Name: Elandriel
Aliases: The Elf Goddess, Lady of the Wood
Age: 12,194
Gender: Female
Species: God (Elven Goddess)
Alignment: Neutral Good
Canon or Original: Original with some Canon
Date of Birth:
Place of Birth: Essancee
Physical Appearance:
Special Abilities:
*Telepathy: Elandriel can communicate with someone via telepathy, which makes it easier sometimes to have a private conversation.
*Empath: The goddess can read a being’s emotions by looking into their eyes.
*Soul Reading: In soul reading, the goddess can see everything about a person: their past, their present, and possibly their future. This also means she can read their minds but she only uses this ability to further understand someone.
*Druidess: To help ensure the safety of her people, she took upon herself the powers of a druid at a very strong level. In obtaining this, she can sense when someone steps into the woods, and can easily dispatch a group of soldiers should it be a threat. Through the eyes of the animals, through the earth, and through the plant life, she sees all.
The rest of her power is vast. Elandriel can heal the sick, has a grand amount of knowledge at her disposal, and sometimes surprises those who know her well with something she’s kept hidden. But through all of this, she never seeks to further empower herself or to gain the upper hand against someone unless it is absolutely necessary.
Weapons:
*Her mind and power alone suffice as weapons.
History:
1-1,800 Years Summary
- Elandriel is born in Essancee.
- The elven child is raised in the same manner as any other elf. She is taught the ways of her people from the language to the history. Growing up, she was taught how to fight, how to take care of her weapons, but it was a healthy balance for it was during a time when war was the last thing in the elven mind.
- Wars have come and gone, times of peace remained and departed, and Elandriel became a seasoned elf from all of the experiences. With experience came great wisdom, of which, she would often share with those much younger than her. She found herself giving more council than anything.
- After a great war that decimated so much of her people’s population, Elandriel put down her weapons, and sought peace through knowledge and counseling. All the bloodshed, all the friends lost, had made her grow weary of the battlefield, and she took this time to also delve back into activities she had abandoned. In this, she met her husband, and the two have been happily married to this day.
- For hundreds of years, her people remained sealed off from the world outside of the forest. They never allowed anyone in, and stubborn trespassers were often dealt with. The horrid war that occurred had made them gain distaste for outsiders. For a time, they disappeared from history, until they felt it was time for them to re-emerge.
- Upon their return, the elves created a council amongst themselves with Elandriel among one of the higher ranks. Together they helped to maintain peace and order amongst their people and the outsiders. But it soon wouldn’t be enough.
- The other realms that were not too far from the forests had inhabitants that were becoming more and more curious about them. They felt it best, in order to maintain peace, they should form a council of their own and send in the best of each. Elandriel was chosen to represent the elven race.
- They would meet once every few months to make sure the borders of each land were safe, secure, and there were no disputes that could bleed into other territories. They didn’t realize this would eventually lead to a council that would be made of gods only hundreds of years later.
Years 2,000-Present
- The Creator ascended the council to gods, which gave each power over their own territory. Elandriel became the goddess of her people, and took the role too seriously at first. For years she felt it her duty to protect her people from everything she could now that she had the power to do so. But, in time, she grew to realize this was not the role she was supposed to have. With her husband’s help, she began to ease herself into a different role.
- Elandriel begins to take time to explore her new status as a god. Everything was heightened. Everything was so different. With so much power came great responsibility and she felt it would be in her best interest to focus on a set of skills to help her people and to fulfill her role in the council meetings.
- Thousands of years roll by. Elandriel had mastered her powers and achieved much during that time with her people. She learned more and more means to keep their territory safe which gave many a peace of mind. She felt her role was to be a guide, a protector, but to not coddle her people as if though they were children. She grew to be wiser than one would expect, and gained respect from those around her.
- Every decade or so, she had to leave the forest to sink into a deep state of meditation for a few days. She would look back on every decade’s events, actions, and occurrences to make sure she was fulfilling her role as needed. Unfortunately, while she is away, the forest and her people could be vulnerable to an outside attack. Upon her return from her recent meditation, she found her homeland decimated.
