Grey simply walked up to the girl and poked her head lightly, almost immaturely; a sign of his less then serious side that came out often. "You have a base right? Yeah, no? Maybe? We should probably either go thier, or I can have a portal to my library created, but I'd need to find a few things for it. Namely a large graveyard and a lyre."
He squatted down, though was still probably taller than the hobbit and smirked. Thinking for a second, he simply shrugged and displayed more childishness. "Well I'm going to call this one miniature. Seems liker a suitable name for me to remember him by. Your name can be . . . . Paul-back. I don't know why, but it's memoral enough, aye?" Grey chuckled with delight, and shook his head in a sort of good mood now.
'Maybe not, Miss, but I can't be bothered with names. Too much hassle and there's no real point to them. Only very few names actually matter to me, in the end."

Sam glared, getting more ticked off by the second. Who did this guy think he was? Disregarding the man's power, Sam folded his arms and stated coldly, "Well, this had better matter to you then! Get somethin' straight, here, sir."My name is Samwise Gamgee, and you'll call me that! I may not look it, but I've been through a thing or two before I came here, and I haven't gone to war and back again just to be called immature by you!" Sam said angrily. His cheeks were flushed and his eyes glinted with indignation.

Aminee smiled, glad to see that the man was defending himself. She looked back to Grimm still conflicted whether or not she should take them both to the base. While he did help her out he's certainly done some things to warrant a distrust in the woman's heart. The Pop Idol wasn't sure if showing him the hidden base of the Isafaro resistance would be a good idea. "I do know a place where we can go." she replied to Grimm. "The problem is I don't trust you."

Grimm heard the girls words, and thought for a moment. he retrieved from his coat a small, and rather ancient book; it was quite thick, however, and the pages themselves were quite stiff. He took it up, and ripped it in two, then smashed the two halves together; the result being two small rings which oddly seemed to be changing size slightly.
The silver rings had nothing really strange about them, except for the glowing rune on the outer edge, a small scythe emblem. Seeming satisfied, he let them fall to the floor; they did not touch the ground however. They took flight of thier own accord, one to just in front of Aminee, and one just above the hobbit.
"I'll give you my favourite book. Then we'll call it even. But you have to promise to take care of it alright? It's . . . I can't replicate that book. Not what's inside it anyway. I haven't read it." Grimm's words came, sombre and rather dreery. Motioning toward the rings lightly, he nevertheless looked like a parent giving away thier child. He turned for a moment, and sighed. "Now that you both have something precious of mine, can you trust me?"
He took a step and slashed a new hole with his scythe, seemingly more out of frustration than of need, and smirked to the little hobbit. "That includes you, miniature. No losing my ring, no trying to bite it, or sell it. If you do, I won't be happy, you know?" He shook his head, and sat casually looking out into the night, lightly regarding the waking guards in the building as a "nuisance" among other slightly choice words, and then shrugging and pulling out a small bit of bread from earlier. "Hmph, thanks for the bread too, miniature. You ever need any food, you come to me, I'll keep you healthy and fighting fit. Can't have a brave little thing like you getting killed already now can we? It'd make me feel bad." . . . And with that he went on the mindlessly murmur incoherently, and obviously in possibly several other languages.

Sam's eyes widened in awe as the silver ring floated above him. Even the most mundane acts of magic seemed beautiful to the hobbit. He reached out and plucked it from midair, examining it as he did so. Memories came back, of another ring, though it was long sinse destroyed. He nodded at Grey, glad of his trust. He similed slightly as he pocketed it ad looked up at Animee and Grey. "Where are we going now?" he asked.

