Marcus carries what looks like a massive broadsword. The sword itself is lined with silver and has a supernatural blue sheen to it. The sword itself seems almost unbreakable and alive. The sword is a Grand Klaive given to him by Gaia herself in defense of the garou from the legions of the Wyrm.
History:
Marcus was born much like many garou of his tribe tossed into immediate trails of strength and cunning. Long before he could walk he was being taught what it meant to be not only Garou but also a Garou of Fenris descent. Marcus lucked out in being born into a pure Fenrir Sept so that all of the Garou around him were of the same tribe. Marcus learned about Gaia, about Fenris, and the history of his tribe. Marcus was born under what is known as the Warriors moon his destiny to be the most fearsome warrior Gaia had ever created on earth.
The first step for every young Garou is to be proven worthy of the Rite of Passage the sacred ritual that passes a cub formally into the Tribe and Gaia’s fold. Being a Fenris his trial was a trial of combat. Marcus was made to fight the Master Warder and once beaten nearly unconscious Marcus was sent into the realm of the the Wyrm to face his foe for the first time. Marcus was given no armor and no weapon other than claws and teeth. It was a difficult trail but Marcus prevailed dealing a kill bite to the neck of his enemy before falling to his knees in exhaustion. Marcus was a Fenrir Cliath, it was the first time his father would graps Marcus by the shoulder and call him his son.
Marcus would spend the next four years training and continuing his lessons on being a Fenris garou. In most cases Marcus was at the mercy of the other garou being the lowest of all accepted ranks of the garou. Marcus would clean up after the other Garou, go through combat lessons, and by in large be the work horse doing all of the menial things the other garou did not want to do or felt was beneath them. All that would change the day the Spiral Dancers invaded the Sept. Normally Cliath garou are not permitted to fight alongside the other Garou. That day it became every garou fighting for their home. Marcus would attack the Spiral Dancers head on doing successful damaging attacks to four of them before being rendered wounded by a Spiral Dancer of much higher rank.
For his actions Marcus would be granted a rank challenge to the rank of Fostern. Marcus would then petition to become a Warder, a protector and warrior of the Sept tasked with it’s defense. The Master Warder would put Marcus through another grueling trial before finally accepting Marcus as a Warder.
Marcus would be a warder for the next ten years patrolling the boards of the Sept on a daily basis. The new rank of Fostern giving him a little more sway in what his day to day duties would be as well as prompt the other Garou to treat him slight better than they did him as a Claith. Though to be fair there was not much of a difference. The first year or two would not be very eventful with nothing more than a few minor incursions with the occasional hunter in the forest. Then it seems that there were weekly incursions of Spiral Dancers, tainted Ananasi, tainted boars, bears and all manners of Gaia’s creatures corrupted by the effects of the Wyrm. Each time Marcus did what any good Fenrir warrior and took the fight to the enemy. Marcus slashed with claw and fang each time doing his very best to give more damage than he received. In some case he came out of an engagement unscathed and in others he would take brutal hits. Not once did he turn back from battle. Marcus lived by the Fenrir ideals of strength and honor not permitting any displays of fear or weakness to show in himself or others. Marcus soon earned the rank of Adren through his actions in defense of the Sept against the many attacks against the Sept.
After making Adren Marcus would take on the task of assisting in the teaching of the younger garou in addition of his duties as a Warder of the Sept. When not patrolling Marcus would go down to the cub cabins to teach combat to the new cubs, teach tribal lore to the cubs and Cliath. About two years into his dual role things would change drastically for Marcus. It would seem that the taint of the Wyrm was putting the Umbral realms at risk. Gate known has Moon Bridges were quickly falling to the Spiral Dancers allowing for the Spiral Dancers to pop in and out of the Umbra where they pleased to attack. Marcus was recruited by the Thuerges to go with them and some of the other Warders to push back the onslaught of the Spirals. Marcus readily accepted the calling to go into the Umbra. What Marcus found on the other side was something he never expected.
