Kara returned to Jherrazad, and in one of the empty rooms of the castle, trashed it in her frustration before sitting down on the edge of the bed. It was her first major crisis as a god and already she's had enough. Moon Valley was taken, help was unavailable and the Netherrealm would be marching to Jherrazad any day now. And all she could do, with her face buried in her hands, was cry.

Tori was lured by a loud ruckus on her way back to her room that led Tori to the Goddess, stopping at the entrance of the room to see her friend crying on the edge of a bed. Something she hasn't seen in a long time.
“Kara?”
Tori entered the room and sat down next to Kara, gently bringing a hand up to her shoulder as she tried to console her.
“Kara. What's the matter, sweetie? What's wrong”

Kara wrapped her arms around Tori and hugged her after she sat down next to her, careful not to crush her as she did so. "I-I just don't think I can do this. It's too much. I was unsuccessful in saving Moon Valley, the Creator won't help and-and Arix can't. I don't know what to do. I just don't know what I'm supposed to do."

“Hey. Hey, calm down. Just relax. The Creator wouldn't have chosen you if you couldn't handle it, right?”
Tori continued to console Kara, her hands running gently up and down her cheeks and then through her hair as she looked her in the eye. It was amazing how this woman could become an all powerful, all knowing god and still be the same little girl who used to cry on her shoulder as a child. It was also amazing that all that time it should have been the reversed with the super strength she always possessed. But it wasn't.
“You just need to think. I know you're used to charging in and punching things but this time you need to think things through, okay? You can do this.”

Kara grew quiet when Tori's hands caressed her cheeks, getting lost in the redhead's emerald green eyes as she tend to usually do whenever she was alone with her. How she longed to kiss her, this time as a part of the living instead of during the afterlife but she refrained. Even just thinking about that made her feel guilty. How could she think of anything else at a time like this? "No. This is way out of my league, Tori. We both know I was never the smart one."

“You don't give yourself enough credit. Who's the one who informed the mayor of a terrorist's group assassination attempt and then fended off both them and a demon? Granted, the mayor was evil and you sorta died at the end but a stupid person wouldn't have known what to do.”
Tori bit her bottom lip, her attempt to help were being poorly executed and creating a awkward atmosphere in the room as she tried desperately to think of something else to say.
“The point is, you're a lot more capable than you know. You just need to believe in yourself.”

"I don't know." Kara sat up, facing away from Tori for a moment as she placed a hand against her forehead. "I just don't know..." Kara lowered her hand and then turned back around to face her friend while asking, "What do you think I should do?"

"I don't know. I just don't know... What do you think I should do?"
“The first thing that comes to mind is to find a way to seal off the demon world permanently.”
Normally she would have concluded in saying that without further research she didn't know how to proceed but Kara was a god, it shouldn't be that hard for her to acquire that information. Otherwise the work of fiction was way off about godhood.
“Make sure they have no way to attack in the future.”

"There is one way. By defeating the leader of the Netherrealm you become the leader and thus the demon army is yours to command. If I could defeat Ranko in one on one combat I could take over as the leader of the army and order them back into the Netherrealm, running both the underworld and Jherra. But..." Superwoman sat back down next to Tori. "If I challenge Ranko one on one they'll be no one left to close the portals."

“You can't be in two places at once?”

Kara looked down at Tori. After Tori had stated the obvious for the Woman of Steel all she could do in response was place both her hands in her face out of sheer embarrassment. "As I said before. You were always the smart one..."

"As I said before. You were always the smart one..."
“You're new at this. Just calm down.”
Tori put both of her hands on Kara's shoulders as she looked her over. Getting a sense that there was possibly more bothering the blond as the second battle against the Netherrealm drew nearer.
“Is there something else bothering you?”

Superwoman was quiet at first. Remembering how she had struck Utena across the face and caused her to crash to the ground prior to her meeting with the Ajerian. She remembered how scared and heart broken Utena looked after the fact. It ate her up inside that she could lose control so easily just because someone disagreed with her so strongly. It scared her that in a single instant she could become the monster she fought so hard against for Jherra's sake. The Woman of Steel was barely able to talk louder than a whisper when answering Tori's question. "I struck Utena."

"I struck Utena."
Tori looked at Kara surprised as those were the last words the redhead expected to hear part the Woman of Steel's lips. It wasn't like the blond to strike down anybody without plausible cause which instantly made Tori wonder if something happened and if Utena had gone crazy again. If so this couldn't have come at a worst possible time.
“What happened? Did Utena lose control again?”

Kara shook her head. "This time I was the one who lost control." It was painful to admit but Tori was always the one she felt she could talk to when things were going out of control and Kara wouldn't let that change now that she was a goddess. "We were arguing and I just got so angry. I struck her before I could even stop myself."
