The soldiers inside the black castle of Jherrazad trembled in fear as they saw Chloe wielding Kasul in her hand. The vampiress was dressed in a beautiful white gown with matching slippers and a golden crown atop her head. She made her way to the balcony that looked out to the entire Desert Empire and smiled before calling out to them. "People of Jherrazad, hear me! Ranko is dead. I killed her and am now in possession of this very blade!" Chloe held up Kasul and in an instant many of those down below feared her. "By right I am the successor to the throne of Jherrazad! I am your new Empress! Bow before me or perish!"Many of the citizens bowed, some however stood in defiance. They were soon obliterated by a demonic blast from Kasul. No one else dare to even raise their heads until told otherwise by their new Empress. The vampiress smiled a second time, pleased by the reaction she has received from the majority of her new people. Hearing Kasul's whispers speak their approval she spoke again. "I smell your fear, do not be afraid. I promise to lead Jherrazad into a new era, an era of peace and prosperity. All you have to do is serve me and you will be greatly rewarded, I assure you."

“Empty promises made by a naive little girl.”
“The Black Knight” Kaso and Alexander stood behind the new Empress speaking quietly enough so that those down below would be unable to hear.
“We've found Lady Ranko's body,” said Alexander.
“Naked, violated and drained of blood,” continued Kaso. “You have no honor.”
“It was unwise to leave her body laying out as you did.”
“You have no right to call yourself her successor.”
“Why Kasul chose you is a mystery even to us but as it stands we will follow your orders. We took the liberty of clothing and moving Lady Ranko's body for you. It would be bad for morale if your troops thought you a coward.”
“Which you are.”
“Kaso...”
The two shared a glance before looking back at Chloe.
“What are your orders, milady?”

Chloe spun around and stared sharply at Kaso. After listening to the duo annoyingly finish each other's sentence, the vampiress took a couple of steps close to the Black Knight and stared up into his dimly lit red eyes, her blue ones flashing red while during so. "Address me in such a way again and I will have you beheaded." Chloe spoke coldly and with every intention on carrying that order out if Kaso didn't yield to her authority. Turning her head back to Alexander, Chloe said, "You can start by telling me where exactly you moved Ranko's body. We wouldn't want my predecessor to magically come back to life and complicate things, now would we?"

Kaso stared back into Chloe's eyes for a moment before readjusting himself in a less opposing position.
“Lady Ranko was moved to the infirmary. As far as the rest of the world is concerned you defeated Ranko fair and square in combat.”
“There is still a matter of a war to contend with, Empress. The alliance with Aircano has been threatened by the sudden change of heart in their High Priestess.”
“Miracle has declared war on all outsiders of Genesis. They already made siege for the tower in an effort to destroy it.”
“Miracle has been captured by “The Seductress” but that doesn't mean Aircano is no longer a threat. That's the thing about religious extremists. Get rid of one and another will just take their place.”
“Then there's the case of Isafaro either making another siege for the tower or attacking us.”
“Moon Valley as well. We should make good use of Z-Rah's soldiers to defend the city from a possible attack by either force.”

The vampiress was suddenly being bombarded by decisions. Chloe should have expected this but at the moment her mind was too far gone to have properly thought about it during her decision to become Empress in the first place. The only thing she had thought about was power, glory and men. Not the fact that she would have to command an entire army in the middle of a war with two, potentially three, opposing armies. It was enough to give her a splitting headache.
"First thing first. I want Ranko's body cremated by dusk and ashes spread through the desert soon afterwords. I'll be attending the cremation personally so be sure to alert me when you're ready. The party I traveled here with is to be granted safe passage through Jherrazad and as for the war, I trust you both to use your best judgment. Contact me if anything changes." Dodged a bullet. Chloe walked past them and proceeded to explore the rest of the castle now that, for all intent and purposes, it was hers.

