"Stay back, Kyrie."These were the only words Sparda spared for the young woman. He continued to march forward, undeterred by the maddening sight before him. Inheriting the Nightmare had not broken him; this creature certainly would not succeed where Veran's haunting had failed. The devil cast a glance sideways at the mountain that was torn down by the elder god's assault, exposing Hallowton's innocent to behold it. He wouldn't allow that. "KARYOS!"The Dark Knight's shout echoed unnaturally, a hellish bark of authority. In the seconds following, the temperature across their battlefield dropped sharply... Suddenly, a massive wall of ice sprang up across the mountain, towering over a hundred metres upwards to form a barrier that once again hid Cthulhu's sight from the city. All the while, a new warrior joined Sparda's inexorable march. Beside him there came a powerful gust of snow, whirling in place beside him. From the ground up, a towering figure of ice crystallised within the wave of snow, matching Sparda's pace with its own lengthy stride. Karyos, the second of Sparda's immensely powerful Devil Arm familiars, marched alongside his master, frost spreading along the ground in his wake. The two approached the pitched battle unfolding before them, Relampago's ghostly legion clashing blades with the Deep Ones. "Crush them," Sparda commanded, with that same dark authority dripping from his voice. "By your command," Karyos hissed... then vanished. A pale white blur zipped over the top of the battle, nearly teleporting across to the sea from which the Deep Ones were emerging. A cloud of ice particles floated in place before Karyos appeared from within it; he had broken his body down, transported it almost instantaneously across the distance through the moisture in the air, then reformed. The moment he touched down, the sea itself began to freeze. The unnatural ice spread from where his feet touched the water at a dangerous pace, overtaking the rising Deep Ones and freezing them solid. It then rose to spread across the shore, crystallising even the sand with its mere touch. While this first assault took place, Sparda continued to march forward. He began stepping up onto the air itself, small platforms of magical energy forming beneath each footfall, a temporary staircase that elevated the devil above the raging battle. With the quickest preparatory clutch and a brief sweep of his right hand, he leaned forward and drew Force Edge from its sheath with a wide swing. A mighty thunderclap of noise followed the blade as a gargantuan pressure wave lanced off the slash, rocketing across the distance to crash into Cthulhu's torso and, if its force was great enough, carve a mighty gash across it.

