LRD ENGLISH
Special Abilities: English has never known defeat. In addition to his indestructibility, multiple incarnations of him exist simultaneously in multiple universes, making it virtually impossible to permanently end his existence. Despite these overwhelming factors, Calliope has stated to anyone who would listen (without giving it away) that he could be defeated, and that anyone who bested the beast in combat anywhere along his timeline, Calliborn, Lil’Cal, Lord English, wherever, than that would be marked as the beasts first defeat in all of Paradox Space and from that defeat, all the demon would know is defeat.
Other abilities seem to be his ability to survive the death of a universe (using host bodies and jujus; AKA Doc Scratch and Lil’Cal) which allows him to be ‘in two (or even three) places at once’ in a universe, himself as Lord English who had traveled back to the beginning of the universe, the host body which would facilitate the end of the universe, and the juju which would carry English’s curse into the universe to be used to create a host body.
When English ends a universe or dimension, he releases the Vast Honk. This ability seems to be tied to English’s former life as both Calliope and Calliborn as the Honk itself destroys the spacetime continuum on which that universe or dimension sat. Though these destroyed universes and dimensions cause no damages to their ‘neighbors’, the cracks caused in Paradox Space by their destruction allow Lord English to easily move to the next area.
Weapons: English owns a Cairo Overcoat, a large green overcoat where the collar on the neck and arms quickly vacillate between colors. This coat slowly becomes damaged overtime as English (or anyone else) causes damage to the spacetime continuum English is currently residing in. Once inside of a universe, English is able to turn this overcoat into a large sarcophagus, which then enables the demon to time travel along that universes timeline.
English also has in his possession his ‘sisters’ weapon, a green scepter that can vacillate between the shapes of a white magnum/wand or a golden assault rifle. English uses this weapon to disrupt the actual physical space of a universe he is wanting to destroy. Lord English’s aspect, Time, only allows him the freedom to control or destroy time if he wished, but Time and Space are connected and to achieve his goal of EVERYTHING, English has taken his sisters passive use of the Space aspect and just wants it destroyed.
History: A cherub begins life as a small green, snake like creature with a skull like head, with a ‘swirl’ pattern on each cheek of differing coloring, and a forked tongue usually striped black and white. Inside of the hatchling’s body, two different personalities mingle together in the body for a while. After their hatching, the cherub will consume the shell of their egg for it’s vital sugar nutrients. After this, the hatchling will pupate into a more humanoid form during this time the separate personalities split. About the height of a normal human teenager, the cherub will then spend it’s childhood trying to predominate over one of it’s personalities. Essentially, it must ‘kill’ itself.
Our cherub(s), Calliborn and Calliope, are the archetypical cherubs. They live in one room, a chain attached to each leg, one for Calliborn and one for Calliope. When Calliborn was awake, he could detach his chain and explore his side of the room, the same would go for his sister, Calliope. They were gearing up to play the game Sburb, for Calliborn he saw the game as way to escape this wretched planet, while Calliope was hoping for cooperation with her ‘brother’; Calliborn on the other hand just wanted her dead.
Using the game to facilitate his predomination, Calliborn hired a game agent, name Jack Noir, to travel to the moon of Prospit to kill the ‘dream self’ of his sister, Calliope. To explain, whenever Calliborn or Calliope would go to sleep, the other will wake up, and while asleep their ‘dream self’ would wake up on the respective moons of Derse or Prospit. Calliborn, while awake as his dreamself hired Noir to slaughter his sleeping dream self sister. Than, when Calliope laid down to rest, the green swirls of his sister became the red circles of him. The predomination complete, Calliborn, fully awake on Earth and asleep on Derse’s moon, had forced his sister’s personality to her dead dream self. She was dead. He lived.
Now the Lord of Time had to find a way to escape from his sister’s chain. With nothing more than a quick laugh to bare his fangs, Calliborn quickly bit into his leg and tore it off, freeing him from the last attachment of his sister. Calliborn would then proceed to enter the game universe of Sburb, into a dead session of the game. Sburb was never meant to be played single player and there would be no hope of creating a universe from this instance of the game, it’s meant to punish someone with the hubris to try. Instead, Calliborn requested an audience with the denizen of his session, Yaldabaoth, who considered itself the ‘god of all monsters’. Yaldabaoth was the denzien of any player that turned out to be a natural warrior, because Yaldabaoth would give these warrior’s The Choice.
