Grey Everlost was running, which he seemed to do a lot. He wasn't scared, and he wasn't exactly worried about getting lost; he'd been that way since he left the safety of the library he'd lived in. This whole situation truly started when Grey heard of the city of Isfaro's own library; he sought to read all the books he could then. When he found strange round objects and small boxes with light coming out, and words on the strange lightened parts, he understandably was a bit shocked; he probably shouldn't have snapped all those strange flat things trying to open them up and read them.
Even though Grey still didn't understand how a library could exist without books, he was told to leave, and then the guards were set on him for persisting to find out the secrets to the magic boxes with words. Needless to say, they quickly dispatched an elite team after him after the first 4 teams were knocked out cold.
He could hear them behind him, and he was more than annoyed at the lack of a break. "Tch, what a nuisance!" he muttered as he leapt from roof-top to roof-top.
And the shadows kept following, tracking him as he sensed through them, as he fled into and out of buildings, and violently tore through dead ends with a large, rather ornate scythe.

Aminee's eyes went wide and her jaw dropped as she saw Grimm simply run past and tear through a wall with a large scythe in his hands. The Pop Idol rubbed her fist in her eyes to make sure she wasn't seeing things but Lord behold there was a man tearing through walls with a large scythe. It didn't take long to find out what he was fleeing from as the ruffling of soldiers feet could be heard drawing near her and the other rebel troops position in the closed down high school.
A gunfight quickly began between Vulture's men and rebel troops as Aminee ran out the newly built backdoor, compliments of the stranger with the scythe, her 9mm tightly in her hands as she looked around for any sign of the man but found none. Dressed in all black, baggy clothes and combat boots leaving a LOT to the imagination, Starlight looked up, she looked sideways and she looked down as the pistol was pointed out ready to fire should the need arise.

There in that small area, a flame would spark up and start to grow bigger and bigger before going out in a puff of smoke, the young demon standing in it's place , the dark crimson eyes searching around for a moment before he pats at his clothes. "Huh...I guess this place is much bigger than I expected...Might take a while before I can get my bearings." He takes another look around, hearing all the gunfire and shouts, a large grin spreading across his lips.* " Sounds like something exciting is going on outside...I do wonder if I should lend a hand." He pondered the thought, tapping at his lip a few times before conjuring a small flame to his hand, rolling it around his fingers.
The demon would inch closer and closer to a window to take a look outside, chuckling quietly. He decided he would stay here for now...Perhaps the others wouldn't need his help...But he did enjoy the thought of getting to put a few people down...but which side to help? With a small sigh, the demon would flop onto his rump and start poking at his head, much like Pooh. "Think...Think....Think."

Grey Everlost sighed as several bullets narrowly missed him; a small smirk crossing his lips. "Don't you slow humans ever get tired? Tch, what a nuisance."
He quickly drew out a pistol from his coat as he jumped from his very temporary perch; it seemed to disappear into a hail of bullets as the soldiers quickly took fire. Hardly losing step as he moved at near mach speeds, he raced back through the hole he'd created before they caught up. A small shockwave, knocking several less steady troops off thier feet, and causing a small friction flame to appear, the youth quickly leaping out of the very same hole, his obvious hit and run tactics causing the soldiers to lose ground with him fairly quickly. He was thanking his stars that none of the enemy seemed to know any sort of attack spells, and his eyes lit up and he finally decided to end a young man's life. Slowing only slightly, he slashed through the middle of the gunman; it took a few seconds for the soldier to realise what had happened as he fell to the ground in shock.
"Tch," Grey's face switched from smugness to exasperation as roughly another 10 troops appeared through his little escape route. "Why do they have to be such a persistent nuisance?"
He pulled out a small strange round object as he now raced, and sighed with exasperation. "Worst books ever" he thought to himself out loud.

Aminee suddenly found herself paralyzed in fear at the sight behold her. Even though the Crimson Vulture were her enemy they were still human beings and seeing them cast aside, one even killed by the scyhe-wielding fiend with no regard for human life was a terrifying sight to behold for sure. But she couldn't allow herself to give in to the fear. Holding up her weapon the Pop Idol forced herself to hold it steady and looked into the eyes of Grimm. The 9mm in her hand was all she knew. Its bullets were the fastest weapons that most of her kind could have. If it didn't work one could only rely on a pocket knife for so long before it gave out on you. She attempted to speak but all she could do was stutter.
"D-don't move! I'm w-warning you. Don't t-try anything!"