Relampago had been the first to fall. As Kyrie attempted to heal the tall elf, she would notice that his physical state was unharmed. His mind was lost. For how long would be unknown. His plan to defeat the beast was lost inside his shattered mind. A new plan of attack would have to be made. For now Kyrie's talents would be better suited elsewhere as it appeared that Relampago would not be coming out of his incapacitated state anytime soon. The others would battle on to stop the God's planned destruction of the planet without him by their side. It appeared as though they weren't wasting anytime in doing that at all. Dracula quickly had made his move to attack Cthulhu head on. A sense of amusement over took the creature. It had been a long time since anyone dared challenged it. The God thought it best to humor them for the time being before the utter destruction of Genesis would begin. Cthulhu could feel the ant attempting to pierce its skull. Once the sword was inside its flesh, Dracula would notice that it was being pushed out by a heavy stream of blood. The blood of the creature covered the small area of its head where Dracula had landed and soaked his attacker in it as well. As the sword was pushed out, Cthulhu instantly regenerated the small cut. With the blood of Cthulhu under and on Dracula, he would start to notice that attempting to move was becoming increasingly difficult. His blood was actually using Dracula's own energy to increase the gravity on his body while at the same he would also begin to hear a slight fizzing noise. The creatures blood was slightly acidic. With Dracula held firmly in place, one of Cthulhu's tentacles raised up above its head and prepared to strike the small attacker. The swing of the tentacle was moving so quickly that it was actually forcing back the air causing it too appear like an asteroid entering the planet. Before it could strike Dracula, the God could feel the tentacle being severed. The severed tentacle crashed into the ocean causing a large wave. Ironman had caught its eyes now. Using its magic, Cthulhu aimed the tsunami directly at Ironman. Once again their teamwork would save each other for the time being. The tsunami that was meant for Ironman had been frozen solid. Another helpless soul joined the fray to die. It appeared to be an underling of Sparda. The mountain that was blown apart earlier was replaced with a mountain of ice. However the damage had already been done. The citizens that were unlucky enough to of looked at Cthulhu were still writhing in insanity. The only thing Karyos had managed to due was prevent more from falling into madness. With mountain of ice up, the still sane citizens began to contain the mad in an attempt to help stop them from hurting anyone or themselves. Though many were powerless, they united to help in anyway they could. The battle continued to rage on between the legion of ghosts and Cthulhu's army of Deep One's, but with the help of Karyos, the undead were able to gain an advantage. The Deep One's along with the ocean were frozen solid. The ghost army took the opportunity to slice apart their frozen foes. All looked well for the moment. Cthulhu started to raise its skyscraper arm towards the sky. Suddenly a large surge of energy could be felt for miles. The air was becoming so thick with the God's energy that moving would of felt like being underwater at the bottom of the ocean. No one could tell what Cthulhu was planning until one of Genesis's stars started growing even more bright. It wasn't pulling the star down to the planet, but rather it was actually grabbing the flames of the sun. Cthulhu was actually creating a small solar flare. The extreme heat of it came crashing down on the battlefield as it attempted to incinerate all that were near by. Sparda would see that power of his swing was crushed under the force of Cthulhu's solar flare. Sparda, Ironman, Kayros, and Dracula were each in dangerous range of incineration. Especially Dracula due to him being dicrectly at the center of it atop of Cthulhu's head. The ice that was holding his army was at bay was melted away by the immense heat. Luckily the ice mountain that holding back his insanity aura was barely out of range. The only thing that kept Cthulhu's army from being incinerated was through precise concentration of where he was aiming. Relampago's army was not as lucky. The energy of the attack blasted them all back to their graves.
Consciousness returned to Relampago. He could feel his body beginning to get some of its movement back. The ground under him felt like warm short grass. He slowly opened his eyes to be met with the sight of himself being on a small island. He quickly shot up to his feet and looked all around him. There was nothing. Just an ocean that seemed to extend forever, a cool and soothing breeze, and just one hunk of land to hold him. It was impossible. He remembered that he was fighting with Cthulhu and then there was darkness. A puzzled look over took his face. He paced back and forth trying to think of a reasonable explanation for what had happened, but he couldn't think of one. Walking back and forth was getting him no where. There was something else as well. He could see. His original mortal sight was back. In fact all of his powers were gone. He could feel no magical auras around his body at all. Even the power of his Thu'ums were gone as well. It had been centuries since he felt like this. Everything was getting stranger by the moment. Could the creature of banished him to another realm and robbed him of his powers? He sat down on a near by rock and rested his head on his hands. He felt so lost. He had no clues as to what was going on. "How in Oblivion did I get here?"Just as Relampago thought he was truly alone on the island, an unfamiliar voice echoed behind him. "How can you not recognize this place? After all, it is your own mind Valandil... or do you prefer to be called Relampago?"He shot around to see where the voice had come from. It was the sight of an average human in a suit with dark hair and a stern look on his face. Relampago had never seen or met the man before, but somehow the stranger knew who he was and what the strange world was. Hopefully the stranger would have the answers to what was going on. Relampago got up on his feet and looked at the stranger. "What do you mean this is my mind?""Cthulhu... It shot a psychic blast of information into your head. All information to be exact. I'm afraid your mind couldn't handle it all. Just look out over the horizon"Relampago set his eyes on the horizon to see thousands of images. He could recognize some as his own memories, but there were many more that looked unfamiliar to him. The stranger walked over to the rock that Relampago had gotten up from. He sat down and looked up towards the tall elf. "The closest way of explaining the state you are in would have to be a coma. Some of those images are your own memories and consciousness. The others are the vast knowledge that Cthulhu had sent into your mind all at once. You were up to something that made Cthulhu uneasy. It's very rare that it ever does this."It would have to be a coma. At least he knew he wasn't dead or banished some unknown world, but there was really no difference. There was still a chance for survival, but he still didn't know how he was going to get back to his allies. There were many more questions to be asked in the mean time. "Who are you?""My apologies sir. Where are my manners? My name Howard Phillips Lovecraft, but I'm more better known as H.P. Lovecraft. I am the one that created Cthulhu."

As the blood flowed down Dracula's body the Vampire King would do the unthinkable and absorb the god's blood into his own body allowing it to empower him. Though the pain from it was still there it was soon drowned out by the power and the insanity that joined his own. The No Life King truly becoming the Spokesman of Insanity once more as he flew back through the air like a winged beast, avoiding the flames that fell down from the heavens. His regular clothes gone and he brandished the armor of Vlad the Impaler once more. "I am Vlad Tepes."Strengthened by the god's own blood he swung his sword again, this time releasing an even more powerful surge of energy from the blade that threatened the very barriers that held the dimensions together. "I am the monster that grown men fear. I am the man that God failed to destroy. I AM INSANITY!"The energy headed straight for the skull of the beast. Looking to finish the job that his blade had begun while being engulfed by darkness.

"I-I can't heal him. He's in some kind of coma." Kyrie explained before hearing the words uttered by her god and quickly heeding them. Lifting up the upper body of Relampago and dragging him as far away from the battle as she could without having to leave it. She could still be needed for healing in the battle though she doubt Sparda would need it. Her eyes looked up to see the darkness that now shadowed Dracula. Not even wanting to know where he had gained all that power. Seeing the flare shoot down on the field, Kyrie held up her staff and created a shield of light to protect both her and the body of Relampago from being incinerated.

So the tentacles could be severed after all. While some would have seen that as a minor thing compared to everything else the god posed, that showed that the god was not invincible. Iron Man began to fly away from the tsunami just in time for the Sparda's underling to freeze it over. Iron Man gave Sparda a thumb up as he flew pass him, Jarvis detecting something else now coming down from above as the next thing Iron Man knew he was dodging flares that came down from the sky trying to burn him alive.
"Hot potato."