"I turn my back for a few days and you've gone and conquered a place..." Argus' half-phased body dangled from the ceiling and he stared down at the well dressed vampiress wielding the famous Kasul. How she did it took him by surprise--Chloe didn't appear to be the type who would kill The Red Devil so easily but she probably found a good weakness. "...without me!" He exclaimed and threw out his arms, feigning frustration but the seriousness of it wouldn't allow jokes to be thrown out by the dozens.
The rest of his body slipped through the stonework and he gracefully landed on his feet, "But honestly, I turn my back and this happens? You know what'll happen when the others find out?" Argus frowned, "I imagine Sparda will give a lecture about lack of morals, Miracle will probably do some 'fire and damnation' speech, Sazan may just slap you and Maricul...may blast you into oblivion but that's beside the point. Point is you may have a long line of people ready to do all of that."
Argus diverted his eyes to the blade she held and cautiously took a step back, "Thank god Sasha isn't here or she'd be all over that thing."

A clash of thunder and a flash of lighting later, and Sazan appeared inside the castle dressed in full black Witch garments made complete by the hat. Her eyes an ebony black as a look of sheer rage could be plainly seen on her face and felt in her aura. Ranko was her aunt, family, and Chloe, someone Sazan considered a friend, had killed her with no remorse and taken her Empire with no concern for the consequences of her actions. As a statement Sazan brought both her hands forward and shot out a powerful surge of lighting that would be enough to obliterate Chloe and anyone who stepped in the way on the spot if Chloe didn't use Kasul to block.

"Argus, so nice of you to drop in." Chloe smiled at Argus, the object of her current desire. Someone who proved to be as addicting to the vampiress as the new-found power she received by eliminating Ranko. Someone she still considered to be a good friend. The lecture didn't come as a surprise but Chloe smile never truly faded away. "I'm flattered that you still care so much about me but you and Amoura has taught me well. I can take care of myself."
It felt like fate was challenging her own statement as Sazan appeared. No words. Just raw anger directed at Chloe. She expected rage but nothing like this. The half human, vampire didn't even bother to lecture or reason. Sazan went straight for the kill but Chloe was quick to raise Kasul to block, it absorbing the black magic while Chloe used her strength to keep herself steady. The lighting was done but Chloe kept her guard up in case Sazan tried something else. "No stop!" Chloe yelled out to the guards that moved to take out Sazan. They stopped and took a step back as Chloe looked over to the enraged Sazan. "You have every right to be angry but even a murderer has a right to speak before they're hanged. I had no choice. I only intended on weakening her so I could free the Angel of Death but all that repression inside of her. It had to come out one way or another. I couldn't resist. I am sorry, Sazan."

"Well, we did look after you a lot so I figured I'd drop in-" Soon as the lightning came, Argus yelped and momentarily lost control of his powers causing his whole body to sink below the floor. Unfortunate crashes and bangs were heard later--he probably dropped right into the kitchen or a storage room.
Beside Sazan was an equally angered Michael with hands engulfed in shadowed magic. The words of spells were already on his lips, ready to be uttered should his wife attack again so the impact would be much more devastating. Michael knew little of Kasul, only that it belonged to a family member, and was unsure of what spells to use to overwhelm the blade.
"That was awkward," Argus' head poked up from the floor and he, nervously, greeted the others who arrived. That greet was cut short when he realized who had dared to show up and he snorted. Rather than making a comment that'll irritate two powerful spellcasters, he decided to quietly pick himself up. "Now all that's missing is a Knight."

“I'm sorry?” Well that just makes everything all better doesn't it? You're sorry. You're sorry you killed one of the few family members I had left!? Don't stand there with Kasul in your hand and tell me you're sorry because I know you're not. You're just a puppet of the sword and it will toss you aside like yesterday's garbage for the first person it sees as a better ruler than you.”
Even though Sazan wanted to hit her again and again, she knew that Kasul would only absorb her power as most of it was black magic. That, and she didn't want to risk a prolong battle here where more innocent people could be lost like her aunt. They were supposed to be allies but there was no way in hell Sazan could bring herself to be on the same side as their betrayer. No way in hell!
“If you so much as lay a finger on anyone else I care about I swear, I will kill you.”