It would seem like Marcus and is pack were gone for six months and when everyone had lost hope of seeing any of them ever again Marcus appeared half dead about three miles from the borders of the Sept. Marcus was babbling incoherently about Legions upon legions of the most horrific sounding abominations most of the Sept garou had ever heard. Marcus would spend four months in a coma like state before waking and able to tell the tale of what happened under the watchful eyes of the Judges of the Sept. By the time Marcus finished his story two things happened. The first being that Marcus would prove worthy of the rank of Athro and Marcus would be tasked with forming a war pack to go back into the Umbra to meet. Marcus spoke in depth with the Sept Alpha, Beta, and Elder Council about the looming Wyrm threat.
In the end they decided to seek out the other Septs of the Garou Nation. Marcus travelled to three nearby Septs of mixed tribes enlisted there service to Gaia. A small Garou army was formed with Fenrir fighting alongside Fianna, Child of Gaia and the other tribes of the garou nation.
Once the Packs were formed and trained for the upcoming battle they all met back at the same moon bridge Marcus had used before to take on the threat of the Wyrm’s legions. The battle was a fierce one with Marcus’ war pack fighting side by side with a Fianna pack lead by a Fianna warrior of Elder rank. The two packs fought side by side gaining ground and at unfortunate times losing ground as some of the other pacts were pushed back by Spiral Dancer legions. During the time they fought together Marcus and the Fianna Elder developed a kinship with each other out of respect for the combat prowess the other displayed. They fought side by side, back to back, pack with pack slashing and slicing through Spirals and other creatures of the Wyrm. Marcus could not have been happier doing what he loved and making his father, his tribe, and Gaia herself pround until tragedy stuck in the form of the Fianna Elder being mortally wounded by a massive Scorpion like creature of the Wyrm. Marcus flew into a beserker frenzy slashing and swing out at everything around him burning with a rage Marcus did not know he had in him.
In the end it took the remaining members of both packs to bring Marcus back to sanity. Once the battle ended Marcus would go to his fallen friend paying his respects to the warrior in the way that a true warrior deserved taking his friends most prized possession his sword to give to his friends Sept.
When Marcus returned from the Umbra he went to the Sept of his fallen friend to give them the news and pay the proper respect to the Fianna the way the Fianna customs dictated. Afterwards Marcus returned to his own Sept with victory on his shoulders to be the conquering hero the Fenris were meant to be. Marcus would be welcomed home as an Elder of the Fenris Tribe in his new position as Elder Ahroun. Marcus’ time back home would be short lived has his actions in the Umbra against the legions of the Wyrm had caught the attention of Gaia herself and Gaia had plans for Marcus. Gaia would grant Marcus with the greatest honor a garou could ever be given. Marcus would face a trial like no other trial any Garou could ever face. Marcus would embark on a Legend Quest. To fail would mean certain death to succeed would be to reach the pinnacle of Garou society to be a garou of Legend rank.
The quest was to go into the Realm of the Wyrm itself and face the ultimate battle the General of the Wyrm’s forces. To do this Marcus would first have to get into the armory deep into the Wyrm’s realm to retrieve a weapon more specifically a sword capable of not only reaching the goal but of defeating the enemy. A Spiral Dancer of Legend rank in his own right Marcus had his work cut out for him. Marcus fought bravely deep into the realm of the Wyrm his goal ever present on his mind. Over and over again Marcus was burned by fire, nearly frozen but ice. Marcus faced being poisoned, being stabbed, being slashed, having dark rituals used against him. Every possible threat one could imagined faced Marcus every step of the way. Marcus nearly died so many times he stopped counting. There were times where Marcus had to stop and find a spot to lay low and heal. Marcus tried to commune with the spirits to aid him. Early on it worked but as he traveled further to harder it was to reach friendly spirits until it became impossible. Marcus’ journey would take him nearly ten years to complete.
After that time had passed Marcus emerged from the trial nearly dead and almost insane scars covering most of his body and nearly all of his mind but he succeeded in his task. Gaia would embrace Marcus as her favored Son requesting that Marcus join her pack as her protector. Marcus readily agreed to the great honor bestowed him.
Marcus would follow Gaia around serving has her protector, and her loyal servant. That is until a mysterious moon bridge was located in the umbra. A bridge that even Gaia was not even sure where it went. Marcus like a true warrior and protector volunteered to be the first to cross the bridge to see what dangers lurked from the other side.