The vampire had absorbed the blood of Cthulhu. It was predictable for such a creature to attempt it, but then again who wouldn't? The chance to take in a God's own power and take it for personal gain was too good of a chance to overlook. Cthulhu looked up at Dracula as the vampire soared through the air above. The Elder God was becoming more annoyed at the boasting of its enemy, but underneath the annoyance there was a sense of admiration for the challenger. Perhaps once it layed wasted to the world, Cthulhu would add Dracula as one of its many underlings. First thing to do was to shatter and break the body and spirit of its potential minion. Dracula would start to here an inviting voice in the back of his head.
"Bow before me. Offer me your existence and I will give you power and place in my army."
The offer would ring throughout the vampire's head constantly. The more Cthulhu's words echoed, the more inviting the offer would sound. As time would go by the creature would start to look almost like an ally. It wanted to turn Dracula against the others. Its voice would be like poison in his mind just like the energy the vampire had taken in from the creature's blood. Though the Elder God's energy was empowering Dracula, unknown to him, Cthulhu would continue to remain in full control of it. This would become more obvious in Dracula's attack.
Cthulhu would meet the energy slash head on. It had about as much power as used to destroy the mountain earlier thanks to Cthulhu's energy. However the beast was prepared to deal with its energy being used against it. As the fire continued to rain down from the heavens, Cthulhu shifted the attacked and curved it to clash with Dracula's attack. The two powers collided causing a large sonic boom to rumble the planet itself. Slowly, Dracula's attack would be pushed back as Cthulhu's energy was reabsorbed into the creature's own attack to further empower its solar flare. The large pillar of fire covered a wide range of the sky as it attempted to swallow Dracula up in its heat.
Cthulhu would use its absorbed energy inside Dracula to restrain his movements. The electrical impulses of his nervous system would come to a halt thanks to the poisonous energies of the blood absorbed. The Elder God wanted the vampire in place to be incinerated by the coming flames. Cthulhu would once again send a psychic message to the challenger in an attempt to make him submit to the will of the God.
"Submit and I will give you full access to the power you have taken and more. You have only scratched the surface of the energy you took from my blood. Imagine the power you could have. Kneel and I will make you a King."
The tentacle that Ironman had severed earlier was springing back to life. The large object splashed through the water as it was begining to enter some sort of metamorphosis. It slowly started to shrink in size as it started to take the form of smaller version of Cthulhu itself. The monster was just as ugly as its father. The minion was very different than the Deep Ones. It was a different underling known as a Cthulhi. The wings its back spread as it took to the air to engage Ironman. The small creature flew behind the armored man. Its evil orange eyes glowed momentarily before shooting a stream of energy out in attempt to slice apart the armor that was protecting the man inside.
As the Deep One continued to pour out from the sea, they could hear their masters orders to finish his work and kill Relampago. With the Dragonborn's ghost legion out of the way there was nothing halting them from moving onto land. Hundreds made off the shore as they made their way toward Relampago and Kyrie. With Relampago still out of commission, he would be nothing, but dead weight through out the attack. The claws of the Deep Ones extended out as they raced across the battlefield. They were hungry for the blood of their master's enemies. They wanted nothing more than to devour them and tear their flesh apart in a feeding frenzy.
Relampago looked at the man with even more confused look. He wondered how a normal looking man could even create a God. It seemed impossible more than anything, but a man of his intelligence had to realize in a world like Genesis that anything was possible. He was eager to get more answers from Lovecraft. He needed to find out how he was going to regain his consciousness and how to implement his plan to stop Cthulhu. If the man had created Cthulhu then he would no how to stop the creature dead in its tracks.
"How does an average human create a God?"
"Because I wrote about it. I imagined it. I dreamed it."
"I'm not following you."
"You might want to sit down for this. What if I told you that there's a strong possibility that you aren't real? That in fact you could be nothing more than a work of fiction created by a human similar to myself or maybe much different?"
Relampago's interest was fully peaked now. He sat himself in front of the man and listened carefully to the words to come.
"Imagination is a powerful tool of creation. With it anything can become a reality... even our very existences. When I was just a normal man, I never thought that my imagination could create something so dark and evil."
"Cthulhu..."
"Yes. Exactly. To this day I'm still not sure how it happened, but somehow, it came to life or at least in another world it did. I didn't realize it until after I died that I created something truly horrific."
"Wait! How can you be dead? You're obviously not a ghost or spirit. And you're not an AI. So how can you be speaking to me?"
"I wish I knew, but from what I've been able to piece together, I exist in the depths of Cthulhu's mind as a 5th dimensional being. When I died I wasn't met by blackness, fire, or the heavens. I was met by the creature... Cthulhu. It was waiting for me. Looking at it drove me into insanity before it consumed my entire existence. For eons I've been alone. You're the first person I've spoken to since the last universal cycle ended."
"So this isn't the first time Cthulhu has destroyed an entire world is it?"
"No. There have been thousands before you. I've only been able to watch it happen through its eyes. The only difference here is that this is the first world in which it has met beings with powers similar to its own. It sees you all as a threat... If only you all had time to prepare..."
"Prepare? There are hundreds of beings like myself on Genesis! Some are even more powerful than I am. How can we not be prepared? If the whole planet unites then surely..."
"Your chances would be slim to none at defeating it... Which is the highest odds that I have seen so far. I've been watching the battle... its been toying with your allies while it waits for its full power to awaken."
"You don't know me or this world too well. Many of us have battled Gods before. We're more than capable. None of us will stand by and watch the world burn."
"I'm afraid if you fail, it will be much worse than that... Genesis appears to be at the center of the dimensions. Am I right? If this world goes then so will every other world. The destruction of this world will shatter the fabric of existence. The multi-verse will cease to exist. There will be nothing."
"There has to be a way to stop it. You dreamed it up right? You should know."
"Cthulhu has had eons to perfect its magic and power. I'm truly sorry for what I've created. It's impossible... "
"It's not impossible... I have a plan to drive the creature back to where it came from. Cthulhu has been storing the energy of our attacks in a separate dimension. All we have to do is keep that portal open and prevent our attacks from being sucked in. We can damage it and kill it."
"It's a good idea, but that just poses another problem. All of you don't have enough power to kill it... unless..."
Lovecraft paused for a moment and looked out into the horizon of Relampago's shattered mind.
"Unless what?"
"As I said before, Cthulhu attempted to overload your mind and kill you, but by some freak occurrence you survived. What I am about to suggest could very well destroy your mortal body, but your chances at stopping it will be much greater."
"Tell me then. I'm willing to chance it."
Lovecraft stood up and pointed towards all the scattered thoughts that had enter Relampago's mind.
"You must sort through all of the information that has entered your mind. Absorb the knowledge that Cthulhu attempted to destroy you with. Your spell casting powers will be increased to nearly infinite amounts. You can use those new abilities to empower yourself and increase the power of your allies as well."
Relampago also got up. To look off at the horizon towards his shattered mind.
"All that power... We could truly stop that monster, but how am I supposed to take in that much information in such a short amount of time?"
"You'll have more than enough time. I assume you know how dreams work as far as time goes. Correct?"
"Yes. A dream that feels like it lasts for weeks or years are actually just going by in a matter of seconds in the waking world... Wait! You don't mean..."
"Since your physical body is in a coma, you've already spent a long time in here. To be exact, you arrived on this dream island several billion years ago... It's only now that enough of your mind was fully pieced back together that you were able to gain some form and regain consciousness in this dream world. You'll have more than enough time to take in this information."
"Alright then lets get to work, but I want to make something clear... I want this power to be removed from me and anyone I share it with once Cthulhu is vanquished."
Lovecraft gave a look of confusion that matched Relampago's when he first awoke in the dreamland.
"But why? You're about to dedicate all this time to learning all this information and you want it all gone after... Have you gone mad from Cthulhu's aura?"
"No I haven't gone mad. Far from it. Nothing alive should have that kind of power. What would happen if I ever lost control, somehow I was corrupted or someone truly evil took these powers? There would be nothing that could stop it. Life needs to have some kind of balance. Its better that no one could ever achieve this. Under the circumstances though, we will consider this an act of emergency."
Lovecraft smiled for a moment. He had to admire the neutrality that Relampago maintained. The Dragonborn understood that he could do great good by keeping those powers, but also knew the evil it could create. The teachings that the Greybeards had taught him when he was younger still stayed with him.
"Very well... Then let the training and teachings begin."

