Speedy Recovery (Closed)

Fukari woke up in the hospital ward of the castle, the sound of footsteps going back and forth the room came into her ears as she picked up the scent of several people male and female who were all human. The Blind Assassin was in the final bed at the end of the room across from the entrance with her arms, legs and torso area covered in bandages on top of the bandages that were always wrapped around her eyes. This was the first time the Half Devil had step foot in the black castle of Jherrazad and if all went according to plan it would be her last.

"Nurse! Nurse!"

Fukari heard the footsteps of someone approaching, her nose picking up on the scent of a woman but it was not the nurse...

[Chloe/Kat]

It was the woman that bested her in battle. The woman that took pity on her and showed her mercy where the Blind Assassin had none. Nosferatu, devil -- wielder of the Waking Nightmare and Kasul -- The Empress of Jherrazad; Empress Chloe. "I hope you're not thinking of assassinating me and escaping. Take my word for it, it won't work."

[Alex]

"I hope you're not thinking of assassinating me and escaping. Take my word for it, it won't work."

"You should have killed me."

There was no sign of a 'tone of voice' in the Blind Assassin's words. Simply stating a fact as her hearing and sense of smell analyzed her surroundings and several scenarios in which she would flee from this place played in her mind as she turned her head to look in the vampiress' known position.

"The frustrating thing about omniscience; seeing it coming a mile away and still being unable to do anything about it."

[Chloe/Kat]

"You know nothing of omniscience." Though Chloe would never admit it there were truth to the Blind Assassin's words. She could see the Third Aspect, The End, Eos, coming for them all. And after all of the fighting, all of the sacrifices, there were still nothing she could do. It was indeed frustrating but that was only one of many things that drove her to the brink of insanity. "Tell me how you managed to resist the effects of the Waking Nightmare."

[Alex]

"I didn't."

If Chloe omniscience didn't allow her to see how she managed it then the Blind Assassin wasn't going to say anything more than that. With her strength fully returned to her she used a burst of her demonic speed to tear her pillow to shreds, the insides temporarily blinding Chloe as Fukari jumped through the window of the Hospital Ward and out to the castle hallway fleeing from the guards as she began searching for her weapons and equipment.

[Chloe/Kat]

Chloe didn't even flinch at the feathers in her face or the sound of broken glass as Fukari made her escape. "Foolish girl." Seconds later Chloe, the doctors and the nurses would hear a small explosion from the castle halls. The Blind Assassin had ran right into one of her own claymore mines that the Empress had planted before entering the Hospital Ward right where she knew Fukari would be. "I warned her."

[Alex]

So that what it felt like to run into one of those.

The Blind Assassin hit the ground soon after the blast, already guards were surrounding her position to claim her but the half devil wouldn't be kept grounded for long. She spun around on the ground, tripping the soldiers that gathered around her and then returning to her feet, continuing on her run down the halls while this time being careful with her foot work to prevent running into anymore mines before jumping out a window.

[Chloe/Kat]

Chloe didn't bother to follow her. She turned around and left the infirmary as the guards returned to their feet to follow to the window Fukari had jumped out of. "Worthless." Meanwhile as the Blind Assassin fell from the window she would be caught by the 6'8 Black Knight Kaso who grabbed her in midair and slammed her into the ground. "You should have stayed in bed."

Fukari's back smashed into the ground and she grunted through clenched teeth. Rolling onto her front and getting up to her knees as she looked up to the Black Knight that towered over her. Kaso was enough of a pain to deal with with her weapon and equipment, but here she was bare handed and it was too soon since her last transformation into a demon to do it again. Looked like she'd have to improvise.

"Can't sleep. Insomnia."

[Chloe/Kat]

Kaso sheath his blade and held it up in front of his face, his smile unseen by the helmet covering his head and the only hint of such a smile being from the small spark in his burning red eyes as she took a step forward towards the Blind Assassin who has been a thorn in Jherrazad's side for some time now. "We can fix that."

[Alex]

The Blind Assassins started to slowly back away as she tracked Kaso's movement, the guards holding their position and allowing the Black Knight to handle this one himself as he was more than capable. Fukari heard the cheers from the surrounding audience and then looked up at Kaso, still offering no attack of her own.

"You wouldn't hit a lady, would you?"

[Chloe/Kat]

"There are no ladies on the battlefield." The Black Knight came forward, his weapon raised and eyes locked onto his target as it came crashing down with such force that an explosion would erupt the second his weapon made contact with something.

[Alex]

The Blind Assassin leaped back and allowed the explosion to erupt with Kaso at the center of it.

"You shouldn't be so reckless."

[Chloe/Kat]

The smoke and dust settled in and the Black Knight stood at the center of the crater created by his strength unharmed. Looking up, Kaso lunged out of the crater and came crashing down against the Blind Assassin again, this time with more speed behind his attack.

[Alex]

The Blind Assassin leaped to the side, rolling once when she hit the ground and climbing back up to her feet in order to evade the second attack by the Black Knight. Although one could only evade for so long, she had to find a weapon of some kind to defend herself with until she could get out of here. Looking in Kaso's direction she waited for the knight to make his next move.
