"Aye aye Captain lightning cock," the hologram of Harker turned to the commander, "You know the drill Captain. The Helldivers will clean up the mess in front make sure the Guardian troops are on standby to aid in the city mop up. God Speed"

The Helldivers were reloading in cycles making sure that every one on their left hand side was firing while they reloaded and when they reloaded the person on their right was firing. This cycle kept a steady stream of bullets aimed down range. The Helldiver commander broke from formation and let his gun rest at his side, he pulled a shield from his back and a sword from his side, "Move up!"

He began cutting down the corpse walkers that got too close several other Helldivers lowered their automatic weapons and brought out their melee weapons. The Guardians were setting up mortar positions behind the line soon all hell would be raining on the army in front of them.

Phalis ordered his still living men back clearing an opening for him to hurl another lightning bolt at the recently risen undead with enough deadly force to obliterate them on impact while the knights stayed prepare to cut down any undead that just happened to survive such an onslaught from the god.

Sensing the undead in the surrounding area the Death Witch tapped into her own powerful necromancy, something she had practiced to perfect for over ten thousand years to make her the bane of all things undead. Attempting to take control of the people who had become zombies to make them idle and easy targets for the knights and soldiers to wipe out.

Without Azrail present anymore his army fully pressed forward many getting mowed down. This attack had done enough damage the outbreak within the city walls would be contained but many others would die through the day who were weak or injured causing the outbreak to continuously run its course until every last sick person was dealt with. This experiment would drag into the next attack.

The Helldivers continued to mop up the undead. Given enough time they would mow down the whole lot of them before they got very close. With the organization of rotating out people during reloads a steady steam was fired into the crowd shattering entire groups with the AP rounds. The entire right hand side of the Helldivers lowered their assault rifles and pulled free their melee weapons and ran into the fray.

Guardian forces moved into the city in teams of four behind the god and his witch. They began walking the streets pegging any deadder with swift shots to the head and body. There were several task forces which quarantined those still living but who could die at any moment. The Guardian forces and Helldivers didn't have to worry about the infection as their suits were hermetically sealed and nothing could get into it without first being filtered.

Lord Phalis entered the coliseum where the crowd of people who tried to get out had already dropped dead and were reanimated into zombies, mindless beings with no other purpose than to eat and kill. The God of Light led the charge into the coliseum and began cutting his way through them one by one, his men covering his rear and sides as he made his way through. His anger slowly beginning to show itself at the damage Azrail had inflicted on his homeland.

The Death Witch held up her hands and took control of the zombies that went after the soldiers on the side and rear of Lord Phalis, slowing them down just enough to make them easy prey for the soldiers. She didn't bother to assist Lord Phalis now as the god could take care of himself and was immune to infection. She was more worried about their men.
