Gabrielle blocked Kragen's kick with her staff only being knocked back a bit as she saw the weapon in the man's hand. She had no idea what it was or how it worked but she understood enough to know that she didn't want to get hit with it but she wouldn't have to worry about that as both Kain and Zora had her back. But Kragen wouldn't waste any time in rearming himself and threatening Zora but again before she could do anything, she found herself being restrained by a strange looking ink black tendril that bound her arms behind her back after knocking her weapons away. Gabrielle fell down to her knees, attempting to break out of the tendril but the harder she tried, the harder its grip became. Her eyes looked over to see a new arrival joined with the others. Who is that?

Time.
A single M-1 Tank crashed onto the scene, its main gun aimed towards the Jherrazad party as Drake stood on the top of the tank, his hand over his shoulder and ready to draw the long sword found on his back. The tank came to a stop in front of the group of soldiers and the tank readied its main gun to send them all to kingdom come if they tried anything as Drake stood to his full height of 6'2 and looked towards the group.
“I'll be taking my friends back now.”

Alas a savior would come and the ex-soldier would not have to lay a bullet into the child, but a darkness arose from the east with the crimson vulture insignia at its core. Once it came to a full stop Kragen already had a plan in place, dropping a grenade onto the ground but it was not a regular grenade. When it went off there was no explosion that could do damage, they would hear a pop and then aluminum strips would have their way with the radar and sensors of the tank, rendering the main gun useless for a time as Kragen drew the DSR 50, aimed it at Drake's chest, and fired.

Garrus drew his M-29 Incisor to counteract the stolen M-15 Vindicator but before things could have a chance to turn ugly tendrils of darkness rose from the ground and swiftly tied up the attacking party sparing them the challenge of taking back control of the situation themselves as the rebel turian turned to see Sparda who explained to them Isafaro was hot on their tail. Garrus Vakarian They took out our camels we'll have to- No time. The tank was heading straight this way and Isafaro wouldn't give them the chance to breathe. Garrus quickly took back his stolen weapon but kept out the M-29 Incisor as Kragen was quick to use one of those chaff grenades to take out the main gun of the tank and fire at Drake. Garrus prepared to fire towards him too in case Kragen missed all while saying to Sparda: Garrus Vakarian Get them out of here, we'll hold Isafaro off!"

"Bandits!?" Kain was on both his knees now as the tendrils held his arms to his back like a pair of handcuffs, a very strong pair of handcuffs, as his anger grew from Sparda's statement. "You're the bandits! You and all of Jherrazad! Taking the land that rightfully belong to us!" Kain spat and then saw the tank in the distance. As it got closer the man could see that Isafaro was on the way here. With no time to lose, Kain struggled to get up to one knee and then managed to pull himself up to his feet while breaking the tendrils that bound his hands to his back and running towards Gabrielle, drawing his blade and cutting through the tendrils to release her. "Get the child. This place will be crawling with Isafaro soldiers any minute. Now!"

Upon being freed by Kain's sword Gabrielle picked up her staff and got up to her feet while looking out to the in-coming tank Drake White was on. "What's that?" Gabrielle wouldn't get an answer instead she would see the urgency in Kain's eyes and knew that staying here wasn't a good idea. There'd be time for questions later. The Battling Bard of Potidaea exchanged her staff for her samurai sword and sliced through Zora's restraints before helping her up to her feet. "We can't stay here, Zora. We have to move."

Sparda was about to answer this irate thug's accusations when the steady rumble of an approaching vehicle got his attention. He turned to find himself staring down the barrel of a tank, bearing down on them fast and emblazoned with the Crimson Vulture insignia.
Stood atop the turret was the third member of Isafaro's Golden Trio.
"Wonderful." Sparda sighed to himself. They'd been found out, and getting away from this firepower quickly might be a hassle. First things first - get the prisoners away.
"I'm afraid we can't do that," called the demon in response. While Kragen and Garrus took up arms against the soldier facing them down, Sparda rushed over to the camels, over the backs of which their two unconscious prisoners had been slung. One after the other, he grabbed them by the scruffs of their necks and hauled them away from the fallen beasts.
Behind the Dark Knight, yet another portal swirled into life; this one would take him into the bowels of Isafaro, near the safehouse where he had first met the resistance. "You two through here!" he yelled at Kragen and Garrus; he had no intention of letting them take on a Vulture tank alone.
More black tendrils rose from his shadow, wrapping around the bodies of Zach and Ayanna and keeping them aloft. This freed Sparda's hands, and he quickly occupied them again by drawing Luce and Ombra and letting off a volley of shots in Drake White's direction. If he landed a couple of hits, so much the better, but his aim was merely to suppress him.
His efforts against the tank were much more subtle. A second portal opened up - within the barrel of its main gun. Hidden in the shadow of the bore, this portal's other end opened up behind the vehicle, angled downwards at the ground, so that any shell it fired in their direction would explode against the ground, a harmless distance away.

