Miracle.
A bright light began to grow outside the balcony’s window of the inn room Miracle was in. The smell of a sweet perfume drifted over Miracle’s bed as Maricul’s soft voice spoke to the child once more.
Miracle.
Maricul stepped out from the light dressed in her usual attire; black sleeveless shirt fastened at the front, matching black pants and combat boots with a white trench coat over her top that came down to her thighs. The only difference from now and the last time they were alone, asides from the obvious, was the faint white heavenly glow that emitted around The Seductress’ body. Standing on the balcony now her brown eyes looked over to where the High Priestess slept.
Come to me, Miracle.

The past day has been the longest day of the child's life.
"Miracle."
24 hours felt like a lifetime, a lifetime that would never end no matter how hard she tried. The warning that the Arashi was coming, the great battle that took place in Aircano tearing it apart, the revelation, escaping the explosion that threatened to swallow them all whole in the Crystal Expanse and the attack by Amoura. It was more than enough to tire out any strong warrior, even one of God.
"Miracle."
"Maricul?"
Miracle sat up from her bed and rubbed her eyes with fists. Once her vision came back she was blinded by the bright until it began to dim down and the appearance of Maricul came into view. The High Priestess could not believe her eyes. Maricul was on site to receive the blast at point blank range and she was standing here. Alive!
Miracle jumped up from her bed and ran out on the balcony coming to a stop against the railing as she held onto it and looked over to Maricul in disbelief.
"Maricul. Is it really you?"

Maricul smiled down to the child and brought her right hand up underneath the chin of Miracle. Her feet barely touched the floor as the lower half of her body floated upward while she drifted through the air like a ghost, but her touch was very much corporal and warm, her fingers brushing across Miracle’s skin.
Yes it’s me.
Maricul’s hands reached up to Miracle’s cheeks and the vampiress looked into the child’s eyes lovingly. She could see just how fatigue Miracle was by looking into her eyes. The ordeal she’s gone through has been no small one and still she carried on, her faith in tact.
I am still very much alive.

Maricul's touch was so warm, so heavenly. Overwhelmed with joy the High Priestess embraced the woman in a hug and squeezed her tightly. After all the horrible things that has happened in the past 24 hours, after all the lives that were lost to the Arashi finally there were some good news.
"I thought I had lost you forever. W-why didn't you come with the rest of us when Amoura teleported us away? We could have used you while we were running away from the supernova in the Crystal Expanse!"

Maricul wrapped her arms around Miracle in the hug and stroked her hair with her right hand. Upon the child’s question Maricul slowly removed her hold on Miracle and floated a couple of inches backward from where the High Priestess stood, looking down at her whilst her smile never wavered. But the answer to her question was not an easy one.
He who controls the past commands the future. He who commands the future, conquers the past.
The vampiress feet finally touched the floor and her body moved as if it was dictated by gravity once again. The faint white heavenly glow subsided and the woman began to speak normally.
“I’ve seen the future – our future as a united people. It is my destiny to lead the way for all mankind.”

Miracle felt the warmth of the woman leave her before she spoke. A frown appeared on the young one's lips as it appeared Maricul was still determined to follow through with the insanity she suggested of doing back on the field of battle. Even after feeling infinite power, the kind of power the human mind could not possibly ever comprehend, Maricul would not be discouraged. She was nothing if not persistent. And stubborn.
"Will you not reconsider? Is there nothing I can do to change your mind?"

“Your concerns are understandable but there is no room for doubt. Change is often met with terror and hostility.”
Maricul walked over to the railing and leaned against it as she looked up to the moon which silver rays of light shined down brightly on the city of Hallowton.
“But creation cannot survive without evolution. Evolution cannot take place without first being created. If we are to evolve, to surpass our limitations then we must not be afraid to venture into the unknown! As I have and as the rest of civilization will.”
Maricul turned around, her back now lent up against the balcony’s railing as she continued.
“The Arashi could not stop me and neither will The Creator. From the ashes of worlds rise Utopia.”

