Across the Ocean

[Yuna]

Yuna swung her staff towards MJ's foot just enough to force the girl backwards before turning back to Ayen. Absorbing his electricity into her own charged thunder spell that generated at the edge of her staff and then dispersing it. Her eyes narrowed over both individuals as she spoke.

"No more fighting!"

[Hotaru]

The commotion on the upper deck was enough to shake Hotaru out of her sleep and return to see what was happening. Of course Ayen was in the middle of it all fighting with some strange woman that apparently had approached them. Seeing that Yuna was already between them holding them back, the Soldier of Silence decided to assist by taking the handle of her Glaive and pushing it against the chest of MJ to force her further away from the others. Cold violet eyes staring into hers as her lips parted to utter a single word.

"Enough."

[MJ]

MJ stepped away before the staff could hit her foot. Seeing that Yuna meant business and wasn't going to put up with any defiance on her part. Before the blonde could do anything else however another woman stepped in with a strange polearm and forced her back. Glaring into her eyes and speaking with an authority that was more than enough to make MJ shudder. And the noir-haired female didn't even have to raise their voice to get that reaction out of her. MJ nostrils flared at their scent and she felt herself becoming attracted to this person as well as she looked her over. Leaning in towards her to take another whiff of her scent and to see how she'd react to her personal space being invaded.

[Ayen]

"No more fighting!"

“All right! No fighting.”

"Enough."

Great. The ruckus was even enough to get Saturn back on the upper deck. Though he couldn't complain much after seeing what effect she had on MJ. Before he could say anything more to Yuna the ship's captain came up to the four.

“What the hell is going on here!?”

“Nothing. Nothing at all.”

Ayen tapped into his telepathy and took control of the captain enough to make him forget about this whole ordeal and go back to his duties. Sparing them the chore of having to explain and potentially be kick off the vessel.

“Nothing...”

[Yuna]

“Hotaru! Thank you.”

Yuna was glad to see the woman was back to help her out but saddened that their fight had woken her. The High Summoner felt even worse when the ship's captain came over to investigate the disturbance. Ayen would speak up before Yuna could and she would only watch as Ayen did something to the captain's mind to get him off their case. After the captain left, and with MJ being occupied by Hotaru, Yuna confronted Ayen about it.

“What did you do?”

[Hotaru]

As MJ leaned forward Hotaru would forced her back again by the tips of her blade. Warning her through harsh violet eyes to keep her distance if she didn't want to be hurt. Looking out the corners of her eyes the Soldier of Silence saw the ship's captain. Hearing the brief conversation between himself and Ayen before leaving and Yuna quickly questioning the blonde of what happened. Hotaru already had a rough idea of what he did.

"Some kind of mind trick."

[MJ]

MJ's eyes stared at the tips that shined brightly before her. Backing away and holding up her arms to shield her eyes from the reflection of the suns up above being cast off the blade. A simple attempt to sniff has been met with the threat of hostile action and the woman got a sense that she would deliver on that threat. A silent moan, like that of a puppy, exit MJ's lips as she crouched down in front of Hotaru and looked up at her. Showing no further signs of hostility on her part.

[Alex]

"Nothing harmful I just made him forget."

Ayen thought for a moment on how to describe what he did as he still wasn't used to explaining it to people. Isolation and all that nice stuff would do that to a person.

"Know how you walk into a room and then stand there trying to remember why you entered in the first place? I did that. By the time it comes back to him we'll be long gone."

[Yuna]

"You do that often?"

Asked the High Summoner, waiting for Ayen's reply before turning over to MJ who was now crouched on the floor by Saturn's side. Yuna was impressed.

"What's your name?"

[Hotaru]

To think somebody could have that kind of power, to make you forget with a simple thought. What more could the blonde male do in addition to reading the minds of others? Hotaru would have to question him on it later and be careful to make sure he didn't try to make her forget about it. When Yuna asked MJ her question, the Soldier of Silence set her violet orbs back on the stranger and gave her a harsh gaze that demanded her obedience.

"Answer her."

[MJ]

MJ looked deeply into the eyes of Hotaru captivated by them and the dominance she displayed before turning to face Yuna. The smell of innocence still being enough to attract the werewolf to her but right now MJ was much more interested in Hotaru and would do as she said.

"MJ."

[Alex]

"Not often. You forget I was in isolation before tagging along with you."

Everyone's attention then turned to the new girl and so Ayen opt to do the same. Hearing the name that was given and simply folded his arms as he looked down at the girl.

"That's it? Initials? Your parents didn't give you a full name?"

[Yuna]

Yuna said nothing to Ayen she merely gave him a glance that told him to "back off" before turning her attention back to MJ.

"Are you here by yourself, MJ?"

[Hotaru]

Hotaru caught the way the woman looked at her and made sure to show complete uninterest in her. The last thing the Soldier of Silence needed on her mission was a lost little puppy following her around. Ayen was more than enough to fulfill the role of canine.

[MJ]

MJ growled at Ayen wishing she could rip his jaw wide open but she knew better than that. She was in no position to attack any of them and MJ didn't want to attack them with Hotaru present.

"Yes."

Was all she said as it was all Yuna asked. MJ may have respected Hotaru but that didn't mean she was going to reveal everything about herself easily. What was life without a little mystery?