"Speak of the devil and he shall appear."
Through a dark rift opened in the corner of the chamber, said Knight strode, his namesake sword in hand and his cerulean eyes fixed upon Chloe. There was no anger to be seen there, nor any manner of resolve to put a stop to this lunacy. There was only... disappointment. Sorrow, almost, at what had happened to Chloe.
"Anyone else see what's wrong with this picture?" he called across the room, waving an almost dismissive hand at the self-proclaimed new Empress of Jherrazad. "This isn't the Chloe who first came to us, not at all. Though given your persistent bloodlust troubles, I shouldn't be surprised that that thing -" at this, he pointed at Kasul - "was able to tempt you so easily."
As a precautionary measure, Sparda casually shouldered his weapon. The assembled guards stepped forward almost as one to meet him - a single withering glare from the ancient demon stopped them in their tracks.

With the exception of Amoura and Zira the whole Hallowton group was here. All to give their usual responses although remembering personal experiences Sparda and Sazan seemed like they had actually switched bodies. Looking back to Kaso, Alexander and Clash she gave them all a glance that clearly said "stay alert" before looking back to the others. "I'm in control of Kasul I assure you. I sincerely hope this doesn't put too much of a wedge between us. We need each other. Miracle has been taken by Maricul, Aircano is corrupted and Isafaro continue to make attempt after attempt to destroy us. Now is not the time to be fighting amongst ourselves."

Michael firmly planted a hand on Sazan's shoulder in an attempt to calm her. Shadowed flame continued to dance around his free hand should there be a need for defense or attack--for now he chose to follow his bride's lead in this. Family she loved had been taken from her and he couldn't stand to see his beloved upset.
Or angry for that matter.
"Ah, hello, I was just expecting you," Argus gave Sparda a "two finger" salute and smirked at the Legend's statement, "if my luck is this great for expecting then I won't even consider my father's name." The hybrid's playful demeanor was doing nothing to break the thick ice of this situation and any joke would put him in a bad light. Perhaps conversation will give way to cracks.
"I'm sure she's capable of wielding it for now. I know none of us are happy with what she did but she has a point. We need to get Miracle back. Who knows what Maricul is doing to her? Once that's settled we should figure things out with this...predicament."
"The current threat is here and now!" Michael shouted and glared at Argus who returned the look with equal intensity, "Ranko is dead and Chloe is unstable. The Red Devil had more control over herself–"
"-yes, I can see that, especially when Chloe seduced her–"
"Are you defending what she did?!"
Argus held up his hands, "Just saying. Cool your jets, crow."
Michael just growled.
"I'm not defending what she did! Holy shit. Can't we all just calm down so we can think clearly for once? No wonder my counterpart was such an emo fuck."

“You should have thought about that before you upset the balance of power. In case you don't recall we're not supposed to be here, let alone taking over entire kingdoms! You've made yourself a target of the Arashi on top of everything else!”
Upon listening to Michael and Argus' exchange, Sazan shot the hybrid a cold glare.
“Watch your tongue.”
Before returning her glare to Chloe.
“Ranko didn't even have full control of the blade and she was its rightful owner for over five hundred years. What makes you think you're any better?”

"Thank you, Argus." Chloe couldn't help but smile whenever she looked at the hybrid. He was always someone she could rely on no matter what she did. Amoura was the same but over time she has grown far more attached to her male equivalent which was made easier due to the fact they drank from each other. Looking back to Sazan, Chloe tried to think of a way to break some of the tension mainly coming from Sazan and her husband. "We've already intervened with this world's problems. What's one more thing? If it's any consolation, Sazan, I think many of us would have broken under such repression being released so abruptly. It wasn't any show of weakness on Ranko's part. If there's anything I can do to make things easier on you, please let me know."