I am [darkness]

I bring [light] ________________________________
Things had not gone well. Bound and limited to fight on the ground as he was, he could do naught of any great use. He threw himself into battle against the Deep Ones, Alondite's pristine blade carving a swathe through them until he had lain himself atop a carrion throne of slaughtered corpses, marching forth to continue battling alongside the undead army summoned by the strange man who seemed to have unintentionally started this. But despite his prowess, no great headway was made against the encroaching tide, nor against the massive beast itself.
Throughout the freezing of the sea by Sparda's familiar and its subsequent thawing by Cthulhu's terrible power, he had stood grimly by, watching with dread and cursing his inability to offer any substantial aid against the true threat of Cthulhu himself. His initial attack, while far from his full might, had still been a powerful blow. If he were to throw his entire strength behind a single blow, he might produce enough raw power to level the entire city he was now protecting, even without the augmentation it had been given before. But somehow he doubted it would be more than a flesh wound, if even that, to the terrible dark god.
But there was one thing he could do. The man -- the one now seemingly unconscious -- had said he knew of a way to stop this monstrosity. If that was the case, then he would need to be kept safe until he could awaken and implement his plan, whatever it was. And then encroaching horde of the Deep Ones sought to not give him a chance to recover and reawaken. Clenching his armored hand tighter about the hilt of Alondite, the Black Knight strode forth. And he planted himself firmly in the path of the Deep Ones on their advance toward Relampago and Kyrie.
He struck, with a blow like a bolt of lightning. Pale blue and white flame lanced from his blade, scouring a path down to the sea and beyond it, blasting apart beach and water for hundreds of meters, in a scorching path nearly ten meters wide, and utterly destroying and desintegrating the Deep Ones in the path of the mighty blow. "Your master would see those behind me torn to shreds by your claws." His sword swept forward to point at the sea and the continually emerging tide of the dark creatures. "You shall not."
He spared a look over his shoulder to Kyrie. "I will keep them at bay. Should any manage to get past me, do whatever you are able to keep him from harm." It went without saying, of course. And as he turned his gaze back forward, he lowered his sword back to his side, his expression was grim under his helmet.

