David and a couple others of his colleagues assigned to the movie walked onto the set with a large blue screen for The Night Angel Motion Picture and sat down at the chairs next to the camera positioned in front of the blue screen. David pulled out a sheet of paper and began to go over the names that had signed up before going back to the first signed name and calling out, “Rose Campbell!”

Rose ran up on set once her name was called with a copy of the screenplay in her hands, barely capable of holding her excitement as she smiled to David and the others present in the studio. "Hello! My name is Rose Campbell and I'm here to audition for the part of Amoura."

"Hello! My name is Rose Campbell and I'm here to audition for the part of Amoura."
“I know who you are, I just said it, it's on the sheet. Which is paper... I'm using paper in a city where paper is obsolete. Why am I using paper!? Never mind. All right, take it from page 22 of the script and... go!”

"Right!"Rose kept her smile on even after embarrassing herself and turned to page twenty-two on her digital device. Her eyes scanning down to the Night Angel lines and quickly reviewing them one last time before recording them to memory, looking away from the script and back at the group as she slipped into character. "I was trapped there for twenty-five hellish years, Sparda. Twenty. Five. Years. You know what the irritating part of all of this is?!"Rose pointed to her head accentuating each word in the next sentence while looking down at the ground. "Other. Is. In. Here. Every. Single. Damned. Day. Taunting. Me."Rose looked back up to them with the best sad expression she could put on her face for dramatic effect as she waited to hear the verdict on her performance.

"Right!"
David leaned back in his chair and folded his legs waiting to be impressed.

“What on Genesis were you doing with your finger?”

"My finger?"Rose brought her index finger up to her left temple and pressed the finger against it, she then pulled it away by a few inches and back again against the temple. "Acting?"

"My finger?"
“Yes, your finger.”
"Acting?"
David looked towards Rose funny and then opened his mouth on several occasions to speak before he decided not to at the last second, he repeated this until he finally opt to break the cycle,
“That will be all, Ms. Campbell. We'll get back to you.”

"Thank you!"Rose made her way off the set with a smile on her face and kept her fingers crossed in the hope that it'd be she who they called upon to take up the role of Amoura for the Night Angel movie.

David watched Rose leave, eyes fixed on her backside as she walked away before returning to the sheet and the name of the next woman who was scheduled to audition for them here today.
“Zira Firestone!”

Zira smiled when her name was finally called and ran a brush through her long raven black hair one more time before putting it away and coming up on the set for David and the others to see, keeping that beautiful smile on her young facial features as she greeted them.
"Hello. It's a pleasure to be here."

"Hello. It's a pleasure to be here."
“The pleasure is all ours – trust me. You've familiarized yourself with the script I've no doubt so go ahead and take it away on page 47.”

"I already have it all memorized."
That was the page where Amoura began to become irritated with the thing in front of him. That was an emotion that wasn't too hard to do. All Zira had to do was think of the time Amoura had broken up a fight between two handsome hunks that were fighting over her in a club and an irritable expression and tone easily came to the Firebird for the scene.
"I. Can't. Understand. You. Stop showing off your language skills and speak in something that I can actually respond to!"

"I already have it all memorized."
“Very good! Let's see it then.”
"I. Can't. Understand. You. Stop showing off your language skills and speak in something that I can actually respond to!"
Not bad, not bad at all. David was impressed to say the least but there were just one minor detail that David felt would become an issue fairly quickly if Zira was cast to play Amoura in this movie. Though it was something that his own people had overlooked when setting up the sign in sheet. Somebody were going to get fired for that.
“You definitely have talent, there's no denying that. But I feel you may be a tad bit too young for the part.”

Zira smiled when David told her she had talent and because they all seemed to generally like her performance. It wasn't until they mentioned the issue of age that the Firebird started to worry about her chances of super stardom.
"Well, I figured with this being Hollywood you could just perform some magic to make me look older. And you didn't really specify an age on the sign in sheet. And people say I'm very mature for my age."

“Tell you what, I like you. The screenplay is still being written so what I'm going to do is have some revisions done to provide flashbacks to Amoura as a teenager and if they're well-received when everything is filmed and released we'll talk about a spin-off. What do you say?”
