This place. It was so unlike the rest of the world. Everything was so peaceful, so calm, it almost felt like Zira has crossed the threshold into paradise upon exploring the tower. Ebony and Ivory were both hoisted at her ankles while Force Edge rested from the confines of it's sheath strapped to her waist. The sounds of chanting reached the ear of the demon as she headed towards the source of the chanting. The Firebird found herself standing on a field and over on yonder was a large golden statue of a female with short hair and dressed in a body suit with a trench coat over it. Before the chanting came full circle Zira instantly recognized who the statue was made of.
"Maricul?"
The Firebird looked around to hear the people chanting her name, bowing down before the statue made in her likeness as Zira was taken aback by all of this. The Maricul she knew was considered a low life, one of Mundus weakest agents who'd do anything, or anyone, to keep herself alive and these people were worshiping her like a god?
What the hell was going on?

The Seductress was sat peacefully on her throne in Utopia sleeping. Luca Valentine had been her liaison, her representative and avatar since her old body and essence was destroyed by The Arashi. Recovery was not an easy one even with all her power. For many weeks Maricul was only strong enough to appear in people’s dreams – first making an appearance in Miracle’s to warn her of Z-Rah, the second in Amoura’s to give the same warning and then finally Adam’s as a personal visit. But Maricul was about to finally awaken.
Her eyes came open and a sudden rush of pleasure she has never known, even in the midst of all the men and women she had slept with, vibrated throughout her body. She could hear their prayers flooding into her ears and entering the depths of her mind. Maricul could feel them praising her name and lifting it up high. It gave her a case of the shivers and for a moment she wanted to allow herself to drift away in it all but she knew what that meant. If she submitted to this pleasure she would become just like them. As weak as them. Maricul would not let this happen!
She rose from the throne and then vanished from the throne room. Maricul descended upon the people worshiping her and they cried out for her to bless them. Clad in robes of pure gold she held out her hand to the stature of her and sent out a beam of destructive energy from it, ripping the stature in half and sending it crashing down to the ground as the people ran away screaming.
“You are BETTER THAN THIS!”
Maricul released another energy blast, this one obliterating some of the runaway citizens of Utopia as others cried out in agony. How quickly has heaven turned into hell upon the wake of Maricul’s anger.
“I do not desire worship! I do not need my name praised and you do not need a deity to pray to!”
Her voice surrounding the open fields as the people were on their hands and knees trembling in terror beneath the power of Maricul; the living deity.

Zira lunge and knocked into the people on the path of obliteration, falling with them as they rolled about the ground in the midst of Maricul's anger. The Firebird got up to one knee and looked down to the scared survivors of that blast.
"Run!"
They did not have to be told twice as they fled and got far away from Maricul's wrath. Meanwhile Zira stood to both feet and drew Ebony and Ivory from their hoists now holding it up to Maricul. She looked extremely different to the one Zira knew back in Mortis. The Firebird could not decide if this was the same incarnation as she found herself unable to read the vampire's mind. But she could feel her power and the Seductress felt to be so much more than just a vampire now. Caution would be the best approach here.
"What is the meaning of this, Maricul!?"

Maricul’s eyes fell upon Zira Firestone, The Firebird, Daughter of Mundus, younger sister of Amoura, up from above. The one who used Sparda’s own sword as a beacon of hope in a begotten realm. Her strength and courage was something to be admired. And her beauty. This one was so unlike her older sister. Maricul could still feel the fires of passion that burns within her, longing for a companion to sooth her body, mind and soul. She could use that kind of fire on her side.
“You misunderstand.”
The Seductress snapped her fingers and the human guises of those around them faded away. Unveiling disgusting looking devils that cried out into the sky. In another wave of light the devils disperse, fallen to the deity’s power as she then descended onto the ground with all the grace of an angel before the demon of Mortis.
“I am not the Maricul you knew and I pose no threat to you, Ms. Zira Firestone. You can put those away now.”
She motioned to the pistols before smiling.
“Welcome to Utopia.”