Post by Sparda on Dec 18, 2012 7:43:41 GMT -6
While the battle raged around him, Sparda's gaze turned skyward. He stepped back, the marauding Deep Ones kept from his proximity by his rampaging familiar, whose icy claws froze their bodies solid with the slightest touch. It was far above the battlefield, though - far above Genesis itself - that the next threat had seized the Dark Knight's attention.
A solar flare was approaching, more than large enough to scorch the whole planet.
This was the truest testament yet to the awesome power commanded by the foe before them... And yet Sparda seemed almost unfazed. His face was the slightest bit impassive, a purposeful gleam in his eyes, before his features settled into a scowl of iron-clad resolve. No more games. It would take his full power, a caliber of demonic might Genesis had never before seen, to put this monster down.
Slowly, the devil's right hand settled upon Force Edge's hilt and gripped tightly. Around his body, the air seemed to distort and twist as if suddenly heated. His aura compressed around his body, lighting a glow of unnatural violet luminescence. It grew brighter, almost blinding, and the ground underfoot trembled under the force about to be loosed.
Finally, there came a mighty blast of violet light that darkened into crimson - and the devil was unleashed. The full force of his power blazed forth in an aura of suffocating density and incomprehensible magical might. Six wings burst open and flexed powerfully; cloven hooves blazed with hellfire; a tridactyl hand closed around a sword wreathed in energy; and eyes of the bloodiest crimson fixed Cthulhu with a stare that screamed of defiance.
Sparda, in his unhallowed true form, took a single stride forward and swung his blade skyward. A piercing, metallic wail followed the steel, that echoed into silence... In the space between Genesis and the rapidly closing solar flare, reality itself tore open. A gargantuan dimensional scar, traced across the firmament by Sparda's legendary blade, ripped itself open like the jaws of some cosmic terror bent to his will. Thousands of miles long and wide, the void gaped open in the flare's path, and the surge of radiation and heat that would have seared Genesis clean of almost all life was consigned to nothingness.
The abyss hung open over the planet, ensuring the last traces of the flare had been swallowed up, before it would be allowed to close. The Dark Knight himself gave a mighty beat of his wings and took to the air to bring himself level with Cthulhu's mad visage. The mother of all Judgement Cuts apparently hadn't strained the devil at all - and he hadn't even used Yamato to do it.
"I have cast down gods before. I will gladly do it again."
He gave another, almost casual swing of his blade, and from thin air came a torrent of hellfire that burned with the heat of the now neutralised solar flare, concentrated and bearing down in its entirety upon Cthulhu's massive body.

"Before God. Before Arashi. I caused more death and destruction as a mere mortal man..."
His face stretched in insanity, the No Life King charged straight into the Dark God. A force that would have obliterated another hurled the Count backward through the air, his armor destroyed unveiling the chainmail underneath as the blood he had taken in from the god began to pour out of his face and chest. Even with fatal wounds on his body Dracula remained afloat in the air, eyes of crimson staring at the beast.
"I am the king of Odilor. The king of the undead. I judged the Son of Man before my throne. There is nothing you can offer me that is greater than what I've already accomplished.
I am The No Life King!"
The ground shook at the roar of his voice as large spikes emerged from the earth threatening to impale the army that matched at Cthulhu's command.
"How long can you store our power into that little pocket dimension of yours?"
The vampire stated, revealing what his plan was by drinking the god's blood all along.

"I... Can't... hold this much... longer!" Grunted Kyrie as she battled to keep the flames away with her shield. It had been foolish to even go for a block in the first place but she had acted solely out of instinct, and her instinct said block. Block and protect the man who cannot fend for himself. There was no time to pick up the man and move him away. Seeing that her barrier wasn't going to hold the White Mage thought quickly on her feet and twisted the shape of the light barrier to redirect the fire towards the swarm that came from the ocean. Using the beast's own flames against him to wipe out his army.

Iron Man detected the Cthulhis that was tailing him and the chase began as he continued to soar through the air, spinning around to avoid the energy they fired before flying straight up into the air. Prompting the Cthulhis to follow suit and right as Iron Man detected the dimensional disturbance, he took a sharp left turn in the air and led the monsters directly into the path of Sparda's Judgment Cut.