Grey's acute ears heard the small cry of a young girl crying out; something that stopped him as he looked wildly at the source. The smirk on his face disappeared as he appeared to realise something, his eyes wide with shock, followed by a look of shame. His stance turned from hostile to submissive in an instant, and he let the scythe fall to the ground, which blew apart into several small beams which raced back to his jacket. He casually threw his pistol from his left to his right hand and fired a full clip at the feet of the closest soldier. Uttering some unheard word, it exploded violently, knocking the trooper off his feet, but it was doubtful if it did more than that. He smirked and called over, hoping this time to appear a little less threatening; his stance after firing the shot switched to resistant, his feet ready to move if he needed to.
His voice was slightly childish, and the youth, while obviously confident, suddenly seemed to look a little vulnerable. He raised the small round thing he'd pulled out earlier; a disk to be sure, but it seemed obvious this boy new nothing of it. "Is this a book? Why doesn't it work?"

Aminee was caught off guard by the man but in a different matter than one would have anticipated. Instead of capitalizing on her weakness he looked shocked and ashamed before disarming himself before the woman. The Pop Idol would jump as the weapon exploded into small beams and jumped again when he fired from another weapon but after she saw that it was never aimed at her she relaxed a little.
Although he called her over Aminee didn't move from her position nor did she lower the weapon in her possession. She still didn't fully trust this man and with damn good reason. At his question Aminee cocked an eyebrow and then looked to the disk in his hand which the stranger had confused for a book.
"That's a disk. It stores information so in some ways it's like a book but it only works in a computer. Why? Who are you?"

Grey looked to the "disc" in amazement and then annoyance crossed his face as he smirked at his reflection. Noticing a man sneaking up behind him in the reflection, he twisted and his scythe re-appeared, lightly cutting the man and then firing another explosive bullet. Turning back, his face reflected glee as his weapons faded and he held the disc up high, seemingly tring to find a way to read it. "A book! But where are all the words? And why are the pages so . . . . hard and brittle? Is it a new book?," Grey took a small sniff and wrinkled his nose in distaste, "Doesn't smell like a book!" Maybe you're trying to trick me? Maybe you just want to get it back . . . ?"
For a moment, Grey almost seemed to be talking to himself, but the youth quickly turned back to answer her question finally after his barrage of queries. He bowed low and smirked broadly, proud, or even arrogant, eyes glaring fiercely at the girl. He pulled out his gun and shot another approaching soldier in the knee cap, with about as little effort as a yawn, but his voice sounded quite formal;
"My name is Grey Everlost, Man of the Scythe, Grimm Reaper, and warrior-poet hailing from the great Library!"

Aminee felt another ringing in her ears after the next explosive bullet was ejected before it was her turn to be annoyed when the conversation between the two continued. It was like talking to a wall only you got more from a wall. "I am not trying to trick you I said it was like a book in some ways not that it was a book." It was hard to focus with all these soldiers and guns going off and yet another one of the man's weapons went off to shoot a guy in the kneecap. The Pop Idol remembered when she shot herself around that area and the last thing she needed was to be reminded of the pain right now. "Grey Everlost?" Appropriate. "Grim Reaper?" After another loud shot was heard in the distance Starlight had just about enough of this. "Perhaps we best continue this conversation somewhere more... quiet..."

At the words of the young girl, he looked to the soldiers, sighed, and gave them an oddly dissatisfied look, his eyes maliciously flickering slightly in the faint lights. "I do suggest you soldiers don't bother me again. Next one to come gets decapitated, quicker than you can say 'Die' . . . "
He began walking toward the girl, waving the disc around and almost childishly grinning, singing some odd song in a language long lost. "Dillius, far no sirsil ni forum do rah! So nei to do beria di liangve!"
As he drew closer his tone grew a bit more sombre, and his talent in singing became evident, his lower notes resonating. Several guards fell to their knees, frozen at the notes, and indeed even Grey's childish grin disappeared. He finished the song, and sighed heavily before coming right up beside the girl and giving a quick smile.
"Teach me how to read these books, and I'll keep it down. Let's go where-ever it is you wanted to go. But let's be quick. That spell only lasts for as long as it resonates in thier minds . . . " Grey explained, almost seeming impossibly serious. His tone had darkened, and for a second, he might have almost shed a tear.

