Ever since his drop, things were weird for him. First he was in a harsh winter climate, then the next... he was in mild climate. Don't get him wrong, he enjoyed the change in weather. It was just.... well... wierd.
Soon he approached the city that lied in front of him. It was big and resembled home... oh how he missed home. The buildings were huge and people were everywhere... just as a city should be. He smiled through his visor and stuck to the shadows. He came across a thing that set him on auto pilot. The non human was armed... with a weapon that the Rookie did not recognize. Out of fear he lifted his weapon and fired, dropping the Covenant member. He examined the body soon after and saw that it was not covenant, but a regular citizen. Guilt filled him to his bones, but the instinct to survive overshadowed it as a patrol man approach and urged him to show himself.
The Rookie ran... and fast. He did not know if the man was behind him, so he kept running. Eventually he knew he had outran the law enforcement, and stopped to take his breath. A nav point beeped on his visor and demanded attention as he did so. The rookie was curious on how this had happened and decided to follow it. The nav point led him to a city park... or that's what it looked like. It seemed empty.... but the Rookie knew he wasn't alone.

((My apologies. Didn't mean to keep you waiting a whole week.))
Aminee didn't know how she got into the job of recruiting people but that was just the way things worked out. She sat at the park bench repeatedly looking at her watch impatiently as she waited for the person that was contact to arrive. When she saw the man in the armor and helmet that didn't match Vulture or any other known affiliation in this city she took the hint that that was their man and sat up from the bench.
Thoughts on how to approach him was the farthest thing from her mind. She simply decided to go with the direct approach. What could go wrong? Aminee has already cheated death to such an extent that the very notion barely registered with her anymore. If he was the sort to kill her then he was the sort to kill her and she didn't have to worry about anything anymore. If he wasn't then there was a chance of the resistance gaining a useful ally. Not much to lose either way, in her opinion.
"Good evening. I'm Aminee Starlight. Source of the nav point, in case you were wondering."

At first he raised his weapon toward the person, but then lowered it when she introduced himself. She did sound pretty sincere and trustworthy... but why would she want him here? Chances are... she probably knew more about him than he about her. He decided to stay quiet as normal... never talking... just staying as the lone mute he was. He simply nodded his head in understanding, but then cocked his head sideways... as if he wanted to know more, which he did.

"We've met before at the library. I wasn't sure I could trust you then." Vulture made it difficult to trust anyone in military gear and previous experiences in prison made it hard for Aminee to trust any man period. That why she wasn't alone, not really. There were others nearby that remained in hiding should this man try anything. "I'll cut to the chase. The ruler of this place, General Koma Iz Vulture, is a madman who strips his people of basic human rights every chance he gets and wants to conquer all of existence through a tower called the Downward Spiral. A movement is being built as we speak to put a stop to it. I was sent to see if you would join our cause."

Wedge chuckled, sipping his blue milk as he watched the pair converse. He was no expert on how to hide a secret organization from possible spies, but he knew open recruitment was by no means. They must either be that desperate, or that confident in their own abilities. Something that tells me they will probably need my aid. I'm all for helping Rebels like I used to, as long as their cause is the right one. Wedge put down his beverage, tossing the food stand a credit chit before turning and walking towards the pair.

Interesting.... a noble cause.... Rookie liked the sound of that. He nodded his approval. After all... ODSTs were mean and very... very green. Green was good. Green was golden. Men in green got the job done no questions asked. The rookie turned when he saw another approaching... who had the walk of one who sat down an awful lot.... a walk of a pilot.
He looked like he should be a Longsword Pilot but then again... looked like those pilots from World War II. He paid him no more attention and turned it back to the woman and nodded again.

That was surprisingly easy. Amazing in fact. He didn't even ask all of the usual questions one would expect to be asked while recruiting. This was going to be the shortest recruiting mission ever until Aminee turned around to see an orange and white pilot approaching them. The Pop Idol's right hand slowly and subtly moved down her body and to her back pocket where her concealed carry was as she addressed the pilot, "Hold it right there! Who are you?"

