The ground along the desert sands of Jherrazad began to tremble, the people in town would see something fast approaching them in the distance. It was dark at first, like a shadow coming to life and soon it was engulfed by a burst of light that came forth from the shadowy figure, more than powerful enough to destroy the statue guards in the city and continue on through to the gates of the castle.
The people would see a monster tank approaching them, shaded black escorted by four M1 Tanks in perfect alignment, two on each side of the larger one, and when the people saw the crimson Vulture insignia their eyes widened in fear and they screamed at the top of their lungs, panicking and moving as fast as they can to get away from the Isafaro invasion that has knocked down their front door.
---------------------------------------
Meanwhile back in the castle, tears began to drip down Ayanna's cheeks as Zach struggled to be freed from the very wall itself, hurling curses at Garrus.
“Fuck you!”
Just when Ayanna was about to break, the sounds of tank fire could be heard coming from outside the castle as Zach began to snicker.
“You hear that, Ayanna? He's come for us after all. I'm afraid the interrogation is over.”

Empress Chloe looked out from the castle's tower and saw the Isafaro tanks that entered the city and began firing on her people. It was even worse than their provided information had described it but they were ready. Z-Rah appeared in the front lines with a reinforcement of statue warriors flying through the air, staying above tanks main guns as Z-Rah took advantage of his incorporeal form to evade the shots fired by the tanks and entered through the monster tank, grabbing the soldier in control of it and proceeding to suck his soul out.
Alexander ran back into the dungeons where the interrogation was still going on with a look of urgency on his face. "We're being attacked; five Isafaro tanks are firing on the castle now. We need to move these two somewhere else ASAP."

"So, the rescue mission's arrived."
Sparda allowed himself another smile. It was very likely that a close colleague of the prisoners was leading this Crimson Vulture charge upon the home of the legendary Kasul's master; if so, and if he and his allies played their response smart, they may well be able to snag another captive.
He turned to face Alexander. Around the five, the walls trembled under the barrage of the mighty tanks. "Sounds like they're about to breach at this rate... General, take Kragen and Garrus with you and secure the prisoners, if you please. I'll roll out the red carpet for these invaders."
In the background, the Nightmare set about silencing the ever-defiant Zach - by having Ayanna disintegrate before him. He would see her skin begin to peel away as she sobbed in fear, pulling itself from her body as if being flayed off by some unseen force. The ragged strips of skin seemed to fall apart as they fell, reduced to a dull grey ash that slowly piled around the dissembling woman's feet.
Then her bared flesh began to follow suit... and only Zach bore witness.

Kragen could feel the room tremble at the wake of the attack on the desert kingdom by Isafaro forces. So they finally stopped sleeping. By the sound of the gunfire, the screams, this would stand as the largest attack he's heard from them in the longest of times. The worth of Ayanna and Zach must have been irreplaceable to them. The ex-soldier grabbed Ayanna and left Zach to Garrus capable hands as he moved to Alexander. "Lead the way."

Garrus Vakarian We'll be the judge of that. Came the turian's response to Zach as the wall holding him in place released him into the hands of Garrus who straightened him up and kept his weapon locked on him while the guards bound his wrists together with chains. These two were the closest thing they had to an inside scoop on Vulture's defenses and they couldn't afford to lose them now that they were so close to breaking.

Drake White burst forth from the tank he was inside of, his long sword raised as he charged towards Z-Rah. Meanwhile the cockpit of the surrounding tanks came over and one of the soldiers inside them came out with energy rifles in hands and began blasting the statue guards out of the sky as the tanks continued to hold their ground. Drake White made it to the top of the Goliath and brought the flat end of his blade down against the back of Z-Rah's skull.
---------------------------------------
“What are you doing to her!?”
Screamed Zach as he saw Ayanna's skin pealing away on its own accord like something ripped straight out of a horror/slasher movie.
“WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO HER?!”
Zach attempted to get free which caused the guard to instinctively react and slam the back of their hilts to the back of Zach's skull. To anyone else it would have knocked them out cold on the ground but Zach only fell to his hands and knees for a moment before being pulled back up to his feet and escorted with the others.

The soul of the man was forever lost but Z-Rah could not claim it, it then not belong to his world. As Drake White drew close with his sword he would be blinded by a bright green light coming from the demon, the blade starting to go through his incorporeal head before he floated back like a ghost with all the graces of a ballet dancer. Toxins came from Z-Rah's hands and headed into the system of Isafaro's Golden Boy. Meanwhile Jherrazad foot soldiers already hidden around the battlefield aimed their rifles towards the Isafaro soldiers at the tanks cockpit and fired at their heads to eliminate them while all their attention was on the statues in the air. From there the statues would crash into the tanks and destroy them.
Alexander led Kragen, Garrus and the prisoners out of the prison corridor of the dungeons and once in the next one came to a part of the wall with a torch nearby. Alexander's hand came down on the torch and the wall before them opened up leading to an underground tunnel. "The underground tunnel through here leads outside of Jherrazad. From there we can move to one of the back-up camps in the deserts." Alexander picked up the torch and then light the way of the tunnel, leading the group through it.

