Hide-Hand: Like many old blood he posesses the ability of the hide hand which is a highly advanced form of telekinesis. It allows it's user to move objects, manipulate them (such as breaking bones and making firm structures swirl like a vortex as if it were putty then return to it's regular state), and create a force field to stop bullets and projectiles.
Eye-raid: Another common power that simply causes it's victim to be stunned for a minute until it wears off.
Vampire bite: A bite from a vampire in his world will give the victim what is said to be the highest physical pleasure. They are also rewarded with being able to see into him if they're left alive. This is called resonance which occurs as the blood of his victim courses through him and calls out to it's previous host building a bond that eventually wears off. The victim can hear his thoughts and feel whatever he feels as well as being able to use this to tap into his own physical senses such as sight.

Vayne grew up in Scotland in the 1400's, he grew up in a small village close to the ocean. He learned to fish, hunt, and grow crops like most of the people in his village. During his teen years he helped stop the Vikings from pillaging villages and all sorts of awful things. That was when things took a turn for the worse. One of his superiors found his skills quite exceptional and took an interest in training him one on one. Vayne went through months of tasks and deadly missions, it was live or die. What Vayne didn't know was that his master was a vampire who planned to turn him. The teacher offered him a special 'potion' that was supposed to make him stronger, but it was actually his masters blood. Vayne drank it being too tired to think straight, he found his body in extreme pain and his teacher broke his neck so he wouldn't feel the pain of transition. He awoke, and was given the teachers other student's blood. Vayne attacked Viking settlements in the night burning them down and breaking their foundations. He wasn't strong enough to fight with the other soldiers in the day, so in anger he tore the Vikings into tiny pieces leaving them in the fields to scare off anymore that came. When the Viking armies fled Vayne went away with his teacher to Poland to escape being hunted.
It was only a short time before a vampire war broke out between the blood lines to prove which was the greatest. Vayne sired as many as he could to aid his bloodline, but he only watched them all be slaughtered by those much older than him. In rage Vayne retaliated by setting enemy camps ablaze and killing hundreds. People finally recognized Vayne as more than a stripling as he rose to fame in the whole land of Europe. The war came to a close as several source bloods were killed and all that was left was their descendants. Vayne left Europe to avoid being killed and severing his bloodline for eternity. He travelled to Africa to hide out until all the fighting was over for good.
Vayne was sleeping in a small hut he had built when several Africans captured him bringing him to their tribe. They planned to kill him, but he proved himself a powerful being by fixing their houses for them with his powers as they were struggling to do so. For many months Vayne dwelled with them, telling the stories of his 100 years on this Earth. He quickly learned their language by using eye raid to steal it from one of their minds. He told them of the Vikings, the grand war of the vampires, and his travel to their land. They thought he was some kind of great spirit who had come to bless them. In exchange for their hospitality he did just that, they returned by giving him one of the tribes beautiful women as his bloodbag. He taught them all about vampires so that when he left their tribe they would have the knowledge in case another came. He warned them that many like him were evil and would do them harm, and taught them how to use their aura so vamps couldn't enter without an invite. Why was he doing this? He grew to love these people since they were the only family he had at the time. He stayed with them a decade before he knew it was time to move on. When he left their territory he told them to do as he said by using their aura so other vampires couldn't enter. He left with tears in his eyes and the several gifts they had given him.
Vayne travelled to Isreal, trying to slowly make his way to present day Hong Kong where many vampires were believed to be gathering. At the time it was under Arab rule and well a boy from Scotland stuck out like a sore thumb. They thought him the devil himself when he attempted to impress them with his powers. The Arabs and the Jews there wanted him dead, but saw he could be killed like an average man which made them believe he was a demonic manifestation even more. They repelled him from the land with their incense and anointing oils. He couldn't feed on those who the oils were placed on since the smell made him sick.
Vayne fled East by night, hoping to avoid his haters. He came to Tibet and lived among the people there. He was seated with a large mansion since he claimed to be a God in human form and treated the people with kindness. He claimed to be a predecessor of Buhda since that religion was spreading like wild fire across Asia. He told them he was there in the beginning of time, and would last forever. People in that time were easy to fool even an illusionist, someone with no real power could make himself out to be some kind of deity, so for Vayne it was quite simple. Tibet was soon invaded and Vayne fled the country saying he must return to the heavens to aid them, but just continued into China.
He finally settled in Hong Kong among the other vampires until the late 1990s when a brand new bloodline made its appearance in the world. These were the Kowloon children, they could spread like roaches since all that was needed for them to procreate was to bite a human. They could even convert other Vampires to their bloodline. Vampires and humans banded together for one final war to rid the world of these parasites. A vampire named Sei had put a barrier around Hong Kong so the Kowloon could not enter without an invitation from one who considered the city their home. Vayne sided with the humans to help rid the world of this abomination. He set fires along the barrier to avoid any Kowloon who were invited in. Soon the fighting was quelled when a very well known vampire even more powerful than Vayne, but much younger, killed the Kowloon source blood.

They wanted to weed out all the Kowloon by killing any vampire who couldn't get through the barrier. Well known bloodlines could get through, most vampires could. Those from unknown bloodlines like Vaynes or the Kowloon or even the man who killed the Kowloon king could not enter without an invitation. He fled several times from the suppression team who wanted him dead, not knowing he wasn't a Kowloon. While fleeing once he dived off a building only to land in a strange new world without his old friends or allies.
