Many people have mistaken Eva for her mother, Aya, because she looks almost exactly like her. Eva has the same pale blond hair and gray blue eyes. Standing at about five feet eight inches tall, she is a little shorter than Aya, but many people can't tell the difference. When it comes to clothes, she'll wear just about anything that will fit. Whether it's jeans and t-shirts or skirts and tang tops, Eva just likes to wear clothes. Though she does prefer to wear clothes that will cover up her scars. During her many years of training, she has had some slip ups an mistakes that has left her with a few nasty scars. To her they are just more constant reminders of the abilities she possesses. One of the worst scars she has is one that starts at her middle and wraps around her side to her back. This was her own fault and she usually makes up stories about it instead of admitting it was her fault.

Personality:

Eva is interesting to say the least. Bubbly wouldn't exactly describe her, but she is a happy person. She is also a very outspoken person; whatever is on her mind usually comes out her mouth. Eva doesn't really believe in keeping her opinions to herself. If something is bothering her she will say something about it. This is probably one of the reasons why she doesn't have many friends. People don't take to kindly to the truth. Eva has been considered reckless. Like her mother she has the tendency to jump into situations when a person is in danger. It's almost reflexive for her and some call her crazy for doing it. Many of times she has gotten into trouble with Pierce for not listening to orders. Eva feels responsible for protecting people because of the abilities she has. But at the same time she is hesitant to use them. Her powers tend to scare people and make them very uncomfortable.

Special Abilities:

Combustion: This ability allows Eva to control fire. She can use it at her will and make it harm a person externally or internally. Internally, she can burn the air in their lungs or melt away their body fat usually killing the person. Eva can also throw fire balls or create a fiery inferno around herself destroying anyone or thing within close range.

Necrosis: This is an ability that deals with the body and taps into her true mitochondrial abilities. Eva can gather mitochondria in her hands and it releases as an electrical discharge. This discharge will hit her opponent and can do a number of things to them. It can gangrene the epidermal cells, gangrene internal organs, or destroy the bone cells. While this ability may cause some damage to the person, it may also have some lasting effects. A person could go blind or even be poisoned from her using this on them.

Healing: Eva can use a person's mitochondria to heal them. She can increase the energy production and by doing that it restores a person's strength. Eva can also increase the regeneration process with cells in another person or even herself. This helps cells regrow and wounds to heal.

Antibody: Using this ability, Eva pulls on the earth's magnetism and creates a protective shield around herself or anyone she chooses. Depending on how much she pulls, it will determine the strength of the shield.

History:

Even at birth Eva was an odd one. Being born on February 29 1992, she is technically turning five next year; if you go by birthdays that is. In reality this is her nineteenth year of living, making her nineteen years old. Now where she was born is truly unknown as well as who her father is. There have been many rumors circulating over the years but Eva just gave up on trying to figure them out. For the first five years of her life, Eva lived a normal life with her mother, Aya. Aya worked for the NYPD as a detective. She had a partner who was like a grandfather to Eva. Things were going smoothly, but then again this was only the first five years of Eva's life. Everything changed on December 24, 1997.

There was an opera playing on Christmas Eve at Carnegie Hall and Aya wanted to take Eva there as part of her present. The performance was absolutely wonderful and Eva was so excited. About halfway through the show, the star Melissa Pearce fell to the ground. When people rushed to see what had happened, everyone in the room spontaneously combusted except Eva and Aya. Melissa Pearce was no more and some grotesque creature seemed to have taken her place. Eva was very confused when Aya scooped her up and ran out of Carnegie Hall. Upon returning to their home, both Eva and her mother fell ill. It seemed whatever had happened at the concert hall was effecting the two of them. When Eva woke up the next morning, she felt different. Then again she was only five at the time, but she still felt different. Almost as if something wasn't right.

The following days Eva noticed her mother was gone more than usual and she was left with a baby sitter. For a five year old she had a pretty good understanding of her surroundings and what was going on. Her mother was gone due to what had happened at the opera. That much she knew was true. On one particular day when Eva was left home with the baby sitter, something rather interesting happened. The baby sitter was making lunch for the two of them at the time when she accidentally sliced her palm. Freaking out she ran around trying to find something to cover the wound. Eva approached the baby sitter and calmly grabbed her hand. A wave of energy seemed to wash over the baby sitter and suddenly her wound began to stitch itself closed. Eva didn't even know what she was doing at the time, but the baby sitter stared on in awe. When her mother returned home that evening, she explained what Eva had done. After that day, Aya took Eva to work with her.

Years began to pass and when she was old enough, Aya explained to Eva that they had some kinds of abilities. Aya didn't really know that much about what they could do but she tried her best to explain things to Eva. Eva though was enjoying this new abilities she had. She used her powers to heal those that were hurt and protect those in need. It wasn't long before she was at her mother's side fighting against NMCs,. NMCs are Neo-Mitochondrial Creatures that the being once called Melissa spawned. Though their abilities seemed to be the same, Eva's differed from her mothers. Eva's abilities could effect more than one person at a time. For example, she could heal two different people at once while her mother could only heal herself. There were many other differences that seemed to stem between the two, but Eva didn't mind.

A few months pass and Aya was asked to join with a new branch of the FBI called the Mitochondrion Investigation and Suppression Team or MIST. Eva, only being eight at the time, wanted to help her mother out the best she could, but Aya didn't wanted her daughter anywhere near NMCs if she could help it. In the end Eva spent most of her time training at the agency. Her mother wasn't particularly happy about it, but she didn't protest. With Aya spending most of her time battling creatures, Eva tested the true potential of her powers. She found she could do a number of things from making things combust to creating a shield around herself. All these abilities she refined and used to help her mother the best she could. It did come as a huge surprise when Aya returned with a young girl one day. The girl's name was Eve and Eva thought it odd how similar their names were, but she welcomed her new "sister" with open arms.

As Eva got older, she was allowed to help her mother more. Though there were very few remaining NMCs, the two always managed to find them. Eva's mother became quite fond of a gentleman she met during the last wave of creatures. The two had grown quite close and Eva didn't exactly seem to mind. It wasn't long before the two planned to be married. The evening before the wedding Eva went out on a small assignment. Something to do with a couple NMCs hiding out and killing people. When she went to investigate the claim what she found was beyond her wildest imagination. She had walked right into a nest of NMCs. The creatures attacked her from all sides and there was no way she was going to escape, but during her fight there was a blinding white light that engulfed the whole area. Next thing she knew, Eva had woken up on some strange planet obviously far from home. Some how she had ended up on Genesis and has no idea how to get back home.
