“You don't have to tell me twice.”
Tori hopped around the bar and crouched down under it as the weapon was fired to blow in a self-made backdoor to this place. Pieces of the wall hitting the bottles of various alcoholic drinks behind her. When stuff was finally done flying around hitting wall and glass, the Young Vampire Slayer peeped her head up from behind the bar and eyed the hole only big enough to crawl through. Well, one couldn't ask for high maintenance when they were between a rock and a hard place.
“Works for me.”
Tori moved over to the hole and knelt down in front of it, crawling through to the other side and standing up, once out of it she dusted herself off and waited for Wedge.
“All right which way to your ship?”

Wedge dragged the bed in front of the hole, lifting it enough so it did not squeak and scratch the floor. He then crawled through, eyes checking the bed that hid their escape route. Hopefully they would ignore the shrapnel, but he highly doubted it. Right now they needed a quick route to his X-wing. Wedge pointed down the road, towards the outskirts of the town. "Down the road, that way. We should move quickly, I doubt they will be easily stopped by a bed."
Wedge keyed up his comlink and activated it as he began a brisk walk away from the scene, a small beep responding his command. Mynock, power up the ship. Expect us coming in hot unless otherwise mentioned. A blat of noise came from the comlink, extracting a slight chuckle from Wedge. "I know, I know. But you know how we Rogues attract trouble left and right. Even on foreign worlds." He clicked the comlink off and slid it back into his pocket, hands foraging for a possible powerpack. A slight groan arose from Wedge, and he ran his fingers through his hair, displeasure rippling through his face.

“The hell was that?”
Tori asked in response to the blat of noise coming from the comlink until the noise behind them of the vampires breaking through the main door of the now abandoned bar caught her ears before looking back to Wedge.
“On second thought you can tell me later. Let's move!”
For once she didn't mean for that to sound nearly as bossy as it came out but one tend to forget manners when hell was breaking out behind you. Picking up the pace, the Young Vampire Slayer ran down the road in the direction Wedge pointed her in and then came to a stop in front of the white and red ship that must have been what he was talking about. Ripped right out of Star Wars.
“This is the X-Wing, eh?”
Strange how she was living every nerd fantasy right now...

That was my R2 unit, or android companion, Mynock. He's a bit of a complainer, always worrying. I named him Mynock aft- The breaking of the front door interrupted him. He glanced back to the door, and a note of concern rippled through him. That sounds like a good idea. He accelerated to a run and slid across gravel to a halt at the X-wing.
Mynock's dome whirred to look at them as it was still connected to the X-wing. The ship was humming softly, engines ready to take off in an instant. Mynock whistled at Wedge, asking what was going on. I'll explain later. Expect those guys to be hostile. Don't act, though, unless I signal you. I don't want to give you away and risk you. Mynock hummed and tweeted, and the X-wing lifted off the ground a few feet, rotating to face where Wedge and his companion ran from. It hovered there, Mynock opening the lower cargo hatch. Wedge walked up to it and grabbed a powerpack, replacing the worn out one into the charger he had a mechanic install inside. Do you want to retreat, or stay here and defend our position? I'd rather we didn't kill innocent people who, granted are out to kill or hurt us, just want to avenge their injured, I guess, friend. I might have a spare blaster in my cargo bay in here if we wish to fight.

Tori thought for a moment. As much as she wanted to say “Fuck it!” and leave so she can resume her search for the demon with the X-Wing now on her side she couldn't bring herself to allow those vampires to leave and hurt innocent people. The fact Wedge thought any of them were innocent showed how little he knew of what was going on, though to be fair she didn't fully understand everything about the supernatural either. She didn't even fully understand what she was. But one thing was for sure, the vampires had to die.
“Trust me, those things aren't innocent. If we don't take them out they'll go after the ones who are.”
Tori followed Wedge into the X-Wing and looked back at where the ship was aimed.
“It doesn't have to be anything fancy. Just injure them enough to where I can just go out and stake them one by one without much fuss.”

((OOC: The X-wing is a single man fighter, with a small cargo hatch on the bottom. Just so you don't get confused when it takes off and goes to strafe the targets.))
Wedge nodded and looked up to Mynock, who whistled in agreement. The X-wing jetted forward, and fired several lasers at the vampires, sending explosions of dirt, rock, and flesh all over the town. Vampire bits went everywhere; the sheer power of the laser cannon is enough to heavily damage and even destroy most ground vehicles. Vampires scattered all about the area. Wedge keyed his comm quickly and yelled over the noise, Mynock, make it cleaner. We have to sweep these guys so they don't get up! Mynock booped an acknowledgement as the X-wing sped off into the sky to come around for a second run.
The vampires had taken cover by now, most rather scared of the craft that had vaporized several of their comrades. One who was closer charged at the girl, hoping to get the one they were after in the first place. He could almost taste the blood he hungered for.

Tori kept behind the crate occasionally looking up to watch the X-Fighter in action as she kept her eyes pealed for any vampires close enough to actually reach her and what do you know, here comes one now. The Young Vampire Slayer jumped out of her cover to hit the vampire with a series of punches and kicks knocking it to the ground before plunging her wooden stake into the vampire's heart and watching it explode into a cloud of ash, the on-lookers behind cover not being able to do anything to help their fellow vamps and growled in contempt at the Slayer as she returned to the cover Wedge had provided for her.