Grey's eyes seemed to dull for a second, and then he sighed uncharacteristically with melancholy. Shaking his head, he simply sat and stared out, mumbling something inaudible, and getting up to walk to the girl. He used his index and middle finger to prod her rather gently in the centre of her forehead, the ring still hovering for her to take. "Oi . . . time to get moving, so hurry up and take my ring, then take us to the base. That way I can visit after I go back to the library. I just remembered something . . . "Grey's rather childish face turned to that deadly calm that seemed depressive, and his eyes were dulled of any real emotion. Shaking his head, he moved back to sit on his previous perch, and began singing a song, a sad song. He commanded with words for other instruments to lightly accompany him; a violin, an acoustic guitar, and a small horn which played a rather smooth and rounded tone. His voice sombre, his eyes watering, he sung rather mournfully; and the bell tolled for midnight as the words came to be heard.
"Drea no atro ney di, Tvorsa no kira ma no_ Drea lian de vistok, mana ta lo, I miss the girl who once held my world_ The roses she gave me, The smile on young lips, Her youth so amazing, My sister, Lai Eclipse, The lady for freedom, whose name goes unsung, except on the morning, her life was undone, Nah do i mai repri, Lai Ecplise mah do reh, For lost is the lady, No prayers from her friends."
His lyrics mixed between common and several other languages, and a small ghost not far could be seen dancing, as Grey's eyes finally swelled and let loose some tears. Still he sang, the same verse again, the lyrics always repeated. The song ended with the violin, and he shook his head as the last of the ghost bowed and walked close, arm outstretched. It seemed they would touch, as Grey reached out himself, but the girl faded, and disappeared to nothing.
Grey's entire being went still then, and he never uttered another after the ghost departed. Even his eyes looked gone.

Sam looked at Grey, concerned. He walked over to where Grey sat, and said quietly, "That was a very pretty song, Mr. Grey. Was it elvish?" Sam stood by the depressed-looking youth, saying nothing else. He shrugged at Animee, and looked at Grey again. "Shall we get going, Sir?" he prompted.

Aminee came to at the prod having been lost in a trance previously by the beauty of the ring floating in front of her. An irritable expression present on her face as she snatched the ring from the air and placed it into the pocket of her black jacket. The Pop Idol had read too many fantasy novels to put a ring she barely knew anything about on her finger but either way she ultimately decided it'd be best to take both back to the base. Surely the resistance would be able to handle Grimm if he did try anything.
"All right let go. But do try to keep it down. We're not accustomed to returning to the base in groups. If you think someone is following us make it known." Without further ado Aminee sped up her walk then slowed down once in the front leading them out of the library and on the road to the abandoned warehouse that conceals the rebel base from the oppressive government.

Grey;s face looked unimpressed at the warehouse; he obviously saw a little humor in the cliche of using an abandoned warehouse, but the smile didn't cross his lips. Without any tone of malice, he shrugged, and opened a portal.
"I'll be back within about 4 hours . . . I suggest you two get some sleep or whatever it is you normal people. I have to go visit my . . . I have to visit someone. Any questions?"
Grey's tone was hardly one that normally reflected pain; but even now it sounded near broken in spirit. He lightly raised a hand and rubbed his head with his hand, which seemed to relax him slightly; something similar to petting an animal even. And at that he stood, waiting for any questions that should arise. His coat billowing, his face stone, and his eyes made of something dreadfully unimpressive.

"No." Aminee answered simply. She walked to the entrance of the warehouse but instead of reaching to open the door, she walked right on through the entrance like a ghost through a wall. Everything about the warehouse was a lie, a clever illusion illustrated to hide its real purpose. Them. Halfway through the wall Aminee held out a hand to escort Sam to the other side. "Don't be afraid. This is just a smokescreen, it can't hurt you."

Sam stopped and looked back, a little concerned. Hopefully Grey would be okay this late at night, he thought with a frown. Then, Sam remembered what Grey had said about Reapers and didn't worry as much. He sighed, and averted his attention forwards, watching as Animee strode directly through the wall. Sam gasped and took a few steps backward, but soon she appeared again. Sam nodded at her words ad slowly took her hand, still a bit wary of the strange device. Soon, just as Animee had sad, Sam passed trough he wall without felling anything. "Unnatural!" he muttered, not wanting Animee to be offended.

