It was a shoot out, he didn't have enough time to stop the bullets before he was hit. A few on the arm and one more in the chest, silver bullets that were making his blood boil. To avoid anymore he jumped high in the air and off the building. He fell fast but something happened, a rip? All he knew was he fell in a hole in the air and into a very weird environment. Now he lay on the ground in the night as he pulled the last few silver bullets from his body. Each one burned his fingers when he touched it, but it had to be done.
Vayne laid there waiting for his wounds to heal themselves and finally stood up to look around. This place was quite odd, tall buildings that were higher thaan anything he had seen, the whole city looked like one big show offy marvel in itself. He could stand there for eternity amazed by it's glory. Of course he had always felt that way everywhere he went that was brand new, but this wasn't coming upon a kingdom in Africa or seeing the pyramids. This was like visiting something in one of those science fiction thingies he had heard about. Slowly he began taking his first steps through the streets looking for a place to sleep before the sun rose.

Luna walked around the city after another day at the news station, it was tiring work that was for sure, she had to pharaphrase everything that was given to her in a way that would give lots of ratings. That sometimes meant manipulating the facts, that didn't sit well with her, she knew all about news and if there was one thing she learned it was that the facts should never be manipulated. That was a fundamental thing that it seemed this world missed, she was saddened to hear this, but she needed a job and that was the only job that paid well so she had little choice, but to continue onwards.
Today she was wearing her garlic necklace, it was used to ward off an invisible species that seemed to feed on emotions, another magical creature that she and her father was after. She wondered if she would be able to find it in this world, she then turned a corner to see a male figure wandering around the town, he looked a little lost as she approached him cautiously, "Excuse me sir, are you lost? Do you need any help?" Luna offered politely.

Vayne was looking around when he heard a female approach. He glanced over at the girl with a smile not noticing his eyes were turning red with blood lust. "Actually yes," he replied, "I kind of just...appeared here. What is this place?" He stepped closer to the female but hesitated when he took in the scent of garlic, a disgusting scent. He stood a few feet away from her waiting for some kind of response. He didn't want to give away that he was a vampire his first few minutes in this world, so he tried to keep a look of disgust off of his face as best he could.

Luna noticed the blood-red eyes of the man as she stopped and took a step back, she had taken enough Defence Against the Dark Arts lessons to recognise a vampire when she sees one, her wand was in her hand instantly as she perceived the disgust on the man's face from her garlic necklace as a sign that he indeed was a vampire, "This place is called Kari," Luna answered as she looked at his appearance, "so...you're a vampire?" she stated rather then asked.

So he'd been found out? That made him smile a little, at least it would this chat a little less than aggravating. Of course he had no intentions of biting the girl, though his piercing hunger might take control. He hadn't fed in a few days and his body was used to indulgence in blood. He let himself relax, feeling the tenseness release it's grip on him and just stood with a hand in his pocket, "Interesting," he said cocking his head to the side, "Yeah I'm a vampire, names Vayne! Don't worry I don't hurt people!" He smiled at her, keeping a close eye on the stick she was holding, trying to be polite and not have that whole scary vampire look about him, "So are you from the company?" He couldn't be too cautious with company folk, they would kill him under a built up false pretense. Not only that, but that stick she was holding could be a stake ready to go through his heart.

The vampire didn't seem to want to attack Luna, she didn't know if he had fed recently or he isn't that kind of vampire, her grip on her wand loosened a bit but she kept a wary eye on him.
"Yeah I'm a vampire, names Vayne! Don't worry I don't hurt people!"
"That's nice to know," Luna said, "my name is Luna Lovegood, it's a pleasure to meet you Mr Vayne," she said politely.
"So are you from the company?"
"I'm afraid I don't understand your question, what company are you talking about?" she asked.
