Age: 388 terran years
Gender: Male
Species: Astartes

Date of Birth: 586, M41

Physical Appearance:
stock image of dreadnought with two Dreadnought Claws, Furioso Pattern.
Tankred, Dreadnought of the Black Templars with Standard Pattern Dreadnought Fist and Assault Cannon armaments.
Bray'arth Ashmantle stands about twelve feet tall, plated in Holy Ceramite on an Adamantium frame. His dessicated corpse is contained in amniotic fluids, his head permanently affixed to a helmet-like protrusion from his Adamantine Sarcophagus; the Iron Dragon. The Dreadnought's body is covered with baroque engravings depicting Ashmantle's deeds since his internment in the Iron Dragon, and on the shoulders of his metal frame are emblazoned the Dragon's Head insignia of the Salamanders Chapter of Astartes and the markings of a former Brother Captain.
Image of a Venerable Dreadnought, a model not unlike Bray'Arth.
Ultramarines Venerable Dreadnought, armed with Dreadnought Claw and Heavy Flamer. Picture taken during rare military actions taken by Ultramarines.
Ashmantle's legs are a pair of piston driven servos, beautifully engraved armour covering what would be the shins and knees, and a similar carapace covering the normally exposed mechanics beneath his Sarcophagus. Both his arms end in Dreadnought Power Fists, appendages meant for grappling and slamming into foes. His dark-green armour is covered with numerous black highlights and gold decorations, and both a searchlight and smoke grenade launcher are mounted on his hefty shoulders.
Special Abilities:
Wrought by Vulkan Himself: Vulkan, Primarch of the Salamanders, the greatest of their rank and progenitor of their ancient and noble chapter, is said to have crafted the Iron Dragon himself. Whether this statement is true or not, the fact remains that Bray'Arth resides in an amazingly resilient and hardy construct. The Adamantium Sarcophagus has supposedly never been breached, though the Machine Spirits within the ancient artefact are remarkably tempermental and even volatile at times. Ashmantle was one of a select few who survived their internment.
Weapons:
Dreadnought Fists: Bray'arth comes equipped with two Dreadnought Fists, adapters meant for close quarters combat. They are capable of slamming, sweeping, punching, grappling, and crushing anything that gets into their range, and both come equipped with power field generators. These generators wreath the fists in crackling energy that eats through anything they hit, making the already dangerous fists a far, far greater threat.
Dreadfire Heavy Flamers: Integrated into the fists are Dreadfire pattern heavy flamers. Unlike standard flamethrowers, that ignite and spray liquid fuel, Bray'Arth's Dreadfire Flamers create heat through molecular agitation, spraying wide arcs pulsing dry flames capable of starting and spreading flames within seconds. The weapons are adjustable, spraying that heat in either a wide arc or a single precision burst. Bray'arth also has a number of secondary vents covering his frame, capable of expelling an unfocussed blast of this heat from his body in all directions, though at a considerably decreased range.
History:
Sokhar Bray'Arth, captain of the fourth company, Salamanders Chapter. He was Astartes, the Emperor's Finest, his Angel of Death, a Space Marine. His duty was clear: Protect Humanity and slay the God Emperor's foes. Though he had clashed with his brothers and superiors on tactics and doctorine, he had done his duty and served his chapter and the imperium with pride and valour. It was on the moon of Ymgarl that he met his end, though. Sokhar fell, a thunder hammer clenched in his hands, as he purged the moon of genestealer taint alongside his company, giving his life to protect his bretheren and their mortal charges from the xenos scum.
Sokhar's body was recovered, and despite his wounds he still lived, just barely. There was much debate among the higher-ups, as he was tempermental and confrontational, though dire omens and the judgements of Forgefather He'Stan and Chapter Master Tu'Shan led to Sokhar's fate: The Iron Dragon. Many who were thought worthy had died in the process of internment, unable to integrate with the temperamental machine spirits of the ancient relic. Sokhar seemed like he would join those lost souls, laying silent after an arduous ritual that pushed man and machine to their limits. When all seemed finally lost, the dreadnought twitched. The Iron Dragon was rising.
Bray'Arth slumbered in a drug-induced coma, like all dreadnoughts, for years at a time. He was awoken once, called upon during an incident known as the Casvsarae Insurrection. The taint of Chaos was detected on that world, and Bray'Arth was sent to purge it along with his brother Astartes. During the fighting, Bray'Arth followed several fleeing foes into the labyrinthine structures beneath the massive hive-city. He was not seen for nine days, long after the fighting had finally ceased. When the decision was made to finally send in a sortie to recover their wayward brother, Bray'Arth earned his Moniker of Ashmantle when he ripped through the stone walls of the duct workings, coated so completely in ash and soot that not a trace of his Ceramite armour was visible.
At the request of Second Company Captain Pellas Mir'san, Bray'Arth Ashmantle was roused from his slumber and sent to Badab, to put down the rebellious Astartes of the Astral Claw, Lamenters, Executioners, and Mantis Warriors chapter. Ashmante's Adamantium Sarcophagus was attached into an ornate chassis and dispatched to the front lines via Orbital Drop, emerging from his drop pod in a great wreath of flames and hatred. His fury and unrelenting assault lead the Loyalist marine chapters to several victories, but played only a small part in a much larger conflict.
Ashmantle vanished from his chapter not long after that, waking up on a strange and miserable rock of a world, a craven and despicable waste of cosmic dust full of mutants, abhorred heretics, xenos scum and foul Daemon vermins. A world called Genesis.