-Meanwhile, in The Library- Grey walked along the halls so familiar to him. He remembered a large deal of this place, in fact, he could remember the very pages of all the millions of books in this nexus of knowledge, a place where all writings are gathered, from children's first musings, to great professors of massive compounds. There wasn't much he didn't actually know up until a certain point; the Joining. This joining had fused the worlds together, from all sources he could find. As Grey's eyes scanned the floor instead of bookshelves and pages of yore, he began to tear up rather significantly; it's hard for one like him to understand these emotions with only books as his guide.
He knew he felt fear, as he came closer to a light in the center of the Library, where the only tree and garden grew in this entire place of artificial intelligence. The one shred of nature. As he grew closer still, tears fell freely, as a gravestone came into sight, and once he'd reached it, he took out his scythe, and rested it slowly against the carved rock. Taking out his pistol, he said a few words, and it transformed into a rather long rifle, attached at the end with a bayonet. He rested it also against the scythe and stone, and stood back, and knelt in front of the grave.
marked on the grave was the words so warm tot he reapers heart; "Lai Eclipse Lady of the Reaper, Born a slave, Died a great friend, a sister, and a liberator. May your soul rest sweetly, My dear Lady"
The carvings were slightly faded, but Grey simply wiped it new with his finger. He began to sing; the first time the song had been sung after the joining of worlds. As a full orchestra suddenly embraced him on time, he realized his sister Lai was listening.
What he did not realize was that all in Isafaro, and beyond. A hauntingly sad moment for the world to share in lost pain, in forgotten loss, and for some who'd lived for centuries in a certain realm, bitter memories of a great life taken. As Grey sung his tune, directly from his broken heart, it poured out a gentle light from within; and his scythe grew to be marked with strange and alien carvings, even to him.
As he finally finished his song, 3 and a half hours later, he wondered what the others had done while he mourned. He bowed his head in great respect to his sister, who almost seemed to smile from the grave, and he turned away and walked, leaving his weapons there a moment before they disappeared back to his side.
"One day I will join you sister. Just wait for me. And don't get lost in the light like your mother. Just wait while I live my life for us both, alright?"
And he walked through the large wooden doors that led to oblivion.
((You guy's will have to explain what has happened during the time Grey was singing ^_^ He started his song 10 minutes after leaving, just so you know))

On the other side of the wall was a large and dimly lit tunnel where the path led downward to a set of labs that made up the Isafaro Resistance headquarters. Between the entrance of the tunnel and the labs were several guards armed with rifles and ankle pieces with barricade for cover fire in case their location ever was compromised and they were the last line of defense to the base itself.
"Don't be afraid. These guys are with me." The Pop Idol continued to hold Sam by the hand, leading him towards the end of the tunnel and into the first of several brightly lit, white labs that smelled of smoke and chemicals. "We'll be safe here. The bad people outside are unaware this building leads anywhere. It looked like even the Grim Reaper that was with us were fooled by the outside. What do you think?"

Sam was very impressed by the intirior of the base. The construction was unlike anything he had ever seen, and it was clear that the base was meant for secrecy. There were even armed guards standing at the entrance. Seeing them take orders for Animee, Sam realized that she might hold a position of importance as well. However, important or not, Sam did not appreciate being led by the hand like a small child and he pulled his arm away. After gazing around the structure some more, Sam said "Well, it's very hidden,Ma'am, but what exactly is it we're hiding from, if you don't mind me askin'? What exactly is the purpose of this here...base?"

Aminee offered Sam an apologetic smile as she realized she was doing likewise as Grimm did earlier in the night. "This place is to conceal ourselves from the presence of the current ruler of this city. General Vulture. He offers the people here no rights and so we fight against him but since his army is large and ours are small we must hide. If he was to ever find out our location it would be bad news for us." The Pop Idol looked around the labs for either Imai, 201, Kragen, Garrus, Kira, basically any familiar face to introduce to Sam and explain the situation to. "My friends shouldn't be too far. They can explain things better than I."