A path of conquest. A path of sacrifice. Speaking, Yaldabaoth told Calliborn that all he had to do was nothing. Surrender power, walk away from ambition and welcome death. From this Choice, the sacrifice would benefit ‘all who will ever live’. In death, the player would later be in position to put a stop to a force of evil and destruction that was unleashed...
By the conquerors choice. From which Yaldabaoth would unlock the players true planet, which would be the most difficult to conqueror, he would need to subdue fifteen planets in a certain order, acquiring minions known as leprechauns to do his bidding, then Calliborn would be required to enter into combat with Yaldabaoth, but the boon from winning was even greater than any Hero could want.
The boon of unconditional immortality. No just or heoric death for this god. He would be a deathless god, (it is unclear how this would happen, since it’s even beyond the powers of the denizens of the game to bestow such powers) but this was only the beginning for one who picked this choice. The player would then be imbued with an unlimited amount of power to do with as they wish. Enough to destroy anything he wanted, for as long as he wanted.
And knowing our villain, anything he wanted would be anything, and as long as he wanted would be forever. Lord English was born from this choice.
Lord English would bring about the end of the first universe he encountered by facilitating his own entrance into the universe by causing its death. During his time as Calliborn, Lord English had found a doll named Lil’Cal on which he placed a curse. This ‘curse’ was essentially English himself. Wherever Lil’Cal ended up, English would be there and already have been there as well. Time shenanigans.
Lil’Cal makes his first apperance on the moon of Derse in a completely different session of the game with a boy named Dave. After a girl named Rose tossed Lil’Cal out the window, the doll lands on a rocket skateboard (no lie) which then PCHOO’s off to a meteor in the Veil. Lil’Cal would end up at the ectobiology lab that would create the human kids, John, Rose, Dave, Jade, Jane, Roxy, Dirk, and Jake. Lil’Cal would end up sent to Earth with the infant Dirk, who went to two different universes, a pre and post scratch version.
Lil’Cal, with Dirk as an adult, would assist John, Rose, Dave, and Jade, in completing their session to a point. During a battle with Bec Noir, Dirk is killed and Lil’Cal is taken by Bec as his new friend. Bec, with his new buddy Lil’Cal, would continue his path of destruction through the kids session until Bec uses a de-apperfier to send himself from the kids session to yet another game session played by a group of twelve Trolls whose session created the human kids universe.
Bec Noir would attack the Trolls, but not before throwing Lil’Cal at one of the Troll’s, named Aradia. Aradia was the Maid of Time in her session, so to beat off this sudden attack, this Aradia transported herself back in time... to get smacked by a meteor heading through a dimensional gate. This dimensional gate lead not only back to this young Troll girls homeworld, but also back in time when she was young herself.
The young Aradia would find the pieces of Lil’Cal, repair him and even give him a spiffy green suit. The First Guardian of this universe, Doc Scratch, was ectobiologically created by Lil’Cal and an object known as the Magic Cue Ball, which gave anyone the ability to look through it’s surface the chance to read the future. This Doc Scratch would be nearly omniscience, with some voids in his all seeing powers because, well, even the best time travelers still cause paradoxes.
When his time to die came, Doc Scratch could only be killed through the means of the death of his universe and to also bring about the entrance of his master into this universe. Using one of the Lord’s own weapons, Doc Scratch enables the Troll’s version of Jack Noir, named Spades Slick, to kill his long time rival, Snowman, whose lifespan is tied to the lifespan of the universe. Long story short: Spades shoots Snowman, who then dies, causing the ultimate death of the Trolls home universe. From this dying ember of a universe, Lord English would emerge from his body. Doc Scratch has always been an ‘excellent host’. Lord English, now in the Trolls dying universe, would time travel back to the very beginning of it, and through a long arduous process, bring about his own entrance into that universe.
From there Lil’Cal and Lord English would prowl through Paradox Space, slowly fomenting the conquering and destruction of entire dimensions and universes, getting anything he wanted, as long as he wanted. And knowing our villain, anything he wanted would be everything, and as long as he wanted would be forever.