"Do you take me as some kind of a fool?"
Zira didn't lower her weapons instead she would keep both Ebony and Ivory aimed at the woman ready to fire at any given second should the need arise.
"I heard what you said before and those were not words you yell at low level demons. They were people who, for whatever sick reason, were praising your name and you struck them down! Why?"
The Firebird wouldn't back down until she got answers. She wouldn't allow the woman to use her sly tongue to slip her out of this one as she had done so many times with her father back on Mortis.

“You are anything but a fool, midear.”
Maricul took a step forward, showing very little concern over the handguns. She was beyond such physical matters now. She brought a hand up to gently stroke Zira’s cheek with the back of her palm.
“Your story is one of inspiration. Of hope. Many years after the dethroning of your father will the people speak of the one who delivered them from damnation and saved their world. You are a legend. Far exceeding that of The Legendary Dark Knight.”
Maricul dropped the hand but remained close to Zira. Looking into her eyes while she dared to run her fingers over the hand that held onto Ebony.
“These people were once like you. Demons that awakened to justice but they decided to make themselves no better than lesser devils by praising my name and relying too much on me. I never wanted this but they were in awe of my power. What was I to do? Once such a fall occurs it's impossible for the demon in question to return to their former glory. You should know that better than anyone.”

Her touch. It was so warm, so soothing. Unlike that of a cold hearted vampire that wanted only destruction. It comforted the Firebird and brought her under a spell of serenity. For a moment the woman did not realize where she was, almost becoming lost beneath the soothing touch until she remembered who it was that laid her hands on her and then Zira smacked them aside and stepped back.
"Keep your hands off me!"
It seems this incarnation of Maricul was even better at seduction. Zira would have to be careful from now on lest she submits to the overwhelming power of seduction that this woman was so famous for. The Firebird would never admit how close she came to submitting to Maricul's power just now.
"And since you seem to know so much about me and my world you'll forgive me for being weary in trusting you."
Maricul didn't seem threatened by Ebony and Ivory. Perhaps a more intimidating weapon was needed. Zira hoisted the pistols and then drew the Force Edge, now holding the edge of it's sharp blade up against the throat of the Seductress.
"Now you will answer ALL of my questions and I won't kill you. For starters; how did I get here? The last thing I remember I was battling my father and then I was pulled into the world of Genesis through a dimensional rift and now after exploring the gateway I end up here. How?"

Maricul smiled when she saw the look in Zira’s eyes when she touched her. It was full of inner peace and it served to enhance the physical beauty of The Firebird. But soon she managed to break out of the seduction Maricul was transmitting and stepped away. The Living Deity would have expected nothing less from a daughter of Mundus. She did share the same blood as The Night Angel after all. Even if they were from two different universes. That the way Maricul liked it. If they were easy seductions then they would not be conquests worth bragging about.
“I understand. You felt the same way when you first met up with The Night Angel. I am sure that in time you will come to trust me as you did her.”
Maricul’s eyes then looked towards The Force Edge. That blade seem to be showing up everywhere these days. Dante held one incarnation of it, Zira held another, Eva wielded a replica called Mirror Edge and she could feel her daughter making another incarnation in its awakened state making her mother, oh so proud of how far she came since their last meeting.
“You do not need to threaten me, Ms. Firestone. I am more than happy to answer all of your questions to the best of my ability. Shall we move this conversation someplace more comfortable?”

"No I feel perfectly comfortable right here with my blade to your throat."
Zira spoke coldly and kept the blade firmly against Maricul's throat reminding her who had the upper-hand here. She didn't care what kind of new powers she had. The Firebird just came from killing one demon with powers like that of a god she was confident she could do the same to a vampire with powers like that of a god.
"Now answer my questions."

“Do you think I fear your blade?”
Maricul took another step forward, pressing her skin against the sharp edge of the blade threatening to be cut and showing no fear. Maricul trailed her fingers across the bottom of the flat end, looking unimpressed overall at the efforts of Zira Firestone.
“It’s not even awakened. How do you expect me to yield to a sleeping sword?”
Maricul tapped Zira with the tip of her index finger and the demon would feel a powerful invisible force pushing her back, creating some distance between the two as Maricul laughed at how inferior the great legend of Mortis really was to her new found power.
“Even if it was awakened I doubt you could make me tremble but a sword caught in slumber is even more laughable. Now where should I begin?”
Maricul folded her arms and tapped her chin while thinking on where to start the tale of chaos.
“To put it simply a paradox caused the dimensional barriers holding the universe together to shatter and that was how you were brought to Genesis.”

