As much as it pained her to say good-bye to the elderly couple, Aria Bennet found that she could no longer stay in their debt for long. She heard the Crystals calling for her, distant and far, and light even in such a holy place seemed both scarce and soft and weak, great darkness covering this and all the land she had seen.
She found herself soon wondering if perhaps Luneth, the silver haired Warrior of Light, would also come to her aid and protect her from this overwhelming feeling of apprehension as she wandered the streets of what the people here called 'Aircano'.
This place, she had discovered, didn't seem to hold the same equilibrium as her home, and the feel of the four crystals and their sacred light was, while warm and calm around her, faint and scarce elsewhere. Perhaps it might have been the shadow of her near death experience at the hands of Kraken, Fiend of the Water that now shook her faith in her abilities, despite having the four crystals' holy blessing.
"There is no Xande here, yet still I feel darkness covers me. I pray Luneth and the others arrive soon..." she spoke her thoughts aloud, long flowing blonde hair following behind just above the hem of her snow white dress, a face of purity and eyes to match. Save for the expression of worry and deep thought, her steps looked confident but careful, and each step she took through the streets were soft and inaudible as she apologized and excused her way through the beginning of a day in Aircano.
It wasn't long before she arrived at the steps of what seemed to be a massive temple, large statues raised high and the pavement far kinder to her soft shoes than the dirt had been. She was hesitant, however, to climb these stairs and perhaps meet the holy body which resided in this city.
She remained planted there, staring in wonder at the grandiose of the temple before her, and she held her hands before her in prayer to the crystals, asking for the strength to perhaps ascend these steps and indulge her curiosity.