“Let me go!”
Zora shouted at the top of her lungs as the tendrils held her down against her will, her wand merely inches away from within her reach but no way for her to get to it.
“I said let me go!”
Fortunately for the witch Gabrielle would come to her aid being able to slice through the tendrils that bounded her and allowing Zora to take back her wand.
"We can't stay here, Zora. We have to move."
“You'll get no complaints from me.”
"I'm afraid we can't do that."
“Wasn't asking, pal.”
The soldiers inside the tank would notice the radar was offline and that they couldn't fire from their tank anymore as soon as the chaff grenade from Kragen went off. Drake jumped up and forward through the air evading the sniper shot by the ex-soldier, his blade drawn and repelling the bullets from Garrus' weapon as he landed on the ground in front of them. The chaff grenade effects wouldn't last forever as the radar and main gun came back online as soon as it ran its course, just in time to shoot out a laser towards the first portal that opened under Sparda command causing it to collapse in on itself.
Drake sped across the ground appearing as a blue blur to the untrained eye, his weapon repelling the shots fired from Luce and Ombra and while the soldiers inside the tank was unaware of their latest handicap Drake sliced right through the tendrils holding his friends up, causing them to fall. Unable to carry them both Drake grabbed Ayanna and held her over his shoulder, now holding his weapon with only one hand, as he kept moving, knowing that what Zach would've wanted as he exchanged the sword for his .50 Caliber Desert Eagle and began open firing towards Sparda.

Failure. Kragen kept the DSR 50 in his hand waiting for an opening on Drake to where he can fire. The tank was quick to close the portal that Sparda had opened. "Negative." Keeping his scope on Drake the ex-soldier would find that opportunity to take his shot, firing right into his mid-back with the 50 caliber sniper rifle while he grabbed Ayanna.

Garrus Vakarian Cover me! Garrus ran towards the fallen Zach, his weapon at the ready for any resistance he may meet by Drake, or the others in case they decided to get involved in this fight as well. Avoiding the path of bullets being fired, the archangel reached Zach's position and put his gun away in order to pick him up and carry him away. If they couldn't get away with both they could at least claim one, and one was better than none.

Sparda was quick to duck away from the laser fired by the tank before he opened the small portal within its barrel - but his getaway was somehow forced to collapse and close behind him, just as Drake dashed in with decidedly superhuman speed and cut his friends free. Just what kind of technology did the Crimson Vulture possess?!
Alright, the gloves are off now. Narrowing his eyes, the Dark Knight stood ready, interposing himself between the tank and the retreating Garrus, who had grabbed Zach and started making a run for it. Sparda raised Luce and Ombra and returned fire on Drake, placing his shots with such perfect precision as to pluck the soldier's own bullets out of the air, and with twice the number of guns, he was able to put a few more through the crossfire towards Isafaro's Golden Boy at the same time.
The tank, in the meantime, was a problem that was about to solve itself. Sparda had seen what these beasts were capable of, and instead of attacking it directly, chose to assail the crew by surprise. His familiars got to work; projected into the monstrous machine, they rose from the dark spaces in the interior cabins, one for each crew member, and ambushed them from within, their claws rending armour and flesh alike and eviscerating the hapless soldiers within the supposed safety of their vehicle.

The sound of a horse could be heard fast approaching the scene as Sir Alexander, General of the East Division came riding towards the group with an army of soldiers directly behind him. One of the soldiers would jump off their horse near Garrus and offer it to him as Alexander jumped off of his and raised up his great sword now heading towards Drake and bringing the solid steel blade down towards him while his men helped Garrus get out of here with Zach in hand.

Both Jherrazad and Isafaro's soldiers now stood on the battlefield near the front of the vacant camp, good. Perhaps the two forces would wipe each other out and Kain could return to collect the remains. For now he gave a final glance to the men under his command who lives were lost here today and bid them a silent prayer so they may find peace in the afterlife. His gaze now set upon Gabrielle and Zora as he spoke, "Let's go." Leading them away from the battle and back to Kari's refugee camp. Kain, Gabrielle and Zora have left the area.

Drake cried out in pain as the .50 caliber sniper bullet blasted through his back and came out the front. He fell face first into the ground, atop Ayanna, and felt the blood quickly leaving the bullet wound. The only upside, if there was such a thing in a scenario like this, was the fact being on the ground spared him the bullets by Sparda which came at him mere seconds later. Garrus was getting away with Zach and there were nothing he could do about it. To make matters worse the soldiers in the tank became easy pickings for the familiars inside, their screams of agony reaching Drake's ears before the sound of blood splashing over the inside of the tank could be heard. It appeared like this was the end of the road.
Or was it?
The other remaining tanks burst onto the scene, Goliath leading them into battle, firing everything from tank rounds, missiles, lasers and even leaving behind gunners from their backs that provided more cover-fire, right onto the enemy. Mainly Kragen, Sparda and the reinforcement that came to take Garrus away with one of their own. Meanwhile Ayanna was coming to and felt the weight of Drake on top of her. Pushing him off, she would see the fresh blood on her hands and begin to panic as she realized Drake was bleeding.
“Drake! Drake!”
Seconds later, Ayanna would see Alexander coming at them with a sword and quickly took Drake's Desert Eagle firing straight for his head at close range.

Target down. Kragen turned his head to see more tanks coming this way and quickly tossed another chaff grenade stopping the assaults with their weapons dead and giving Garrus more time to escape.