Racing towards the battlefield, Xukas shudders as he feels the massive disturbance that was being generated by the massive creature in the distance 'What the hell is that thing? He ponders .
Arriving at the shoreline Xukas stops in his tracks. staring out at this creature he gives a laugh "Well, this thing is bigger than Bahamut Sin..." Looking at the other beings battling this creature: a creature of power and age, a unusual knight clad in black armor. A normal human in some kind of power suit, and others he could sense.
Drawing his sword out, Xukas decides to see just what he was up against. Focusing his energy, his blade starts to glow a bright blue with transparent energy. Giving a yell he slices his sword across, sending a wave of pure primal energy at Cthulhu. He watches as the wave moves closer to the beast. Xukas stands and waits to see exactly what effect the attack had before beginning his assault in earnest.

Late to the party, three corridors of darkness opened next to Kyrie. Stepping out of it would be Kuxir, former rank XV to Organization XIII and perhaps a member of Hellsing in the near future. He was joined by his two dark knight Nobodies, Oxion and Ixion. The power he felt here was maddening, and it almost made him laugh. Not a real laugh, he could never experience this. However he can have somewhat satisfaction by killing this God.
Right now he was nowhere near the power of the god let alone Dracula or Sparda. This will soon change. He nodded toward his two loyal bodyguards and they jumped into battle, aiming to assist the others in battle. He summoned the Keyblade of People's hearts to his hand and pointed the tip toward his heart and plunged it deep into himself. One might expect instant death, with the keyblade's tip sticking out his back. This was not the case, for he had plunged the blade into his soul's heart, not his anatomatical heart.
"Don't be afraid", he told himself, though he could not experience fear. He plunged it deeper and grunted in hollow pain. It was.. a strange experience. Never before had he ever felt such a deep, seeping pain. He urged himself forward turning the keyblade halfway clockwise. The effects were immmediate. His body took on an unearthly golden glow, and his body became more muscular and taller, and his hair spiked to resemble that of Xemnas's appearance. The pain worsened, but he kept going, with a shaky voice he told himself again with his new voice that resembled Xemnas's, "And do not forget, for when you stand closer to the light...."
He quickly turned the Keyblade within himself 360 degrees counter clockwise and pulled it loose, dismissing the Keyblade into darkness. Dark power poured out of the Gaping wound in his chest and his screamed in absolute suffering. The golden glow that enveloped him was now gone, replaced by an eery black aura that obscured him from everybody. When the blackness cleared, the man that was Kuxir was Completely changed. He had a more musclular frame than the one he had before, and had long, smooth silver hair rather than his once spikey and unruly hair. His skin was tanned rather than pale. His blindfold had fallen off during the transformation, revealing bright glowing orange eyes. His transformation change him from the soul to his body, even his eyes. He could now see rather than live a blind existence. The world wasn't as beautiful as he once thought, but that did not matter now, stopping the god did.
In power, He was still outmatched, that much he sensed. Sparda's and Dracula's also exceeded him, but Dracula's power did not exceed him by much. However it wasnt power that would decide this battle, but numbers. Kuxir raised his hands toward the god as hundreds of Corridors of darkness appeared behind him, leaving an army of Dark Knight Nobodies to aid him. With a smirk on his face he finished his sentence, his voice having changed since his last transformation. "... your shadow also grows."

