Wedge nodded to 201 while he shook her hand. Commander Wedge Antilles of the New Republic Navy, reporting for duty. I was part of a squadron in my old home, known as Rogue Squadron. We flew across the galaxy, did suicide missions, and always came out alive. Ok, more of most of the time came out alive. Wedge's eyes flashed with pain as he remembered those he lost in the wars he had fought. Regardless, I did bring my own fighter. And it isn't a jet. It's an Incom Corporation T-65-B X-wing, fully spaceworthy, able to travel through systems in a galaxy, armed enough weapons to take out the Death Star. Twice. And it, and I, am at your disposal.

"I-I actually never thought of that. It's been such a long time since I performed. I had been wanting to get back into it." She made a promise to Utena after all. But where in the world could she find a place to perform that would already exist in a laboratory? Aminee began to ponder on such a thing until Wedge mention of Wookiee grabbed her attention back to him. "What about the Rookie?"
Finally, after searching for someone Captain 201 would come to them. Aminee extended a smile to her friend and simply allowed the two to talk business, staying there in case there was anything else she could do. The Pop Idol looked back to Wedge as he explained what his X-Wing could do, amazed at what it was she was hearing. "Space? You can travel through space?"

201 chuckled to herself slightly, remembering all the times she told Imai, “We fail the suicide mission. We all came back alive.”

“We can use that kind of aerial firepower for a suicide mission of our own... Where's your X-wing now?”

Wedge nodded to Aminee, a knowing smile spreading across his face. Space is standard for me. Hyperspace is the dangerous place. Could fly into stars, gravitational anomalies, and many other things. My X-wing is currently outside Isafaro, near the Downward Spiral's outer reaches. I could signal my astromech droid, Mynock, to fly on over here, if you'd like to take a look. Now, tell me about this suicide mission. I've handled many in my time. I'm sure this won't be much harder. Wedge took out his comlink and keyed it up. A familiar bleep from a droid on the reciever responded, to which Wedge muttered Head on over, Mynock. It's safe here, and you'll have mechanics helping out with repairs. Wedge out.

Aminee couldn't believe what she was hearing. They had nothing like that back in her own world. A rocket that could go to the moon and other equipment like probes and such that can be sent to other planets they currently couldn't reach, but space travel with actual people on board something like a rocket was very much limited to a trip to the moon as a trip to Mars would be one-way as of now. And as fun as space travel can be, Aminee couldn't imagine a one-way trip to Mars being worth it. "Wedge and I were just talking about how I could better use my talents to serve the resistance. If you'd allow it, is there anywhere I would be able to 'perform' in front of the resistance members? Sing, I mean."

“It's nothing as exciting as blowing up shit in space but it should be challenging enough. We're sneaking into Isafaro's main base found at the heart of the city, as you can imagine security is going to be extra tight and while we may manage to sneak in coming out will be another thing entirely. We could use some air support for a job like that as they'll no doubt be hitting us from all sides if we're caught, that would include from the sky too.”

“We may be able to set something up in one of the spare computer rooms. Think your old bunk mate can get a private dance?”

Wedge nodded and opened his mouth to respond, but a warning klaxon sounded from his comlink. It indicated the imminent arrival of the fighter, which entered the airspace in a quiet manner. Wedge gestured to the other two and jogged outside the compound. He pointed at the light grey with red stripes running down the fuselage and wings. It hovered momentarily before extending a trio of landing pads and touching down. The canopy popped open with a small hiss while the dome behind it swiveled and rose from its compartment. That, my rebel companions, is the T-65-B X-wing. And that astromech is Mynock. Feel free to poke around. The astromech booped in greeting.

Aminee was caught off guard by that last question of 201. Her face starting to turn red at the mere idea of dancing in front of the woman like some kind of private show. The Pop Idol struggled on what to say in response but she would be saved by a sound coming from Wedge comlink and gladly followed Wedge outside of the labs so she could evade having to respond to 201's question. Her eyes now coming on the X-wing and the astromech on top of it. "Wow..."

201 smiled at the blush on Aminee's face at her comment. Why the Pop Idol couldn't see it now that was progress. It was much better to act embarrassed towards something like that than to blank out entirely and have terrible flashbacks to the rape in the prison. At Wedge's gesture, 201 followed him out alongside Aminee and took a good long look at the ship foreign in design, a good advantage to have when taking on an army as powerful and skilled as the Crimson Vulture. Unpredictability were the resistance greatest strengths.
“Nice. How close does a target have to be in range in order for you to hit it?”

Wedge grinned proudly at Aminee. Something made him as giddy as a kid when he showed people his X-wing. It was almost his child, the fighter. He had more trust in his craft than he did his own body, and it had often saved his life because of it.
The targetting computer technically requires a mean distance of just over half a kilometer, in atmosphere, for an accurate shot to about half a meter. Verpine engineers, known to my galaxy as exceptional engineers, gave me the ability to stretch it to a full kilometer without reducing the accuracy less than it's blast radius. Lasers converge at 100 meters in front of it's nose, but Mynock can change the range if needed.

The Pop Idol walked around the X-wing while Wedge and 201 spoke. Her eyes admiring the design of it, as that was basically the only thing she could really understand as anything after that was lost on the woman. She smiled and waved to the robot found on the ship before walking back to the other two. "I'm guessing this isn't something we can just duplicate?"

“I was kinda hoping you'd be able to fire at people from space...”
"I'm guessing this isn't something we can just duplicate?"
“Not only that I'm not even sure we'd have the parts necessary to make more, or the space to put it.”

Mynock lowered itself carefully from the fuselage and rolled over to the engine cowling. It It opened it and began making minor adjustments, before rotating its head and projecting a holographic image of a blueprint for the X-wing. It hovered in the air, rotating and disecting itself into individual parts and sets, before reforming and showing a basic idea of what the X-wing was capable of. Mynock then rolled off and continued his repair job on the side of the craft.
Wedge frowned at Tori and shook his head. You'd have to go for at least a frigate or larger for that kind of devastation. And such a weapon would demolish a city if used. I'm sure what I can do should be effective enough. What am I looking at for adversaries?

Pity. They could use more of a ship like this in their fight against the Vulture. When she turned around the Pop Idol would see a blue prints of the ship brought up by Mynock making her wonder how many of these things existed. "Say, Wedge is this the only ship of its kind where you come from?"

“Unmanned high-tech aerial crafts; V/STOL capabilities, pulse-detonation engines with twin hybrid scramjet turbos fueled by catalyzed A1 methane. Equipped with 2 Throat Ripper AAMs, 2 Shock Hammer AGMs, 3 AGM-130s and 2 GAU-12 Equalizers. Additionally they have a total of three FAE missiles.
Then you have the F-69 VTOL; it fires missiles when it's in flight mode and can pop flares when locked on. It can lock onto several targets at once and fire individual missiles at them. In hover mode it can still fire those missiles but it comes with a beam weapon for precise shots.”
