"Magic." She should have figured as much. "There is no magic in my world so that's why people there can't fly." As for Genesis, "And not everyone here is magic sensitive so they can't fly either. Here we are." Aminee motioned over to the large red hotel that now stood in front of them with plenty of people coming in and out. Moving pass the crowd, Aminee escorted Cirno through the large golden lobby and over to the elevator on the right. "Ever been on one of these?"

"No magic? Pff... now that sound boring." Cirno sighed. Cirno was slightly impressed by the lobby. Then again, she was something of a Philistine, the lobby would have probably been fancier than a place like Eientei, not that she'd been there. Well, that's probably what you get when you live in a place stuck in the feudal ages.
When Cirno looked at the elevator and listened to Aminee's question she anwsered like this "Well of course I've been in a room before."
Which of course, probably told her that Cirno had no clue what an elevator was.

Aminee would take that as a no. The Pop Idol thought about using the stairs but figured Cirno was going to have to use one of these sooner or later so might as well show her now. Stepping inside the elevator Aminee directed her attention to the panel of buttons on the right-hand side of the elevator by the automatic doors. "We call this an elevator, you press on one of the buttons here and it takes you to that floor. I'm on the third floor so you'd want to press number three." Aminee clicked on three and the elevator doors closed before it started to move up. "And there we go. We're moving." Then the elevator suddenly came to a stop and the lights turned red. An irritated expression grew on Aminee's face as now of all times the elevator decided to have a problem and get stuck. Should have taken the stairs. she thought.

"I thought you said you didn't have magic." she asked. If the room moved, it had to have magic right? She was a bit concerned when it got stuck. Cirno was a bit impressed by the device. Maybe this was like one of the things Nitori tried to explain that one time she wandered down there. Well... maybe. Cirno got a headache, then fell asleep during the explanation.
When the elevator stopped, she said "Wait... what happened?"

"Magic isn't behind how this works." Aminee went over to the phone next to the elevator panel and called for help, turning back to the fairy to answer her next question. "The elevator is stuck I'm calling for help now -- Yes, hello? The elevator is stuck I need a technician. Thank you." Aminee hung up the phone. "Now we wait."

Cirno couldn't see how something like that would work without magic. Cirno sits down inside the elevator, and waits patiently for about all of five minutes before she says "I'm bored."
A thin layer of frost appears on the inside portion of the elevator door, and Cirno starts using it to draw pictures on the wall, similar to how a six-year old might do so on a frosted or steamed up window.

Great, this was all she needed. To be stuck waiting in an elevator with an impatient child. And people back home wondered why she never wanted to have any children. Jeez. "Just be patient, Cirno the elevator should be moving again any minute now. Just find something to entertain yourself." She shouldn't have said that because the second she turned around she saw the child drawing on the elevator door through frost that definitely wasn't there earlier. "Except that. Hey! That's not what I meant don't do that!"

"Ah, come on!" she thought. It was just a little frost.
"Ah come on! All they'll think is that I'm a kid who can control ice." she told her. I mean, Mokou could totally control fire, and that girl was a human. Of course, she forgot that magic wasn't there. It probably was obvious at this point that Cirno was an idiot.
Furthermore, there was another problem. Cirno was in a small room, and she was the equivalent of a walking open freezer in some ways. The temperature in the elevator was dropping, just for her being around. Not to freezing levels, mind you. But still, it would be quite a bit cooler than the outside when the doors opened.

"That's exactly my point. We don't want people thinking you can control ice." The Pop Idol failed to see what wasn't registering with Cirno but before anything else could be said Aminee began to feel a chill in the room and hugged herself, regretting not bringing a jacket along but it was the middle of Spring going on the Summer season. Who knew she'd run into an ice user of all things? "Hey is that you doing that? Quit it you're making it cold." What was taking that damn technician?

Well... Cirno had only heard her say that she didn't want anyone to guess that she was a fairy. She'd never heard anything about not using her ice powers. Cirno quickly turned off her air conditioning.
"Aw... Pretending to be a normal human is boring." she muttered under her breath.

Aminee leaned up against the elevator wall and sank down into a sit as she stared up at the ceiling of the elevator while running her hands through her hair. This was not how she wanted to spend her afternoon. Just then the elevator's power was restored and it continued going up to the third floor. "Thank God!" The elevator doors came open and Aminee led Cirno out down the hallway and to the room Utena and her shared with the number '308' on the door. Getting out her room key she put it into the lock and turned it, pushing open the door to reveal the hotel room inside. "Ta da!"

Cirno was happy when the elevator got moving again. However, when she got to the room, she was surprised.
"Ooh! Fancy!" she gawked.
It actually was rather fancy by Gensokyo standards, especially by Gensokyo fairy standards. Then again, Gensokyo was essentially stuck within the Japanese Feudal Age so far as technology was concerned.

Utena was sat on the chair by the table across from the beds with her nose in a small black bible that Father Anderson had given her when Aminee returned to the room with a little blue headed girl by her side. Utena put the bible down on the table and stood up to greet the two. "Hey, Aminee." She then hunched down to look at Cirno. "And hi. I'm Utena, what's your name?"

Aminee smiled as she closed the door behind them. If Cirno thought this was fancy the Pop Idol would have loved to see her reaction to the many five star hotels she's been to all the time back in her own world. She replied to Utena's greeting, "Hey." And noticed the bible laying down on the table while going over to her bed to put her purse down. "Where you get the bible?"

Well, another human. This place was boring... and what was she supposed to do when she left? As far the book went, she actually was literate, unlike some other yokai. However, being from a world that pretty much followed a mix of Shinto and Buddhism, she had no idea what the bible was... she had little interest in asking. Just because she could read didn't mean she liked to.
"I'm Cirno." she introduced herself.
