I didn't know where else to put this so move if it's in the wrong place but um, I've been trying to understand the plot.
There is more than one universe correct? All coming together and as we understand things in real life there's one universe, galaxies and worlds. If we have more than one universe in the story then what would be beyond a universe?

There's only one universe. Each sector of the universe is home to a different dimension separated by barriers. When the barriers were shattered that began the process of the dimensions all merging together in the same universe. The towers (called the Downward Spiral) act as a gateway to the different dimensions. And that's pretty much the premise in a nutshell.
