Well I'm sorry. I really don't want to do the 'Amoura' thing where no matter how hard I try or how well I do at something tragedy after tragedy always happen. I want to be rewarded for my hard work not beaten down and spat on for it. Nice to know what happens to my character is considered a 'thing' now. But regardless, let's not snap at each other in this thread, if you please, and let's keep things friendly. And as head's up, not everything your character does will be rewarded and I'm not speaking from personal experience with my characters--I've seen it happen with everyone else's on other forums too. If your character gets rewarded for all the hard work they do all the time, it stunts some growth that could really spur development in plots and so on. Plus it doesn't make sense...

I didn't mean it like that. I was just using Amoura as an example. I'm sorry.

I can kind of see Superwoman's point. Imagine playing Resident Evil 4 just to watch Sarah die in the final FMV. Sure, at first you're like, "Yeah! Take that, you stupid bitch!" but then as the dust settled you'd go, "What the hell I went through all of that for nothing!?" *throws down controller*

We use your name as a slang term for whenever something bad happens to a person. Didn't you get the memo?

Especially if you're going to be playing the role of superhero.

In other news, DC accidentally the whole thread by introducing Doomsday.
For anyone unfamiliar with him, Doomsday's a basically undefeatable monster created on Krypton. Aside from his myriad abilities and ungodly strength, whenever he dies, he resurrects himself after a while - having developed a complete immunity to whatever just killed him, regardless of what it might be.
Long story short, this is the beast that killed Superman.

Imagine playing Resident Evil 4 just to watch Sarah die in the final FMV. That would have ended the franchise faster than killing off Albert Wesker. And her name was Ashley.

Don't know how many of you caught it but DC's last post seems to suggest there's a Sparda in this universe.

What's the point of agreeing to take part in a challenge if those involve make the whole thing pointless by the very end? It doesn't contribute to development it's just annoying and I know I'm not the only one here who would feel cheated by it.

I want to be rewarded for my hard work not beaten down and spat on for it. Writers have befallen their characters with tragedies long before any of us came onto the scene. It's nothing new. Nobody wants to read the book where the hero always wins. At some point the hero has to fail.

People, lay off of Superwoman ok? Ayen laid out the challenge for her long before the thread was even made: keep Carari Grey alive. Then he jerked her around by killing Carari himself. You'd be pissed off too.