Wedge smiled coldly, knowing the grim satisfaction he took when he takes out another Imperial. He let the thought disappear as his combat senses toook over, heightening his spacial awareness and his reflexes. A red bolt of superheated gas flew from his barrel to blow the brains out of a vampire who poked his head out, and the X-wing swooped over to vaporize it's victims, leaving ash from the vampire as well as his cover remaining.
A small hum eminated from the X-wing, and it stopped in mid air, rotating and continuing it's attacks as it remained motionless overhead. It hovered 20 feet in the air, nose dipping and rising to track the now-scrambling vampires. It was obvious they were scared; especially when a vampire was halved by a glancing laser blast. Some even turned and ran for their lives. Now he's just showing off.
Alright, Mynock, go block their exit. And put me on the external speakers. Mynock blatted and booped as it followed it's commands, rising into the air and dropping in front of the main body of the retreating vampires. I have no desire to wipe you all out, but neither do I let possible future hostiles escape. I'm offering you all a chance at surrender. You will not be harmed if you accept, unless you attack one of us. Refuse, and I'll be forced to end your hostilities.

Overlooking the damage that this battle has caused, Tori would not want to be part of the city community that would have to clean it up tomorrow. Upon hearing Wedge speak, the Young Vampire Slayer got within hearing distance of him while remaining in cover.
“Are you crazy? You can't negotiate with demons, they will kill again! Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow but sooner or later they'll be back to their old tricks it's just their nature!”
“All right!” yelled out one of the vampires on the opposing side, fear obvious in his trembling voice. “We surrender! We're not even hungry anymore. You can let us go.”
Tori growled quietly to herself, just the mere thought of letting them go boiled her blood but she was far from unprejudiced herself when it came to the enemy.
“You can't let them go. You just can't!”

Wedge cut the connection briefly and slightly turned his head to look at Tori, hazel eyes unwavering at her hatred towards the creatures. Demons? You call them demons? These creatures, regardless of what they may be, are still living. They deserve just as much of a right as you to continue doing so, even if they feed on humans and other creatures like us. But you seek to punish them for trying to live? Do your beasts of burden come after you with stakes and blasters to try to stop you from eating them? We've obviously sent the message that we are not their prey, and they will probably take a second thought to attacking other humans. Plus, we just decimated their entire group and can easily finish them off. They will definitely rethink their methods before striking again. They deserve the chance to surrender. Just like any other creature.
Wedge keyed up the comms again and spoke to the vampires. Everyone must come out with their hands in the air. We will not attack you, and we will let you escape with your injured friends. Try any sudden movements and we will regard it as hostility, and respond accordingly.

Angry frustration became apparent in the Young Vampire Slayer's facial features as the vampires came out with their hands in the air, as instructed, and began collecting their wounded. Tori was surprised that they didn't just leave the others there to die. She refused to look out to them another second further as it was hard enough to fight the urge to go out and finish them off. Practically fighting off every fiber of her being that told her letting them go was the wrong thing to do.
“They will kill again,” Tori repeated. “And the blood they spill will be on your head, not mine.”
The vampires finished rounding up their injured and then the lead spoke up, “All right. We're going. See ya!”
Tori shook her head at the sheer cowardice from who she assumed was their leader as the group of vampires retreated and didn't look back for a moment. With the battle now behind them Tori stood up out of cover and dusted herself off as she looked back to Wedge.
“Now can we go about tracking down the demon you said you could help me with? He was last seen at the docks. Probably long gone by now but still worth the effort.”

Wedge squinted at the retreating vampires, and nodded slowly as his X-wing came about to land again. Yes, they will kill again. As will you. As will I. I've seen enough lives lost in my head to drive many a man insane. More will not change my views. He was in no mood to argue morality with Tori, especially since he was not familiar with the issue here. However, unnecessary killing was still as universal as ever to Wedge and he had no plans on changing it from that. Yes, about that creature. Can you give me any information about it? For example, size, weight, composition, energy used, etcetera? It would make this search significantly easier for you as well as my sensors.

Tori didn't respond. She had about as much interest in arguing morality with him then he did with her. Wedge didn't understand, how could he? He hasn't seen what she's seen and Tori honestly hoped that he never would. Just the fact that she more or less introduced him to this world of vampires and demons were enough to make her feel guilty already.

“Eight feet tall, made of rock so he's definitely not light. As black as night making him hard to see with silver horns on his head. Eyes also just as black as the rest of him. Doesn't have any fashion sense so he just runs around naked but don't worry. Demons don't seem to have anything... down there... And you're gonna have to be more specific about the last thing you asked. He's a demon. His energy would be demonic...”

Wedge did not even flinch by her words, recognizing the height as about being the size of an Imperial Scout Walker. Nothing he has not face before, on foot and in an X-wing. Hopefully this 'demonic' status she kept putting with it would not have any more tricks that his X-wing's shields could not take.Demonic..? Is that plasma-based? I have no experience with these 'demons' you speak of. He keyed in the information into the terminal, and Mynock whisteled an idea. Seisimic results would be something to look for, in the general area. Miss, do you know of any recent and or frequent geoloical incidents besides that of the creature? If this payed off, he could get a precise track of its movement, as well as its desired destination.

"Demonic..? Is that plasma-based? I have no experience with these 'demons' you speak of."
“Count your blessings.”
"Seisimic results would be something to look for, in the general area. Miss, do you know of any recent and or frequent geoloical incidents besides that of the creature?"
“Scan for fire in the area. The demon has been known to burn down entire neighborhoods. He burnt mine to the ground.”
Tori grew silent as the memory of her home burning replayed in her mind. Eyes watering and tears threatening to fall down her cheek but she wouldn't allow them to. She wiped them away and made sure her back was turned on Wedge so he couldn't see it. That was the last thing she wanted anyone to see. Her pain.
“Find that then finding him won't be a problem.”
Fighting him on the other hand would be a different story.
