Z-Rah repelled the bullets with his dual blades and then appeared in point blank position in front of Drake, a bright green light shinning from the demon-ghost a second time, this time to blind him for a moment as more toxins released to cloud his other senses and while doing so Z-Rah rained down a series of strong, quick and furious slashes with the dual blades towards fatal organs in Drake's body.
"Fall back! Save your strength!" Ordered Kaso as he felt a power he had not felt since She arrived at Jherrazad. The Black Knight led his men away from the tendrils and allowed what he knew to be familiars to handle the tanks and enemies in the air before advancing further on the enemy. If there were anymore to come.
Alexander nodded towards Garrus question as his guards returned through the tunnel. "My place is here. The Empire of Jherrazad cannot be allowed to fall under any circumstances. I wish you both good luck. We lose them we lose our only footing to General Vulture. May the gods watch over and protect you." Alexander said his farewells and returned through the tunnels, closing the secret passage behind him.

The light, toxins, dual blades, they all had to come from somewhere. All of them couldn't have just been materialized by the demon. With his shirt clenched and held up to his mouth protecting himself from the toxins as best he can, and with nothing to lose, Drake followed the bright light that came to blind him and open fired with the Desert Eagle towards the source of the light while Z-Rah was point blank in his range before the dual blades came crashing down.
Through evasive maneuvers the fighter's jets barely manage avoid the imp-like demons and caused the statue demon guards to run into them instead as they pulled away from the new target and fired off their missiles towards the beast while maintaining distance away from them. Meanwhile the tanks being surrounded by tendrils would do the unthinkable. They teleported just in time to avoid their grasp and certain death as they appeared back in the center of the city where Drake and Z-Rah were. The Goliath appearing by Drake's side and he quickly grabbed onto it before the dual blades could claim his flesh. The other tanks already firing remote control missiles towards the tendrils back at the front of the castle.

Garrus nodded and then climbed up on the camel where Zach was waiting. Watching Alexander and the others leave and close the secret passage behind them the rebel turian looked back to the ex-soldier Kragen. Garrus Vakarian Looks like it's just you and me again, friend. Let's ride! With a light smack, the rebel turian's camel started up and Garrus led his friend and comrade into their next venture. The Jherrazad Desert. ((Kragan and Garrus has left the area))

"YOU FOOL!" The ray of light led to a green crystal orb that changed constantly from being visible to concealed by the center of Z-Rah's chest. When the bullets penetrated the surface of the orb more rays of light slipped through the cracks and Z-Rah's imagery faded away and all that remained was the green crystal orb but that too would soon changed. As the cracks grew larger the whole thing finally shattered and upon its destruction were thousands upon thousands upon thousands of souls unable to move on to the other side and with body of their own. There were so many that they soon formed a large tornado that reached out all the way to the heavens and the power around them threatened to pull all who were by them into them as they moved on a path of destruction.
Purgatory has been unleashed.

Drake White watched the destruction of Z-Rah unfold before his very eyes atop the Goliath tank and stared in awe at the vast seemingly endless army of souls that fled out of the shattered crystal orb and stretched out to the heavens as if they were released from the legendary Kasul blade itself and now they threatened not only their mission, but their health and this entire desert.
“Shit! Fall back! Fall back!”
The Goliath moved back quickly and the other remaining tanks were fast to follow its lead as they got back as far away as they could from the tornado of souls that threatened to pull them towards it, now standing at the entrance of the desert empire and watching the scene unfold while the two fighter's jet up in the sky also pulled back. Drake's eyes were still in awe at it all. His concern for his friends growing rapidly as the souls were now on a collision course for the castle itself. But what could they do?

Chloe watched the Isafaro men retreat upon the sight of the tornado of souls that now came for her castle. Kaso and his squad of knights did the same as the vampiress drew Kasul and lunged out of the window of the tower, Kasul lighting up and beginning to absorb the souls that came in her presence while using her vampire abilities to stick to the ground to keep herself from being sucked in but even with Kasul's power it would take ages to absorb every soul that stood before them. And Chloe didn't have ages. Thinking quickly she mentally spoke out to the Legendary Dark Knight, Sparda! Please tell me you can open a portal into space or something to get rid of this thing! If not Chloe may very well make history as the shortest reigning empress in all the land.

Drake attention was pulled away from the tornado of souls as he was contacted through the small receiver in his ear and pressed his finger against it to accept the call.
“What is it? On the ground? All right keep circling the air I'm on my way.”
Drake ended the call and then knocked on the top of the Goliath cockpit soldiers' attention inside.
“Our birds in the air just found them on the ground outside. It's time to bail!”
The soldiers in the Goliath spread the news to the other tanks and the Isafaro unit soon turned around and left the Empire of Jherrazad to deal with the awakened souls on their own.

"All over it."
As if anticipating the necessity of his direct involvement, Sparda had already made his way outside, drawn by the seething maelstrom of souls that had been unleashed mere moments ago. Chloe would find the Dark Knight stood right next to her, looking almost impressed at the spectacle before him, before he set to work bringing an end to the threat.
First came his own personal attempt to siphon some of its immense power for himself. Around the base of the great tornado rose another vortex of power, spinning in the opposite direction. This black miasma rose steadily upwards, enveloping the storm of souls from the bottom up - and snatching them away from it one by one. This tornado of Sparda's creation was comprised of his countless familiars, all ripping souls from the vortex and consuming them to bolster their own numbers, and each one that was taken soon joined its new brethren in the task.
For almost a minute this continued, seeming to slow the colossal tornado but not stopping its advance. It was simply too large. Taking a deep breath, Sparda stepped forward and raised his hands...
Above the twisting nexus of energy, an enormous disc of opaque black smoke whirled into life. For a few moments, the innumerable souls simply flew through it unopposed; but when it was complete and the portal of the Dark Knight's making opened, they began disappearing through it by the tens of thousands. Soon, the entire tornado of freed souls had exhausted itself, hurled through this portal into oblivion by its own immense power.
Sparda lowered his hands, and silence descended over the nation of Jherrazad as his portal dissipated, broken only by the faint rumble of the retreating Isafaro tanks...
"Wait a minute," Sparda spoke up. "Those Isafaro vehicles aren't going back the way they came. In fact, they're heading over the desert, as if they had new..."
It struck him at that moment. That was the direction led to by the tunnel Alexander had taken Kragen and Garrus through. They must have been found.
"They've located the moving prisoners," Sparda snarled. "I need to reach them before Vulture does." The demon turned quickly, opening a new portal before him; this one was bound to take him to Kragen and Garrus' location.
"Inform Alexander," he addressed Chloe, turning to face her for a moment. "He knows where the prisoners are bound, so if a decision is made to reinforce us, that's most likely where we'll be."
With no more time to waste, the Dark Knight turned and disappeared through the portal. Kragen and Garrus needed to be warned before the Crimson Vulture descended on them.
