Rebecca and Nadia didn't mind shooting them every time they reared its ugly head sooner or later they were going to run out of ammunition. All of them were going to run out of ammunition, even turrets needed to ammo right? How long could they keep this up without an end in sight? Rebecca merely grimaced and continued to fire at the Tartakans.

The armor claw ripped through her bandages and grabbed a piece of the Blind Assassin's skin but that did not stop her attack from coming through as she swung with the katana all the same. |

Kasul acted in this instance, sending a telekinesis push towards the Blind Assassin to get her out of the way before launching a surge of powerful energy towards the half devil that would inflict massive damage if it connected. Being able to do this all while mid-strike against Joann. There were certain advantages to having a blade that was its own sentient being. |

The Blind Assassin was pushed back by the telekinesis but spun around the wave of energy that was sent towards her. Running around to the Crimson Devil's rear and closing in, mid-range however she would sheath her blade and then resheath it, sending a wave of slashes that cut through the air and aimed for the back of Ranko while she also prepared for another counter-attack by Kasul itself.

Ranko was forced to disengage Joann and turned around, parrying the slashes by the Blind Assassin that cut through air and then intercepted her charge with a charge of her own, thrusting Kasul towards the chest of the half-devil looking to latch onto her soul and end this feud of theirs once and for all. |

Holding the katana with one hand she smacked the blade against the demon sword, pushing it to the side and out of range. However the Blind Assassin knew better than to assume Kasul was done there so while she did that, Fukari drew something else from her jacket and stabbed the foot of the Crimson Devil with a claymore mind with the other hand.

Ranko went over the claymore to the foot and behind the Blind Assassin. Spinning back around with a roundhouse as she sensed that the Netherrealm were beginning to run into actual trouble with Kari, the Utopians and the entry of a vampire, demon hybrid devouring her own men. Knowing that it was all or nothing she called on reinforcement and the demons that had abandoned the other two parts of this barricade to launch a full scale attack on this sector alone to capture a foothold in the city. Another portal opened and out came the centaurians, chaosrealmers, cryomancers, eneneras, onis, saurians, shokans, tarkatans, wraiths and zombies all charging towards the Kari's defenses in the area looking to finally break through and take this area as their own. |

Just when Utena thought the situation couldn't get any more difficult than it was now another portal opened and a swarm of demons of different species came storming out towards them.
"This just got a lot more complicated."
Utena couldn't believe she was saying that. But she was. All Utena and the soldiers by her side could do was stand their ground as they rolled out of the way of a wave of ice meant to freeze them before Utena started slicing through in-coming zombies.

Sailor V was glad she had her holy sword. With an army this big it was going to take more than just chains and even her energy beams would only get her so far since she couldn't change energies like the auto-turrets and the demon army most likely already adapted to that in the previous battles. But holy was the one thing they couldn't adapt to and right now, as far as she was aware, that was their main advantage over them as she sent a second wave of holy power into the swarm of demons that came for them.
"You guys should have stayed home today because the truth is, you're finished. And as long as I'm here justice will be dealt swiftly against those who threaten the planet!"
Sailor V looked to the others.
"What do you think? That sounded cool right?"

The auto-turrets weren't about to lose power any time soon as they continued to shoot down the swarm of demons that came flooding onto the scene from the new portal as Ranko made her last ditch effort attempt to overwhelm the sector. The firehawks still in the air dropping hellcat bombs and rattlesnake missiles on the swarms below as Mammoth tanks rolled into the air firing from their dual canons and railguns, missiles launched through the air from the Mk. IIIs further assisting in the elimination of the large quantities of demons that opposed the wall.

Since the claymore never connected with Ranko's foot it was still in her hand as she spun around and met the roundhouse by thrusting the claymore straight into it not caring what happened to her own body as it exploded upon contact between them.
