I happen to like both characters...having more history with one than the other but still...I'm sure this fight will be a draw.

I'm pretty sure Mari's got this one. Fukari doesn't have the home court advantage that made her so dangerous last time, and the Witch Within is simply too brutally powerful for her to deal with. Looks like she doesn't have much of a choice now but to retreat.

Now it is a rare thing to see a fight taking over more than one thread, especially with only two contestants. You know, when I thought Maricul had it in the bag Fukari just comes around and does something utterly brutal, showing that despite ridiculously strong odds in her disfavour she still owns up to being an unpredictable and dangerous adversary.
Now both of them basically wrecked a portion of a country and are moving towards another. I'm almost wondering how people haven't tried to intervene as of yet, especially Ranko seeing how most of that battle was literally happening at her doorstep XD

This battle was pretty much overshadowed by the fight with Aper and forgotten for the most part, but for anyone who still cares the fight has officially ended in part-2 as a stalemate.

Meh. I say both parts served their purpose fairly well. It was just bad timing as most of our remaining muse was used up in the plot thread.
