A starship captain and her crew find themselves stranded in orbit of Genesis. They make way for the Downward Spiral in an attempt to find out all they can about the gateway. While there they run into an old friend/enemy/nuisance of the Federation.
So yeah, yesterday morning I was hanging out with Legion and the two of us were watching Star Trek. Then we got the idea to role play it on here, not just to role play a random mission in the Spiral board, though we could, but to study up on something that hasn't been touched on all that much. The Downward Spiral. So we did that and now we have a 4 paged thread that's some of the most fun I had in months. Already we discovered some new locations in the Spiral, how one can travel through dimensions in it and some more about the energy ever present there. Not to mention a slight nod to an earlier thread that took place in the Spiral.
So even if you have no interest in Star Trek or an understanding of it, you may still be able to enjoy the banter between characters and the exploration into Genesis' background and issues to come up. Since at the end of the day IMO that's what Star Trek is all about. The exploration into new worlds and the life lessons that come with it.