The battle that would decide the fate of the planet raged on. There could be no mistaking that some of the most powerful beings on all of Genesis were there to destroy the beast. What some of them would not realize is that the battle with Cthulhu was more than just a fight for Genesis itself, but all of existence. The Elder God needed to be stopped no matter what the cost and the few individuals who came were prepared just for that. Each of their backgrounds and personal goals may of been different, but each of them shared one thing in common... the desire to destroy Cthulhu and save the world that each of them had claimed as their home. As Relampago still layed unconscious, Kyrie and The Black Knight stayed by his side to defend him from the endless waves of the Deep Ones. They were hell bent on tearing apart his body. They were like thralls with no concern over their well being. The only thought in their head was to kill in the name of their master. As they continued to close in on their prey, The Black Knight stepped up to put the endless army down with a swing of his blade. The bright slash ripped through hundreds of the sea like creatures. The Deep Ones that were not destroyed by The Black Knight's swing were incinerated due to the quick thinking of Kyrie redirecting the solar flare right into their enemies. The combined attack barely missed the Elder God. The ocean flew into the air like in story of how Moses split it for his people to walk across before being evaporated from the heat of the solar flare. Once again Cthulhu's army had been slowed down. It was enough to gain the attention of the monster. It looked down to see its slaves in ashes or in pieces. It was time to make things more difficult for Relampago's defenders. The Elder God began to use its magic to reform each and every Deep One that had been destroyed so far. Its focus was down to the atomic level. Cell by cell, Cthulhu brought each of its creatures back from the brink of Hell. The Deep Ones had served their purpose, but there was no point in continuing to send in cannon fodder. It was time for its minions to evolve to better combat the would be saviors of Genesis. The revived Deep Ones roared in unison. Their loud yells could be heard for miles on end. Slowly their bodies began to morph as a dark red aura surrounded their changing bodies. Slowly they began to resemble the monsters that were chasing Ironman. Cthulhu was using its magic to transform the Deep Ones into the Cthulhi. Their glowing red eyes lit up the ground as they stared at their prey. While the dead Deep Ones were replaced with the Cthulhi, the returning ocean allowed more of the Deep Ones to continue marching on out. It was as if the lost city of R'Yeh had been transported under the oceans when Cthulhu arrived. Hundreds of the Cthulhi took to the sky in random directions. They were much smarter now. Separated and much harder to attack than the Deep Ones, they silently received their orders from their master. A small group of the Cthulhi broke off from the rest of their brethren and flew past the ice wall. Their destination was Hallowton itself. The other Cthulhi remained to engage their master's enemies. Dozens more flew back and forth past the Black Knight Kyrie. Each of them took pot shots with powerful energy blasts from their glowing red eyes. At the same time, the returning Deep Ones charged forward again. The battalion of monsters could not forget about Sparda's pet, Karyos. The remaining Cthulhi that weren't preoccupied began to use the magic of fire to combat the icy creature. Streams of flames poured out from their tentacled mouths as they attempted to melt their foe. Meanwhile on the battlefield, the two powerhouses Sparda and Dracula were directly combating Cthulhu itself. With Cthulhu's power continuing to rise even further, The Legendary Dark Knight transformed revealing his true form. Now Cthulhu would have to deal with two powered up warriors. The Elder God could see the now transformed Sparda preparing to launch his attack. At first it appeared Cthulhu would be the recipient to the mighty blast. With all that power stored up in his swing Cthulhu would have to be the target, but no. The blast was directed into the heavens. The attack flew past Cthulhu's head into the sky. For as far as anyone could see, a large scar in the fabric of reality had been split open. The large scar in the sky stopped the continuous rain of fire from pouring down on Genesis. Before Cthulhu could seal up the scar in reality to allow its attack to continue, Dracula interfered. A small hole could be seen in the chest cavity of the God where Dracula had charged into head first. As quickly as the damage was done, it was instantly regenerated. While the vampire continued to boast, Cthulhu's tentacles stretched out and began to cut open reality in many spots in the sky. The solar flare that had been sent away by Sparda reemerged. Though the fire was more concentrated and not as large as before, it was still a large enough to consume anyone foolish enough to be caught in the way. The returning flames would chase after Dracula while Cthulhu dealt with Sparda's next incoming attack. Once again, Cthulhu would raise up its monstrous hand as Sparda took to the sky to launch his attack. The blast coming down towards Cthulhu was just as big as the God himself. Not too far off from where they were at, Ironman could be seen being pursued by the Cthulhi. The skillful pilot of the suit attempted to fool the monsters into flying directly into Sparda's attack. A cunning strategy, but they would not be fooled so easily. Just before they could be torn apart by the powerful energy blast, they pulled up just barely avoiding the attack. They sped up thier pursuit of Ironman before one of the monster's extended its tentacles to grab onto the armored warrior's leg. The Cthulhi that latched on with its tentacle would pull back to slow Ironman down while the others in pursuit readied their claws to rip the Man from the Iron. With its bare clawed hand, Cthulhu caught Sparda's attack. The blast lingered in its hand as the power of the attack was shaking apart the ground. Cthulhu prepared to launch the attack back at Sparda and to add its own energy in, but before the Elder God could, another soul came into the fray. Without even announcing his presence, the stranger was already sending in his attack. Cthulhu quickly took control of Sparda's attack and redirected it to collide with Xukas. The power of the blast consumed Xukas attack and continued to head straight for the newcomer in attempt to swallow him whole. They exchange left Cthulhu with a smoking hand. Just when it was thought no one else would join the fight, another set of warriors appeared to even the odds. Three portals opened and three figures emerged. The two weaker ones jumped away from what appeared to be their leader, but he was no cause for concern. Cthulhu paid no attention until the man transformed and summoned another army to replace the one that Relampago had lost. Their numbers were continuing to grow at a rapid rate, but