Place of Birth: Britain of Earth
Physical Appearance: Saber, normally in his casual attire, is able to call upon his armor and weapon at any time. They form around his body and in his hand respectively in a radiant light.
Weapons:
Excalibur: Sword of Promised Victory
Excalibur's Scabbard - Avalon: The Everdistant Utopia (Always in Ayaka)
Accessories: ~~ ACQUIRED LATER~~
Special Abilities:
____Superhuman Strength
____Superhuman Endurance
____Inhuman Speed
____Inhuman Agility
____Regeneration
____Invisible Air: Bounded Field of the Wind King[/i][/color]
________Invisible Air is a sheath of wind that covers Excalibur and conceals it so that it cannot be easily recognized as the famous holy sword of King Arthur. Invisible Air is made up of multiple layers of wind compressed into super-high pressure air with a massive amount of magic, which distorts the refraction of light and renders what is inside completely invisible. Upon Excalibur, it takes on the shape of the blade and renders it as an invisible sword that doesn't appear even as sparks fly off of it. It lacks the capacity to annihilate the enemy like Excalibur, being more suited as a "sharp tool" in battle. It is also possible to implement the barrier on something other than the sword. He can form the barrier in the area around himself or as a quick defensive wall of wind, which he can keep active for a short time.
____Invisible Wind Slash
________With Invisible Air upon Excalibur, Saber is able to release it in a large blast of air by slashing forward. Since Invisible Air is used as a concealer, this ability can't kill, but can push back enemies.
____Lux Vera
________True Light - Saber stabs Avalon into the ground and shealths Excalibur. He transfers nearly all of his energy into the weapon, causing a visible golden aura to emit from it. Upon completion of the energy transfer, he unsheaths Excalibur, emitting a radiant light. The once normal appearing blade is now a luminous gold, still shining forth it's golden aura. By utilizing the magic imbued into Avalon, he reinforces Excalibur's strength and durability. This allows his blade to cut through almost anything he swings at, and deflect almost everything thrown at him.
____Noble Phantasm
________During True Light, Saber is able to unleash a large slash of golden light capable of wiping out almost anything it its path. This ability sorely drains Saber of his mana, leaving him weak. He is still able to fight, however only by removing his armor. This gives him some mana back to use on Invisible Air to continue to fight without the use of his other abilities.
History: ~~ CONSIDERING THIS WAS A CONCEPT CHARACTER THAT WAS NEVER FULLY IMAGINED, I'M JUST PULLING ALL THIS SHIT FROM MY ASS. BEWARE~~
As his name and weapon suggest, Saber is indeed the legendary king Arthur. He was declared the King of Knights during his rule. Of the many variations of his tale, a few things remained the same. These being his name, the sword in the stone Excalibur, his kindness, and his thirteen Knights of the Round Table.
The Round Table symbolized Arthur's trust and belief that his Knights were as his equals. This king's boundless kindness has forever been adored by many throughout the ages. It was however, to come to a sudden halt. One of half Arthur's blood felt ill will to him, and wished him dead. It was many years into Arthur's reign over Britain, Ireland, Iceland, Norway, and Gaul that a battle at Camlann ensued.
It was here that Mordred betrayed his good king. During the battle, Mordred decieved his king and plunged a poisoned dagger into Arthur's back. In retaliation, Arthur swung his Excalibur around and thrusted toward Mordred's heart, however stopping himself before delivering the killing blow.
Arthur vowed he would never turn his blade on his people. He showed everyone kindness, never punishing anyone, seeing that everyone in his kingdom was taken care of with equal kindness. This vow was his downfall. Mordred fled from the battle, leaving Arthur to die slowly. Several hours dragged by as Arthur gave everything to survive. His most loyal knight, Lancelot, was the one to drag him from the battle and commanded Arthur's forces to retreat.
The Knights of the Round took the dying Arthur to Avalon, where his Excalibur had been forged to try and recover. The decision for this was based on their people believing Avalon is where Adam had plucked the apple from the tree of Eden. Two days dragged by before Arthur passed away. The rest you could say is hostory. However, now is the time for the Holy Grail war, and Sir Arthur has been called upon by the Holy Grail to fight as a Servant.
Arthur's previous life was impactful on history, which labeled him as a "Heroic Spirit" to be summoned by the Holy Grail. Once summoned, he is a familiar for as long as he is boud to a Master as a Servant.
Servants are legends from the past, present, or future. Because summoning even one heroic spirit is a miraculous occurence, summoning seven in their pure forms would be beyond the Holy Grail's power. Thus, to facilitate the process, Servants are summoned into one of seven vessels prepared beforehand. These vessels are classified based on their primary roles. Heroic Spirits can be summoned into any "class" that reflects the abilities they had in life.
When summoned, Servants are imparted with knowledge of technology, culture, science and terms of the era they were summoned into, as well as skill in at least the language of their Master. And so his summon came to pass, and where he arrived was a modern day Japan. What greeted him was a young adult girl by the name of Ayaka Sajyou. Upon completing his contract as a Servant, he saved her life and chased off her attacker, another Servant.
Ayaka is a quiet and reserved girl in public, so Saber would often try to get her to open up by teasing her. He would remove her eye glasses and compliment her, causing her to become embarrassed. This is a trait that Saber has always had, even in his previous life. His kindness knows no bounds. That is, until he enters the battle field.
On the night of Saber's summoning, Ayaka was attacked by another Servant named Lancer. The reason for the attack is that Lancer's Master knew of Ayaka being a Master in the Holy Grail war. This person wanted her out with ease as to make it simpler for him to achieve victory. However, this Master nor Lancer knew that she would have summoned the most powerful Servant class at the moment Lancer's killing blow would connect.
This moment is when Saber's summoning was established, and the force pushed Lancer back. He appeared between the two in a vivid light. Turning to Ayaka with a solemn face, Saber asked "Art though my Master?", to which Ayaka responded with hesitation. She knew what was going on, but couldn't accept it. With the hesitant aknowledgement of the contract, Saber turned to Lancer with his Invisible Air and chased him off.
A few days has passed since Saber's arrival, and he has gotten used to the modern world. His manner of speech has greatly improved and changed to be much like an average person would. He and Ayaka have been getting along quite well regardless of their Master/Servant titles, so he felt he should tell her who he really was. The story came of little shock to her, surprisingly. The two haven't had to deal with the other Masters and Servents as much as they thought they would, so they decided to spend the time training Ayaka in proper magic.
During one of their training sessions, Saber had instructed Ayaka to open a portal from one end of the house to the other. This process was rather simple for a decent magician, however Ayaka isn't exactly your average magi. The two portals came together with such force, Saber and Ayaka were sucked into them. After some time the two had awaken to find themselves on the roof of a skyscraper, with many more surrounding them. "You know... I think you put too much clumsy into that one..." Saber stated jokingly.
"Shut up Saber! How was I supposed to know that spell would put u-" Ayaka cut herself short. Their gaze turned to the city that lay before them. It was an unfamilliar scene. Ayaka became frightened while Saber stayed cool as usual. A bright light surrounded him as he summoned his magical armor and Invisible Air. He walked to Ayaka and held out his left hand to her. "Come. I know not where we are... but as your Servant, I will protect you. I think we should find out where we are first, don't you?"