Upon hearing the singing voice of the man, Aminee felt herself strangely at peace. Like everything was going to be okay. She even felt a part of her wanting to throw herself at the man but all that changed when he popped up next to her asking how to read the disc, wondering why she felt weird before but there was no time for that now. "First thing we have to do is find a place with computer access. That shouldn't be too hard."
Aminee looked back through the hole Grimm had made in the building behind them having faith that her friends in the resistance would be able to hold off the rest of the enemy forces while they went on their way. Starlight led Grimm out onto the main streets where they wandered for a good couple of minutes before finally spotting a library around the street corner. "Over there! We'll have to sneak past security but we should be able to access one of the library computers to read what's ever on that disc."

The man of the Hood looked to the tall building, and smirked once, pointing to a large hole in the wall on the side of the building. Shaking his head as he looked it over, he sighed with exasperation and simply shrugged. Security, Grey thought, wouldn't be an issue. Not the non living mechanical ones set on him at first. But if they'd posted guards, Grey would most likely have to sing again. His eyes flashed as he uttered a word, and the color of his eyes changed to a bright pink color. Inisde, Grey saw several heart beats, revealed as small shadows, and his eyes shifted to the left. Seeing a large amount of shadows, he sighed and realised he didn't have a choice. He smirked at the girl, lightly took her hand and began to lead her onward to the library as he uttered a strange phrase. "Vios, Mirano ta liore". Somewhere, a violin and harp began playing softly, reverberating through the whole street> His voice now lightly joined it, his eyes closed, and he began leading himself, and the girl, to the library.
It didn't take long to actually reach the library, and his eyes opened as he continued to sing. One guard fell to the ground as Grey's cloak came through the hole. He pulled the girl up, and continued his song, the violin now changing it's timbre to something even sadder.
"Divorest ne dire, ne traughto mah shue, Re lire and the glory it came, And the men who opposed him had fallen to rest, To fall into deepest of dreams"
His lyrics slipped to common tongue, His eyes returning to thier average blue hue, and his smirk concluded the song with a final word. "Sleep . . . "
The music stopped, and Grey quickly turned to confront the girl. "Ever heard of the Songs of the Dead, young one?" He murmured, seemingly amused.
Turning to the library, he looked and sighed. "What a nuisance to have to complicate books so much. What do we do now?" His eyes were rather intense, even for a cool headed youth, his eagerness to read evident. And from his pocket he retrieved the disc and held it up, twisting it a little as he smirked once more that trademark grin.

Aminee had to resist the urge to get lost in his singing as he took the lead once they entered the closed library. At least he wasn't ripping through human flesh with his scythe anymore but there was still something "haunting" about his voice when he sang. Haunting yet at the same time peaceful. That was what death was at the end of the day. Peace. The Pop Idol simply shook her head at Grimm's question about the song and walked over to one of the computers in the room and sat down in the chair in front of it. Motioning for him to hand over the disc she turned on the PC and placed the disc into the CD Rom drive and waited for the CD to boot up. "Any minute now..."

it more than shocked the imaptient Grey that his face was on the magic box before him; but the title was in ancient text, labelled roughly as "Experimental 55, Fail". As he reached forward he tyried to turn the page; a silly mistake as the box was ripped apart rather violently. After recieving a nasty shock, he furiously grabbed his scythe and proceded to smash several other boxes, cursing rather loudly in common, and at one point even comoing close to bringing down a support pillar in the room. he finished his rage rather quickly, and pulled out the disk and snapped it, simply and calmly it seemed, and sighed in angry bitterness. "A nuisance like that, all these fake books should be smashed"he muttered, and began walking out, waving what seemed to be a good-bye. But he stopped, clutched at his stomach and fell rather quickly, and it was obvious now from the rumblings that his gut had needed food for days.
"Tch, another nuisance . . . " he also muttered and he reached into his coat. "Gotta have some rations here somewhere . . . " was a whisper audible, but his cry of frustration was evident, the laughter that followed uncannily bitter; something he didn't have in his coat.
He tried to stand, but passed out instead, his last strength ebbing slightly as he tried to move.

((Sorry for this abrupt joining))
The Rookie was lost again, and in a city to... not a very good for food without stealing, which he may have to do. You couldn't hunt good game in a city, game that isn't infested with a deadly disease or anything. He had two more days of rations left, and he really needed a map. He needed to know every nook and cranny of the city to avoid capture. The Rookie was suspicious looking enough roaming around in a military grade uniform. If he could only find a place with a good network.....
There! The place looked like a library. It had the quietness of it though.... or maybe nobody was home? Rookie hoped so. He entered it and found it quiet.... save for a few quiet whispers. Just in case he drew his M7/S submachine gun, and stalked the place for people... It looked clear... at least until he stumbled upon two others.
