Species History: Kantin are a race of bi-pedal wolf like creatures of high intelligence heralding from the planet Amestria. Their technological prowess was similar to late 20th century Earth, although there are some differences in terms of weapons and whatnot.
Originally the Kantins were used as hosts for Predator hunts, but it became obvious over time that the Xenomorphs that resulted were far too vicious to be hunted for coming of age hunts.
The Predators more or less left the Kantin's alone except for special hunts where much tougher prey was needed.
A good number of Katins still saw the Predators when they visited as deities and their arrival, as rare as it was, as a blessed time.
Even though the Kantin's were In some ways technologically superior to Earth, they had yet to achieve space travel.
History: Wolf, formally known as Alex lived on the outskirts of one of the major cities. He lived with his aunt and her husband, after his parents died in a car accident when he was four years old.
Alex's world was turned upside down yet again when he was ten, when a Predator ship crash landed out in the desert. It crashed far enough away that not many had heard about it.
Two days later another Predator ship landed on the outskirts of the city, Alex had seen the ship flying over and went out to greet the visitors (Being just a curious pup).
He had just gotten back from weapons training, so still had his bo-staff on his back. When he arrived at the ship he was surprised to see a large group of Predators exiting the craft, numbering twenty or so.
This group was made up of Elite Cleaners.
The leader of this group, a elder, saw the young Kantin and was somewhat amused by the young one. After giving the pup a nod he turns back to the other cleaners and started giving out orders in their native language.
After all was understood the group moved out leaving a absolutely thrilled Kantin pup standing there.
Things went even more south from there, for only three days later the city was in chaos. The crashed ship had been overrun with Aliens, who had used the Predators on the ship as hosts, creating a force of nearly 30 Pred-Alien Abominations. After the crash landing these hybrids went out capturing Kantins before taking them back to the ship, which had become a hive.
Most of these Kantin were homeless hence why there was no immediate alarm since no one noticed them disappearing at a alarming rate.
The Aliens that came from the Kantins were bloodthirsty and ruthless, nearly as vicious as the Pred-Alien Abominations. As the Predators had known from thousands of years earlier when they used the Kantins as hosts.
In only three days after the Predators arrived, the city had turned into a warzone, already half the Elite Cleaners had been killed and the rest were fighting to merely survive.
Running through the streets, Alex was trying to stay ahead of the Alien packs, the day before his Aunt and Uncle had been killed by the Aliens in front of him, he had barely managed to escape.
Eventually he came up on an alleyway where one of the cleaners was fending off a group of Aliens with his specialized battle staff. After cutting down the last one, Alex, having noticed he was the one who had greeted him at the ship cheers saying "You got them!" The Elite looks to the young Kantin. The Elder was surprised that the pup was still alive. Then all of a sudden a Alien tail erupts from the shadows, skewering the elder through the chest.
Alex looks on horrified, his face spattered with Predator blood as the Alien withdraws it's tail as the Elder falls to the ground.
The Alien moves closer to Alex, who in futile attempt takes his bo-staff and holds it in a battle pose while stepping in front of the Elder's corpse. The Alien hisses in what sounds like laughter before striking the staff with it's claws, snapping it on two.
Alex backs up, only to find himself up against the body of the fallen Elder. Spotting the Elder's battle staff he grasps it in his paws, surprised by just how light it was. wielding it as best he could, due to it's length he slashes at the Alien with it, the sharp blades making short work of the beast.
From out of the shadows numerous hisses signal the arrival of more Aliens.
Alex figured if he ran he'd be torn to shreds, if he stayed put he'd be torn to shreds, either way he was looking at a lose-lose situation.
Figuring he had nothing left to loose, he grips the staff with renewed determination and faced the oncoming horde.
A block away, one of the other cleaners was trading blows with a Abomination, hearing a increase in death cries from nearby he uses his plasma casters to distract the Abomination then quickly using his whip to wrap around it's neck. Pulling tight the whip cuts the head off the Abomination and it's lifeless corpse falls to the ground.