Zira ignored Maricul's cheap talk and held her ground until an unknown force pushed her away. She slid on her feet and managed to stop herself before being pushed back too far, keeping the Force Edge held tightly at her fingertip as her eyes never went off the Seductress. Though it was becoming increasingly hard to keep eye contact without being distracted by the beauty radiating off of her goddess form. It was so intoxicating- no! She couldn't fall to her power. She couldn't! Fortunately the conversation at hand would drag her away from such a struggle.
"A paradox?"
The worlds, the dimensions, the universe. Everything that has been reduced to sheer chaos was all because of some damn paradox? The ultimate beings in the universe couldn't fix that? Zira didn't pretend to be the expert on paradoxes but you think gods and such would be above such things, that it would be an easy fix for such divine beings yet here they stood with the grand design, defeated by a paradox.
"I don't suppose you know what caused this paradox or why the gods do nothing to fix it?"

Maricul saw how Zira’s eyes began to wander over her body and it pleased the living deity far more than prayer ever could. At this point The Seductress began to wonder if there was even any point to discussing the situation any further when it was clear The Firebird’s mind was distracted by the growing desire burning at her soul.
“Why do you try so hard to resist what’s natural?”
Maricul appeared behind Zira wrapping her arms tightly around The Firebird’s waist, bringing her lips down to her neck and brushing them across the skin, slowly kissing up and down her neck before moving up to run her tongue against the outer earlobe of her ear. She held Zira close to her, making sure she would feel the soothing warmth of her body against her back while pleasing her. Once she was done playing with the ear Maricul whispered into it, her voice sounding more alluring with each and every word uttered.
“Don’t fight it. I know you’re no stranger to “pleasures of the flesh” unlike your sister. How many men have you shared a room with? Five? Six? Why is it you shy away from me? Because we’re the same gender or my being an enemy in another life? I neither want nor desire to be your enemy, midear. We’re on the same side this time. That means….”
Maricul trailed off in favor of kissing down the demoness’ shoulder, continuing her sentence inbetween the kisses of her soft lips.
“You and I. Can reap. The same. Benefits!”

“Why do you try so hard to resist what’s natural?”
Zira opened her mouth to speak but it was interrupted when she felt Maricul's arms wrap around her waist and the wonderful warmth of her body touching her back. The Force Edge fell to the ground as the Firebird's body started to give in to the things the Seductress was doing to it, shuddering at her touch. Only a soft moan came out of her mouth in place of the words she were going to say previously. Zira felt a mix of arousal and disgust at herself as she made no move to stop Maricul, who reached her ear. The goddess' touch, her lips, the heat from her body. It was all too much for even the daughter of Mundus. Zira felt as those she would be driven insane with pleasure but deep down inside, she never wanted any of it to stop. Ever.
“How many men have you shared a room with? Five? Six?”
"Six!"
Zira groaned.
"Only six!"
Zira was no slut, those six men all had names and meant something to the Firebird. She didn't just open up her legs for any man that came along, a fact she would be sure to remind the Seductress verbally if she could do nothing else.
“Why is it you shy away from me? Because we’re the same gender or my being an enemy in another life? I neither want nor desire to be your enemy, midear. We’re on the same side this time. That means….”
Zira shuddered a second time, at the kisses on her shoulder. Her mind, much like Maricul's, was now clouded with thoughts of pleasure. The kind of desire you never told any of your friends about. Or family for that matter.
“You and I. Can reap. The same. Benefits!”
Zira was gone. In her place was a shell of a woman who just wanted one thing. Maricul was like a drug and just this one time....
Zira was giving in.
The Firebird turned around still wrapped up in Maricul's arms, folding her own around the Seductress' neck as she leaned in further to her warmth and kissed her passionately. Closing her eyes and allowing those wants and needs that has been floating their way up to the surface to finally come out. A tear was shed and fell down her cheek as Zira knew she was betraying her code of honor by sleeping with the enemy. But there was no turning back now.
She was going under.
