Well I'm sorry. I really don't want to do the 'Amoura' thing where no matter how hard I try or how well I do at something tragedy after tragedy always happen. I want to be rewarded for my hard work not beaten down and spat on for it. Writers have befallen their characters with tragedies long before any of us came onto the scene. It's nothing new. Nobody wants to read the book where the hero always wins. At some point the hero has to fail. On the flip side, nobody wants to read the book where the hero is hit with nothing but tragedies either. There needs to be a balance. And I don't think Amoura is the best example one can give for a character overcoming tragedies. What happened to her is just way too over the top for many to even relate to and if it happened to anybody they would either be dead, batshit insane or had killed themselves a long time ago. What works for her will not work for everybody, and call me old fashion but a person should have some say over their character's own development.

People have no say over the tragedies that affect their lives, why should a RP be any different?

Because one is something we do to have fun and the other is something completely out of our control. If we're not having fun then we should have the right to say no.
This is not complicated...

This thread isn't about Amoura, it's not even about what Ayen and Superwoman agreed to prior to the thread as Ayen edited his last post accordingly, this is about the current story going on in "Don't bet on it."
If you want to debate make a new topic for it.

*reads DC's post* This'll be interesting. Maybe I should have taken Superwoman's advice

Imagine playing Resident Evil 4 just to watch Sarah die in the final FMV. That would have ended the franchise faster than killing off Albert Wesker. And her name was Ashley. Details, details.

I have a feeling Superwoman is about to learn what pain feels like.

Go ahead and do another round of posting without me since I'm unable to post at the moment. Stuck at airport.

It's just... You ran into your character's personnal Arashi XD Makes sense when you think about it. When you've been invulnerable all your life you don't think about the consequences of your actions.
