Snow was falling, a natural phenomena that occurred when the temperature was low enough to cause water to freeze in the atmosphere. This wasn't the only place it was falling but the interesting part about this place was the massive horde of darkness that was a scourge army moving in on the mountain city of Elysios. Azrail chose to cut the elves a break considering their god was compassionate and the god of light was a prude.
It was an ego thing.
His army halted and a section parted allowing Azrail to walk between them and out into the large open stretch of land. He stopped about half way calling to the city his voice amplified by some form of magic, "People of Elysios, your god has condemned you to the scourge that is my army. You have the option of kneeling and serving your true master, or remaining at 'his' side and dying to be raised only as a mindless ghoul. Dare your god stand before me, I shall await him."
The ranks of the undead were thick shoulder to shoulder with very few small gaps. The necromancers over the last hundred or more years had collected hundreds of thousands of corpses bringing them back to life, but this wasn't even the core of his army. This was but a taste. His generals all rode on broken horses, bone showing through their undying husks of bodies, they each wore a color that separated them from one another.
Every hundred yards within the ranks was a necromancer, their purpose was unknown for the time being. Several constructs were pulled along the path of the army their purpose also unknown for the moment. The Horde had finally come.
Winter had finally come.

The wheels of the chariot came alive alongside the clash of thunder and flash of lightning in the sky. Down from the palace and stopping at the opposite side of the open stretch was the God of Light with his wife and behind him his armies of spear-wielding guards and Black Knights with their swords and shields at the ready watching the snow fall. Lord Phalis' eyes met the cold gaze of the god of death as he raised up his right hand and generated a lightning bolt ready for launch.
"I dare, Azrail! Elysios will not fall to the likes of you! We will send your army back to the depths from which they came!"

"It will only fall for moments before it rises again as a phoenix from ashes," he raised his right hand and the undead arches within the ranks of the horde raised their bows aiming their projectiles on an arch that would fall upon the god and his men if they dare release their arrows. He was simply mocking the hand of lightning with his own hand of plague, "Watch how simply your mountains are overlooked by the wings of plague."
At the final words one would hear the cry of thousands of gargoyles roar from the depths of the mountain raising from snow fields a black mass of flying creatures. He expected many of them to die but it was their purpose even so, as they made it to the peak of the sky and then swarmed directly in Elysios' path. Each of these winged monstrosities carried a barrel with its clawed legs and swooped low over the city.
"Like the cock you are named after, I will reem the life from your city even at the cost of all who stand with me."

Hekate's dark eyes looked over to Azrail and his undead army while doing her best to conceal her fear from her spot in the chariot. But while she could contain the emotion beneath a masked expression there was no hiding the instinct even with her power. Her eyes saw the arrows and followed them to where they were aiming before the sound of the gargoyles reached her ears followed by the screams of their people as they fled back in the city. Turning back to her husband as she waited.

Phalis looked up to the arch over their heads and chuckled.
"Like my arch, do you?"
The lightning he raised vanished but he kept his hand in the air. The arch above began to shake before being lifted up into the air through the god's power and then sent plummeting down atop Azaril's and his hoard of undead heads. Meanwhile back in the city the guards left behind went to work assisting the civilians as their own archers raised up their arrows and launched them at the gargoyles.

Gargoyle's fell from the sky with arrows pressed into their bodies. The barrels they carried hit the ground shattering releasing a green gas into the air. Those that remained in the air dropped the barrels into the city and began swooping down on those within the walls.
He dropped his hand in the middle of Phalis' moving the arch away from them and his archers fired their arrows sending a large mass of projectiles aimed straight for the god and any around him. His army was perfectly fine if the arch was indeed aimed at him considering the distance he was away from them. If not, then some got squished.
Azrail could bother to move but a falling arch was the least of his worries as he pulled his sword in an upward slash sending a mixture of his power straight into the air slamming into the arch, this was one of his special attacks issued from his sword, the power behind it would be enough to shatter and vaporize most things made of such material.
The Death God remained planted on solid ground as stone fell around him, he calmly turned and began walking back toward his army which began advancing toward him.

The Death Witch held up her hand, outstretching her palm and sending a large wave of magic into the trajectory of the arrows causing them to crumble into ash which fell into the snow. More for the benefit of herself and the soldiers around them as Phalis wouldn't have been harmed by such a thing. Observing how the death god destroyed the in-coming fallen arch before giving her husband a side-glance.

Yuuto was wandering aimlessly after being saved by an old man that he met when he arrived in this world. he chose to wandering around the world to find a way for him to come back to his world, though he doesn't have any clue at all. in this cold, he can survive with his clothes that colored black from head to toe especially the cloak he wears right now. his body is perfectly fine to cold as he's already accustomized to it since long ago.
from a distance, he can see that there is a war that's obvious who's the attacking side. seeing that the force of that scale could destroy the whole city, Yuuto decided to protect it...as he feels that is the right thing to do...it seems that his feeling to protect people still lingering in his heart even though he's faced with his greatest despair few days ago.
His speed is something that can't be seen with normal eyes. in an instant, with his Knife that Kirin gave him in his right hand, he began his assault on the massive horde of darkness from the side, trying to flank them and making them to lose their formation as he's slashing every mindless ghould around him without any wasted movement. though, he can't do anything about the gargoyles that has reached the city.

The people inside the walls didn't know what the gas was and didn't want to be the first to find out. Some covered their mouth and others held their breath as they ran in the opposite direction of where the wind blew the gas. The archers continuing to fire arrows at the remaining gargoyles in the sky while the others ducked down to avoid them as they swoop down, heading for shelter.
Phalis was impressed by the showcase of power on the death god's part. Something he might have shown had it not been for his pride. The God of Light would hold off for just a little while longer as he observed the enemy army moving towards their leader while a lone wolf not affiliated with Elysios began flanking them from the side.