The surviving soldiers in the Goliath moved it back while Drake spun his sword around at unnatural speeds until it acted like a fan and blew the toxins away from him and inflicted it upon the people of Jherrazad, the soldiers in hiding included. With the toxins out of the way, Drake White lunged off the top of the Goliath tank and swung his sword rapidly at Z-Rah looking for anything solid to exploit.
At the first shots by the Jherrazad Soldiers, one Isafaro shooter fell to his death. This alerted the others who went back into their tanks, one more would fall by the shots fired but the other two shooters rejoined the other soldiers inside the M1 tanks and the Goliath defended them from the demon statues as they quickly approached the black castle and resumed open firing on the entrance.

Judging by all the commotion coming from Zach what Sparda did to them were affecting him the most. The ex-soldier hardly heard a peep out of Ayanna since the attacks on the castle began. Now faced with a secret passage to an underground tunnel Kragen nodded to acknowledge what Alexander said and walked down the steps behind Alexander, following the lights cast by the torch in his hands.

Garrus was surprised to see that Zach was still conscience after that shot at the back of the head when he should have been out like a light. That suggested he had some form of superior endurance on his side and according to Imai the Golden Trio were all cut from the same cloth. Maybe it was good that they had such endurance. Otherwise the nightmare Sparda is putting them through would have broken them down to unrecognizable levels rendering them useless by now. Keeping a watchful eye on Zach for any more moves of defiance, the rebel turian followed the others into the underground tunnel hoping the others would be able to hold the fort here and repel the Isafaro attack. The last thing they needed in this war was the lost of Jherrazad.

In an instance Z-Rah was behind Drake when he landed, dual blades in hands and held up to his neck in an X formation to slit his throat.
At the front of the castle before the M1 tanks fast approaching was the Black Knight Kaso and his knights of Jherrazad West Division. Raising his blade Kaso released a mighty battle cry and led the knights in his charge against the tanks showing no fear for their superior firepower. "You think this is enough!?" Shouted Kaso as he headed for the M1 tank on the far right. "You think you can conquer us with a few measly tanks?!" The Black Knight sliced through the tank's main gun and continued to slice and dice until all that remained of the M1 tank and the soldiers inside it were pieces.
Alexander led Kragen, Garrus and the prisoners at the other side of the tunnel where camels were waiting for them. Keeping hold of the torch the General of Jherrazad of East Division looked to the others and instructed, "Take these camels and continue on straight ahead until you see a camp site. You can't miss it."

This would have posed a serious problem, if Z-Rah was corporeal. But taken his incorporeal form into account Drake fell back from the dual blades to his neck and rolled through the lower body of the demon, quickly getting up to his feet and drawing the Golden .50 Caliber Desert Eagle from his trench coat and open fired on the dual blades to both disarm and render them useless. Where did those things come from anyway, his ass?
Up in the sky came two black fighter's jets that began to open fire on the statue demon guards in the sky, luring them into a dog fight in the air leaving the Goliath tank open to rejoin with the others. The three M1 tanks that remained after Kaso's assault spread out at the front of the castle and opened fired on the knights before they could get close. Once the Goliath tank was in view it unleashed three small missiles towards Kaso before following up with more shots from the main gun.

From the skies above Jherrazad, ruin descended.
Out of the clouds dove a pair of winged forms, shrouded in black smoke as if torn from the depths of a mighty fire. This smog cleared upon the wind to reveal two enormous, imp-like demons, their great wings tattered and their spindly limbs tipped with clawed extremities. With deceptive speed they set themselves upon the Isafaro fighters, latching onto them in mid-air and rending great gashes in their wings and bodies as they began tumbling from the air.
On the ground, the tanks met a similar fate. Dense tendrils of darkness rose up from their very shadows, constricting around them and squeezing with unimaginable power. Slowly, inexorably, the surviving tanks were crumpled and crushed with their crews still inside, their screams of agony unheard.
All the while, the Dark Knight remained within the stricken castle as his familiars turned the tide upon this rescue mission.

Although they were all the way over here, Kragen could still hear the sound of gunfire, the screams of the innocent filling up the sky and the sounds of the fighter's jets before they went silent. The battle in Jherrazad was shaping up to be an ugly one before it was through and even if Isafaro somehow prevailed they would only find that their intended targets were gone. The ex-soldier lifted the tied up Ayanna Kaktas onto the back of their camel and then jumped up to the front himself, ready to ride. Now waiting on Garrus.

Garrus Vakarian Sounds like it's getting pretty bad up there. Commented Garrus before they reached the end of the tunnel. He helped the other guards that escorted them get Zach up on the back of the camel he picked out for himself and then listened to Alexander give directions. Garrus then noticed that Alexander was in no hurry to put out that torch or grab a camel to ride on. Garrus Vakarian I take it you aren't coming with us?