there was no cause to alarm. It wasn't the first time the beast ran into resistance. Everyone always resisted. Genesis had no shortage of heroes, but it was going to take much more than that to bring the Elder God to its knees. The Elder God pointed its arms to the ocean and spoke. Its loud voice carried over the battlefield for all of them hear. "Foolish beings. Your extinction is inevitable. You exist because I allow it, and you will end because I demand it. But for now, I will show you all true despair..."With the God's hands pointed towards the ocean, a dark sense of blackness began to consume the area. An void of infinite evil could be felt rising from the ocean. It was enough to make anyone with a weak enough will become nothing, but a corpse. From that darkness came several enormous creatures nearly as big as Cthulhu itself. The spawns of Cthulhu emerged from the ocean ushering in a new wave of darkness. The energy each of them produced made the gravity of the battlefield feel like the deep ocean. Ghatanothoa Ythogtha Zoth-Ommog The sons of Cthulhu came forth. If one Elder God was enough to keep the warriors of Genesis busy then how would they deal with three more? Cthulhu wanted the satisfaction of bringing each of them down to their lowest. The combined power of the Elder Gods was too much. Their presence alone was putting a strain on the planet's life force. The Elder Gods roared to let their presence be known through out all of Genesis. The roar of power would even enter the Downward Spiral and echo across all worlds. The end of existence had come and the dawn of an empty void would begin. Back at Hallowton, citizens were in a panic as word was going around about what was happening. The Cthulhi that broke off from the fight earlier were on their way to the city. Chaos was beginning to take over as law and order was quickly falling apart. People were in a panic, but the few that stood calmly by would rally them all together in the Eleventh Hour. Behind all the shouting and screaming of horror, one voice yelled out to them to be silent. His voice carried much weight to get the attention of everyone in the area. He was no one special however. Just a normal man dressed in plain clothes. He got to high enough ground where everyone could see him. "What do you all think you're doing? Panic...? Chaos...? Is this who we really are. A bunch of children who can feel nothing, but fear? This has gone on for too long. We've been attacked, poisoned, we've rioted against ourselves. I Say No more! No more divisions! No more attacks! I say we unite! This our country and our home! The fear in the people was slowly turning into anger. The man had a point. It seemed like Hallowton was always under siege while a few would clean up the mess for them. It had to stop. The man continued to speak as the people listened. "I for one don't care anymore... I don't care if I die! But I say if we're gonna die That We Go Down Fighting To The Very End! Grab up your arms and stand together! This is our city! We make our stand today and end the chaos that has plagued our land!"Where there was originally fear, there was now hope. Each and every individual in town began spreading word of their new found fighting spirit. The town was spreading it like wildfire and like a fire it burned with a powerful intense heat. Many of the people who could fight met outside the city to wait for the incoming monsters. The citizens weren't cut out as fighters, set up medical bays for the injured to come. While the powerful warriors of Genesis stood against the Elder Gods, the average person would prove their worth and defend their homes no matter what. "How long has it been...? Eons now..."While time may of been progressing normally on the outside world, in Relampago's mind, it had been forever. The small little island he had been confined to had grown. The world in his mind was a representation of the things he knew. First the island became a town, then a city, then a country, a world, a solar system, a galaxy, and finally a universe. There was so much knowledge to take in from the eons of existence. He felt disconnected from everything, but as he floated through the space of his mind, his omnipotence grew. His mind was now powerful enough to create an entire universe in his head and focus in on every single atom in it. Nothing was beyond his understanding. Thousands upon thousands of spells had been learned. The secrets of the known and unknown universe poured into him. As Relampago floated through the infinite universe of his mind, Lovecraft appeared before him. "Cthulhu has summoned his sons into the battle. Its power is still rising."Relampago said nothing. It was hard to tell whether or not he had retained his sanity or if his mind had reached some new form of understanding. After a few moments he spoke. "... I have walked across the surface of the sun. I have seen the inner workings of the gas giant planets without being crushed by their gravity. I have traveled lightyears to build my knowledge to infinite levels. For several eons I have waited to gain the power to return and stop your creation and restore balance. I have learned all that I can. There is nothing that can escape my sight.""...Are you ready?"Relampago had his back turned to Lovecraft the whole time while speaking, but after another few moments of not saying anything he smiled. He turned around to reveal his now long white hair and long white beard. He aged so much with in his mind and ascended into a form of Godhood. Despite his rise he never forgot what it was all for. To save existence from a darkness that could not be killed. "I am ready..."

Xukas's face portrays his annoyance as his own attack is swallowed by the hellfire of Sparda's re-directed attack. But he has little time to dwell on how annoying this Cthulu is, as the attack is heading right for him. Exhaling calmly the blue pelted felinoid looks as the blast as if watching in slow motion, before running out of the way at a alarming speed.
At a safe distance yet still in the battle, Xukas calms his mind as he begins to draw on his primal energy.
He could feel the strain the planet was under with the emergence of the creature's offspring. "This battle cannot be dragged out, the planet will not be able to handle it."
Transparent blue energy pours out from the felinoid and engulfs his entire body. As his continues his draw on primal energy it begins to pulsate outwards. When Xukas opens his eyes, he looks at Chtulu with a gaze that was cold as ice. "Time to Send this Creature back to the hell it came from."
Using his energy he leaps into the air, sword in paw then rushing forward towards Cthulu itself. He knew that the offspring were merely diversions to buy time, to end this Cthulu itself needed to be stopped. Stopping in mid air close to Cthulu, Xukas channels all the power he had gathered into a single sword swing, sending it all in a huge wave of primal energy towards Cthulu. He hoped the others would join suit to strengthen the level of the attack to a point where Cthulu could not deflect it.