Wedge raised his hands, open and palms outward. I've got no weapons on hand, only my blaster at my side. Neither am I here with hostile intent. I heard you've got some cool secret society that is for people who are... He paused, brain musing for a word to take the gap he left. He did not want to attract any law enforcement, knowing what they have done back in his galaxy. Wedge's dark brown hair rustled in the breeze as he gazed around for any officials, before whispering quietly, moving a tad closer so they did not have to strain to hear him. ...interested in a Rebel Alliance?
Wedge knew that he was not going to be simply admitted. If it were that easy, the government would have torn them apart from the inside, without a second glance. He assured himself that what he was doing was right, and worth the effort he was willing to put into it. I've got nothing to lose, and possibly a world to save. I'm all for it.

Blaster? Was that what all the cool kids were calling it now? Aminee eased up a bit and slowly let her guard down as she moved her hand away from her concealed weapon, which by Isafaro law neither of them were supposed to have on them to begin with. "What gave you that crazy idea?" Aminee decided to play dumb for now and hope the Rookie would follow her lead. She had to make sure this was someone trustworthy and learning where they found out about them would be a good start.

A chuckle rippled out of Wedge's throat. You did not hide your discussion amazingly, and seeing as how I've got talents you probably could use, given the lack of serious space and aircraft in the area, I feel as though my skills could prove quite useful to your cause. My name is Wedge Antilles, Commander of Rogue Squadron, part of the New Republic back where I am from. I've got my fighter back towards the Spiral, and I can easily summon it here, if you wish to see. I've got nothing to hide, and I've got no ties that matter. I wish for this to be my first actual affiliation, one where I can acutally help people who need to be saved from oppression and evil. He glanced around again for any officials that could come snooping about. I'm not going to slip this secret out to people, even though I'm sure you don't believe me.

So much for playing dumb. Aminee examined Wedge closely, looking for any signs through body language to indicate he was lying but nothing. He was either the world's greatest liar or telling the truth. Either way the Pop Idol needed to contact her C. O to know how to proceed. "Give me a sec." Aminee walked away from earshot of the two, keeping her eyes peeled while clicking on a small device in her ear used as a means to contact the rest of the resistance. Some kind of futuristic radio was the best she could do to describe it. She spoke barely above a whisper so this time there could be no eavesdropping.
"I stumbled upon a third wheel. A pilot by the name of Wedge Antilles claims to be a part of something called the New Republic. Ring any bells? ... Well that could mean two things ... So what do you want me to do? ... All right, be there shortly." Aminee clicked the small device in her ear again to end the conversation before walking back to the other two. "You know that old abandoned warehouse on the other side of town? We'll to split up and rondevu there. It's too dangerous to travel in a group."

Wedge grimaced. He honestly wasnt exactly well versed in the lay of the land, neither did he want to lose his opportunity to join the recuiting Rebellion. A thought flickered through his mind, and Wedge's eyebrows furrowed in confusion. Do you have an objective to moving there over being here? Or is this a simple means of seeing if I am actually interested? This place seems safe enough to speak of these things for a time. Perhaps he should have his astromech, Mynock, simply locate the destination and fly him there. That would attract attention to us. Not something I'd want to deal with when trying to join a Rebellion.

"Yes," replied Aminee. "It's where the others are right now and where the two of you can become better familiar with the people of the resistance. There's only so much I can tell you here." Aminee pulled out two digital maps and handed them to the Rookie and Wedge in case they got lost before turning around and heading out of the park and towards their new designation.

Wedge took the map and stared at it confusedly, the symbols on which not making sense to him. The map seems easy enough to read, as long as I don't read anything. Why can't I just deal with Aurabesh? He guessed that the location would be easy to get to if he decided to walk now, and not stop by his X-wing to check on Mynock's diagnostics and repairs. I shall head there immediately. Should we go separate ways to get there? This armor-clad individual isn't going to be the stealthiest of people, I'd presume.

A hint of concern could be read on Aminee's face then as she remembered that the Rookie was on the run from Vulture's men before they approached him. And while the men who lost sense the trail hasn't come out of the woodwork yet how much longer would that last once they split up? "Think you'll be okay on your own?" Aminee asked the Rookie.