“Your concerns are understandable but there is no room for doubt. Change is often met with terror and hostility.”
"The change you offer is madness! Do you not see that?"
The High Priestess refused to believe that Maricul was so far gone she could not see just how absurd her plans for uniting the worlds really was. Yahweh had sent his strongest warrior to restore balance and now she wanted to send it spiraling further out of control to the point where Yahweh himself could very well send an entire army of angels to stop her, or even Jesus Christ himself. Then there was the fact that The Creator may send something worse than the Arashi to stop her. She would surely die if not stopped.
“But creation cannot survive without evolution. Evolution cannot take place without first being created. If we are to evolve, to surpass our limitations then we must not be afraid to venture into the unknown! As I have and as the rest of civilization will.”
"What you offer isn't evolution. Evolution takes thousands and thousand of years to complete. You want to change everything now."
“The Arashi could not stop me and neither will The Creator. From the ashes of worlds rise Utopia.”
"Utopia? Is that what you decided to call this madness? Utopia!? You wish to anger the gods and the Creator of all things, to force their hand to bring down fiery vengeance! If this is your idea of Utopia then I don't want to know your definition of chaos!"

“You’re a child of God, it’s astounding you even believe in evolution. That’s like having your cake and eating it too but I digress.”
Maricul walked past the child again and this time lend her hand up against the window that separated the balcony from the inn room.
“You will have more than enough time to prepare. Perhaps by then you will understand that my way is the best way. In the meanwhile I think you should know that my sister is already on the move. She has unlocked an evil from the realm your new friends hail from. An evil locked away by the father of Amoura; the Prince of Darkness himself. Mundus. She will come for Aircano after it is rebuilt with plans to take it to increase her own empire.”

Why did these events have to unfold in this way? Why did Maricul have to harden her heart to the Lord? Miracle only stared down at her feet as the vampiress continued to speak about her motives, about things to come involving the nation of Jherrazad. Another name also gathered the child's interest. Mundus. He was related to Amoura but what role did he play in on all of this? What was he? Miracle thought it would be better to save her questions for either Amoura or Sparda. There were other things that only Maricul could answer and she didn't want to waste them on this "Mundus" fellow.
"No matter how much time pass I will never find your way to be the correct one! I already have plans to speak to the leaders of Isafaro and Jherrazad, as you well know, to find a peaceful resolution to avoid war. But I am not ignorant enough to have never considered the possibility that these negotiations may fail. Please. Tell me more of this "evil" she has unlocked."

Maricul scoffed at the idea of a peace treaty with Isafaro and Jherrazad. Has the child learn nothing? Even if she could convince them to sign some form of treaty it would only be a matter of time before their nature took over and caused them to break it and violence would erupt on Jherra all over again.
“You’d better luck finding a peaceful resolution with The Arashi!”
And considering how much Maricul found Yahweh and his “will” to be unreasonable that was really saying something coming from her.
“They will never agree to peace. You’re wasting your time. But very well I will tell you of this threat.”
Maricul leaned her back against the window and crossed her arms in front of her chest.
“A great light rose from the east – warriors of the light made siege for the Promise Land but there was a great darkness that rose from the west – warriors of the darkness came to siege the Promise Land and steal it away from the light but the land hid itself. Neither the light nor the darkness could find it.”
The vampiress pressed off against the window and now stood before the child as she took Miracle’s hand into her own and smiled.
“And you will come to see things my way.”
Her face drew closer to Miracle’s.
“I’ve already seen it.”

Why must everything be spoken in riddle? First the Arashi and now Maricul. Was this yet more prophecy or things already came to past? The High Priestess got the feeling that she would not receive an answer as the Seductress drew closer and took Miracle's hand into her own. What she had to say next would anger the child as she pulled her hand away from her and backed away.
"Leave. Leave my room at once!"
Miracle shouted it out and in the moments to happen next the High Priestess found herself sitting straight up from her bed and staring over at the wall across from it. She panted and then came to realize that she was still in her bed and Maricul was nowhere to be found. Was that really all a dream? Miracle laid back down and turned to her side as she pondered what has just happened. No that couldn't have been only a dream.
It was real.
