History:

Roxas is the nobody of Sora, and retains Ventus' heart, making him different from the other Organization members. He was born when Sora stabbed himself with the Keyblade of People's Hearts, and was found soon after in Twilight Town by Xemnas. After being named "Roxas", he was taken away to the Organization headquarters and officially inducted into their ranks. Because Sora didn't forget himself when he became a Heartless, Roxas had no memories of his former life, and in the first few weeks, he was emotionless and silent.

However, he soon was befriended by Axel, and began to be more lively. In no time at all, the two of them became best friends, and after each mission every day, they would go to Twilight Town and eat sea-salt ice cream together. Even after Axel left to go to Castle Oblivion, Roxas kept eating the ice cream, in the hopes of finding a Winner stick to give to Axel as a celebratory gift. As more and more members were erased, Roxas began to get very worried about Axel, but the arrival of a girl called Xion distracted him.

Eventually, when Axel returns, the three of them become friends, although Axel seems a bit put-off by Xion. However, he promises all three, that no matter what he'll always be the one to get his friends back. They continue to do missions for the Organization. However, one day Xion suddenly disappears, much to the worry of Roxas. Eventually, hurt and angered by all that he'd learned about the truth of Xion and himself, Roxas runs away from the organization. Axel pleads with him to stay, but Roxas' mind is made up.

The next day, he discovers a reprogrammed Xion who forces him to fight him. Roxas unwilling fights back to defend himself, and defeats her. He finds out that Xion did it in order to protect him, but now that she's been defeated, she's disappearing from existance. Roxas' memories of Xion begin to fade, even as he fights to hold onto them and watches his best friend disappear. At the last moment, he remembers what Xion told him, and sets out to take revenge on the Organization, even though he's not strong enough to defeat them.

However, before he can even get to the Castle that Never Was, RIku appears and battles Roxas. At first, Roxas has the upper hand, but after Riku unleashes his inner darkness, the Guardian grabs Roxas and squeezes him hard enough that he passes out cold. Riku takes him back to Twilight Town, where DiZ sets him in a stimulated Twilight Town.

When Roxas wakes up, he has no memories of his former life in Organization 13. He lives in Twilight Town peacefully with his three friends Hayner, Pence, Olette. But the appearance of the Nobodies once again sets everything off kilter of Roxas. He meets Namine, a strange girl who seems to know more about him then he knows himself, and Axel, who attacks him in the middle of the Struggle Tournament. Eventually, Roxas is led to the mysterious mansion in the woods, where he meets Namine. She tells him to find Sora, before being dragged away through a portal of darkness.

In the basement, Roxas fights and defeats Axel, after regaining his memories. DiZ appears, taunting Roxas about who he is, and in a rage, Roxas destroys all of his computers. Finally, he comes across Sora himself, and rejoins with his somebody, his last words, "You're lucky... Looks like my summer vacation is... over."

Throughout Sora's adventures, Roxas is often mentioned and remains asleep within Sora's heart, occasionally reaching out to influence or help Sora. Axel is also shown to be determined to defeat Sora and transform him into a Heartless, so that Roxas could be reborn. However, in the end Axel ends up protecting Sora from a horde of Nobodies, even at the cost of his own life. He remarks to Sora that Roxas was his only friend, and made him feel like he actually had a heart before fading away.

In the City that Never Was, Roxas himself appears before Sora. The two of them battle, and though the battle is close, Sora eventually comes out on top. Roxas only smiles and tells Sora that he is a good other. Eventually, the Organization members tell Sora that Roxas was his nobody, and Sora is saddened that he (Roxas) was never able to live his own life as he wanted to. But after Xemnas' first defeat, Roxas appears along with Namine and truly merges himself back within Sora, becoming a whole person once again.

Later on, within Sora's heart, Roxas gives Sora his memories and shows him all the pain he went through. When RIku appears on Destiny Islands, Roxas asks him a mysterious question before fading away once again. Since entering this world with Sora, Roxas is slowly beginning to grow more prominent in Sora's heart, able to speak to his somebody through their heart.