The Elite runs across the rooftop and looks down into the alleyway. To his surprise, there was a Kantin pup with his back against the body of the elder, and in front of the pup was a slowly rising pile of Alien corpses. The pup clearly was exhausted and would not last much longer, it was a surprise he had lasted as long as he did.
Jumping from the rooftop the Elite landed next to Alex and began killing off the creatures alongside the Kantin pup.
After several more minutes the last screech fell silent and for now it seemed there would be a moments of piece, but the city was lost. Looking at Alex he points to the wrist device of the fallen Elder before making a explosion gesture with his hand, Alex nods grimly.
The Elite increases the countdown timer to ensure enough time to outrun the blast before activating it.
Turning away he gestures to Alex before running off.
Alex smiles in relief at the arrival of the elite. After the last Alien falls, Alex feels along the handle of the staff and by accident, his paws presses a button, causing it to compact itself, leaving just the handle and the tips of the blades exposed. Unsure what he had just did he clips the staff onto the harness that held his former bo-staff.
Watching as the Elite pointed to the elder's wrist computer and made a explosive gesture with his hand, Alex understood what was going to happen.
When the Elite turns to leave and gestures at Alex to follow, he nods before running after the Elite.
They both arrive at the ship just as the entire city is engulfed in a pale blue sphere of energy, after a few seconds the energy dissipates leaving a massive crater where the city once was.
The wrist device of the Elite bleeps and the Elite opens a 3-D holographic display, showing a map of the area at large, dots that were other cities were showing a detonation then the dots disappeared, signalling that the rest of the cleaner team had failed in cleaning up the infestation which had spread elsewhere, but at least they ensured that any Aliens in those cities were wiped out as well.
Looking at the Kantin pup, the elite seems to be in thought. He had survived for a fair while on his own. He had cut down a fair number of Aliens, his home was destroyed. Not that the last one meant much. Coming to a decision he gestures for Alex to board the ship.
Alex looks around, all he had known, gone...His family killed, his city destroyed, all he had ever known destroyed by these black creatures, they had taken everything from him. At first he felt pain, but that pain slowly turned to anger at the creatures. Looking towards the Elite he noticed the gesture for him to board the ship, but he hesitated. After a few moments of thought he figured he did not have anything left to loose and followed the Elite on board.
Alex watches from a window as he watches the landscape below get small and smaller until he could see his planet as a whole and even that got smaller as he got further away. Where ever he was being taken, he did not truly care, whatever awaited him it couldn't be any worse than what he had already suffered.
The Elite took Alex before the Adjudicators (Predator ruling council), at first the Adjudicators were reluctant due to the Elite having a habit of being sometimes reckless.
But after hearing the Elite's explanation of what had occurred they agreed to allow Alex to be trained, mainly due to the fact he had already racked up a decent kill count and his unusual fighting skill.
Alex discarded his name soon after, and took on the name Wolf, which had been what the instructors had called him.
Over the years he had passed every single test put before him, he had crafted his own Bio-Mask and armor, improving on some of the aspects of both.
He kept the battle staff of the Elder, and made it his own with a few slight modifications.
On his thirtieth year he had successfully killed both a Queen and a Pred-alien Abomination in the same mission and was upgraded to Elite status, due to his skill and his habit of working best alone, he was made a Cleaner and then led a very successful career.
In the years that followed he had killed a dozen Abominations, and over fifty Queens. He keeps one tusk from each Abomination he kills, around his neck as a necklace of sorts.
As a result of his very successful career, his trophy collection has put most other Predators to shame, with exception to perhaps a Ancient or two.
To this day he has a deep hatred of Aliens and has never forgotten what they took away from him.
Recently his personal ship has crash landed on this strange world after a completely unexplained systems failure. He now investigates the surrounding area for materials to repair his ship.
(Had not indicated where he crashed until I find a ideal place for his first thread.)