This new comer was as brave as he was stupid it seemed. Attempting to flank the massive army from the side they would dig themselves into the army while eventually becoming surrounded from the back as the undead funneled in remaining as they were. When Azrail approached his army they all began parting in a line directly to the lone wolf, his hand raised blasting a massive wave of ice straight down the path toward Yuuto.
Azrail continued walking though, he was not worried about the lone wolf or their terrible attempt at taming the pack, the undead were parting for him as he walked in the opposite direction of Elysios. The front line of the army bore their shields directly in front of them however ready to move onward.
Within the barrels was a terrible plague. Any who would die would rise again as a minion of Azrail. This plague wasn't as strong as the one released on the Dead City before it was that, the systems of the human body could recycle it as a common cold, but if they were to die they would indeed rise and begin spreading the infection as a zombie.
Gargoyles continued the routine they were thinning out but they knew they were as expendable as the marching ghoul army, their job was also done as the ones they picked up and dropped back in the city began to rise again as corpses and began sprinting at any living target near them.

Winter had come?
Meet Steel Rain
Hundreds of these pods were released from a massive carrier nearly 50,000 meters into the sky. They swarmed down on the clearing between Azrails army and the God of Light. Several of them were aimed for the front lines of the ghoul army, they were suicidal but that's what the Helldivers did. Every pod hit at different times but they were precise to not hit one another or destroy anything in their path that wasn't walking dead.
The Helldivers hit first and kicked down the doors to their black and red pods staring directly at the Ghoul army nearly twenty feet away. Each of them began unloading their weapons into the army dusting the front line with AP rounds that easily went through their shields. The Guardian forces were landing closer to the God of Light but not close enough to consider them a threat. Their pods were the normal black with Harker Industries written across the side.
The commander ordered his men to reverse flank and aim for the skies to mow down the Gargoyles that were present. After his order he began walking toward the God of Light with his hands off his weapons and up in the air, he had a remote device in his hand that he clicked once and it projected Harker himself ten feet away from the God of Light in a holographic form.
"Sorry to uh... Rain, on your parade, but I saw a distinct opportunity to give a show and I'm taking it. My name is Constantine Harker, I full well know who you are and I'd like to present to you my detergent for the Ghoul army. My duty here is to protect your people and build this continent of Elim so that it's not so muddy."

The boy displayed amazing acrobatics ability as he dodged almost every attack the army throwed at him. a battle like this is what Yuuto always did in his world even though right now, he's fighting creatures that aren't human. Flanking the imperial army by himself is one of his routine too. this is proven by his natural movement in dodging. though, few slashes got him in various places only to get healed by his own regeneration.
"Distortion..." He mumbled
the massive wave of ice was nothing of him as he just simply standing and staring at the wave. as the wave seems to hit him, the wave disappeared completely like it's melting in the moment it came in contact with Yuuto's body. Yes, he coated himself with his ability to prevent the ice from touching him. after the massive wave has disappeared, he simply continue to fighting the army of horde while ignoring the one who threw the wave at him, the Death God. he's ignoring him completely like he's mocking him. But, his priority is, to at least hinder the movement of the army.

Rao remained still as she watched the two armies stand and the first moves being made. Red eyes danced over one side to the other as she debated. Her eyes landed on Azrail, thinking for a moment. The plague was nothing new to her, she had been an accomplice to Blight as they served under Dark Lord Yami, she was aware how to protect herself from such things as a result. To hide this though, Rao pulled her prayer slips from their hiding place within her clothing and fanned them out and used the fan to hide her face. By all rights here, she should have supported Azrail. It made sense. He seemed similar enough to the Dark Lord Yami, and was certain enough that The Emperor of Eternal Darkness would wish for her to assist him, his army, and his attempt to crush the light. She fanned herself, seemingly unbothered by the snowfall. A brow is quirked upwards as metal pods fell from the sky though. An interesting turn of events, perhaps she should hold off on acting a bit longer. Perhaps she should continue to watch them for a bit longer before openly assisting Azrail - it didn't exactly seem like he needed the help either at the moment. Why hurry? She remained in place atop a simple building so she could watch without being harassed by people.

"Come back and face me, you coward!"
Yelled the God of Light as he saw his enemy begin to leave but not before those undead soldiers with him began to march towards them. Phalis was ready to lift up his weapon and motion for his soldiers and Black Knights to charge into the abyss of the undead but then came the steel rain halting action on their part, yet again. Phalis' eyes would settle on the hologram of Constantine Harker and listened to the man speak before saying his piece.
"You have made a powerful ally here today. Keep them outside the walls and we will handle the chaos inside."
Phalis and his forces returned to the city to find the undead that has risen, his men raising their weapons and engaging them while he generated another lightning bolt and threw it towards one of the undead which would obliterate it on impact.

Azrail disappeared into the darkness at the back of the horde, the message was sent and his job was done. The advancing army was plentiful they weren't going to break formation because of a silly lone wolf who had the worst tactics in modern warfare mostly because a single person wouldn't be able to stop an entire army. However, the arrival of the Helldivers surely was doing the job their formation and armor piercing rounds was easily breaking down the front lines. The army continued to advance even still.
The remaining gargoyles dispersed back down the mountain side, they had released all pay loads into the city and enough people had died or been infected raising the dead to continue the cycle. The God of Lights own troops were raising from the dead and assaulting their brothers and sisters in all out war.
