[Chloe/Kat]

"Empress?"

Empress Chloe didn't sound right to Kat, and murder wasn't something the Chloe she knew did. Kat started to wonder if this were even the same Chloe at all, but Genius had recognized the picture so who else could it be? Kat's thoughts automatically went to Chloe's defense, assuring herself that if Chloe took a life it must have been for good reason. At least, that's what she wanted to believe. Finding out someone you loved was a murder wasn't exactly an easy thing to hear from anyone.

"I think I'm ready to see my room now."

Nadia and Rebecca had heard only bits and pieces about what happened in the desert, Rebecca was surprised to find that Chloe murdered the former empress and had usurped her throne. She didn't think that someone was capable of that, nor did Kat either as she sounded completely surprised as she then told them that she was ready to see her room. "Okay let's go," Rebecca said as Nadia and her saluted again before leading Kat to her room.

[Chloe/Kat]

"Thank you for your help."

Kat turned away from Genius and followed Nadia and Rebecca to where she would be staying within the Resistance base. Still thinking over what she had recently learned and flabbergasted over it all. She decided that for the well-being of her own sanity that striking up a conversation with the two women were needed.

"So tell me, how did you two end up together?"

[Mewtwo]

"So tell me, how did you two end up together?"

"Ah well...there's a funny story to that," Nadia began, "as you probably know the two of us are from different worlds though we've gone through similar things sort of."

"I think you got the normal side of the bargain," Rebecca cut in.

"I rather be fighting zombies and madmen then fighting aliens thanks," Nadia huffed, ""anyways both of us didn't meet until I stumbled across some Vulture soldiers beating up a civilian. Being the good soldier I was I attacked them to save the civilian and got wounded in the shoulder for my trouble though I sent the Vulture soldiers packing, it was at that time that Rebecca was exploring the area and happened to come across me. Rebecca used to be a medic for her special police force so she patched me up pretty quickly, we both decided that it was better to stick together cause I need to get bandaged up pretty frequently while Rebecca needed someone who can fight like a wildcat. Since then we've been a team and gone through lots of things," Nadia explained.

"That's a short summary, but yes that's pretty much how it happened," Rebecca added in.

Zombies? Aliens? Kat ran a finger across her temple and massaged it lightly at all of this information. She couldn't say she had experienced either thing that wasn't a film, TV show, book or video game. But she did have her fair share of odd occurrences before coming here. It was hard to forget about the vampire who led her on the path of finding her sister in the first place. To think that was probably the least weirdest thing she's seen since coming to Genesis.

"The strangest thing I've seen before coming here was a vampire. I couldn't tell you if zombies or aliens exist, or are even possible in my world."

Nadia laughed at that, "Trust me, if I told anyone else what I just told you I would've been laughed at and thought I was crazy. Hell even back in my world I didn't know if what I just went through was real, it was like a nightmare sometimes, but hey each world has it's own strange things and a vampire is nothing compared to what Genesis has in store in other parts of the world," she said.

Kat would have been laughed at in her own world as well for such a story, maybe even committed. It wasn't something she wanted to think about. All Kat wanted to do was find her sister and go home. Forget that any of this even happened. If that was even possible.

"What do you mean by that? What all does Genesis have in store?"

What do you mean by that? What all does Genesis have in store?"

"Oh Genesis has lots of things in store and not just vampires and evil warlords. We have a couple of Gods rampaging around here, monsters in the desert, uh...we recently had a virus decimate a city, and cities being rebuilt and destroyed," Nadia said flippantly as Rebecca scowled.

"What she means is that Genesis is a dangerous planet, you can never know what to expect in this world, so it's best to be careful and try to stick to one place or organisation for safety," Rebecca clarified.
