Messager from the Dead City - Elysios

A lone man had survived his encounter with the legions of death which followed very closely to him. The man made it to the gates and screamed for help but before anyone would come to his aid a single arrow would catch him in the back of the head ending his life in one shot. A ghostly rider lowered his his bow and turned his horse and moved back into the forest.

Anyone looking at the forest would notice the random armor clad corpses walking just barely into the visible watching the city from afar. On closer inspection of the dead man one would notice the arrow was attached to a scroll which read:

By decree of the Baron of Death himself

A war comes to your city, you will be given one week to prepare for the legions of dead. You will be given options, join us as underlings, your warriors will become Death Knights, fight for your lives which you will die and you will become one with us. Think long and hard on this.

A cold chill came over the mountain side... Winter was coming.

The note was read over by the guards at the gates which found the body, then taken to a Black Knight further into the city that acted as their chief, and finally after going up several chains of command reached the God of Light himself. Seeing the note and who signed it he tore it in half and burnt it to ashes with his bare hands. Enraged that the Baron would go back on his word.

"Ready the chariot! Prepare the Black Knights for battle! No one betrays Lord Phalis!"

He generated a lightning bolt and hurled it into a nearby wall exploding it.

"No one!"
