All right, we're approaching the end of the first major storyarc on the board, and just like with the Netherrealm, I'd like to hear people feedback on the board and where we can improve. Instead of doing it all through PMs this time I figured it'd be easier on everyone if we just have a thread for it. So reply here with your feedback/suggestions.

Well, we could always use a map of Elim as it is right now.

Perhaps those in charge of their plots should be required to have a backup plan in place that they share with the staff, just in case circumstances forces them to leave unannounced and the plot is drove to a halt because of it. I saw this problem persist a lot, mainly with the Arashi and Hellsing plot.

I saw this problem persist a lot, mainly with the Arashi and Hellsing plot. So much this. I was lucky enough with my plot to have access to a character (Tajna Rasha) who could manipulate time, so any leave of absence could be explained canonically. That being said, I was also fortunate to have phenomenal backing from Ayen who created the Netherealm plot as a placeholder while I had to deal with schooling and work and amazing dedication and patience from all the members who were involved in the arc. As for my own personal thing. More wiki participation would go a long way to having a reliable database that members could refer to in order to view information about characters, events and places in DOA. |

I'm still of the idea that we should potentially create an extra forum to house identity things for characters, such as just personal musings of that character, thoughts, journals, dairies, things of that sort to show character development. So over time, someone can look back and be like, a year ago, my character was so dumb and naive and now they hate everyone, wow @_@. Just to see character development. In my opinion, it would encourage it a bit more.

And also potentially updating the information for each location with a bit more details and to be more current to reflect plots in them better.

I used to have one up in Ranka's bio detailing his original transformation as a vampire due to human experiments but since then he has been sired so it seems a little moot other than to explain why he had a cybernetic arm. Well, we could always use a map of Elim as it is right now. but that is just a want from me. the forums right now are perfect for me. For this to work we'd need someone who knows how to make a map and be willing to update it accordingly when new places are added, which could prove tasking on whoever takes up the job. Alternatively we can create maps of individual areas - Elysios, Dead City, Ignis, etc. etc. - again we need someone who can do it as there's only a handful of people who know Photoshop on here. And also potentially updating the information for each location with a bit more details and to be more current to reflect plots in them better. I'm in agreement with this. Alex was mostly in charge of that but she's been busy lately. I think it went down as the wiki was introduced but since we're still a long way from leaving Alpha stage on that it'd be good to pick up edits on the Background Info again, then add those things to the wiki itself. |

The wiki is more for OOC information. I think Ira is talking about another role playing area dedicated to the characters actual thoughts. And I like the idea of having a section for relationship pages and private journals. It could be made underneath the Main Menu category.

I mostly used the Genesis page to explain the geological and geographical factors of each area. We could totally start giving the areas that have a lot of history their own pages. Given that a lot of people are involved in the cities, I think it'd be nice if they gave these pages a go. For example, Miracle for Aircano and Ayen/Kragen/Garrus for Isafaro. |
