Her ability with the magical arts is quite incredible. Since her birth, she has always had a powerful attunement to magic, and had, as her teacher and ruler Princess Celestia put it, "enormous raw magical power". Through he constant studying, she has learned to use her abilities in a wide variety of forms. As she stated, using her magic required concentration and effort, sometimes even line of sight.

• Telekinesis: Her most versatile and useful spell, Twilight can move things with dexterity at her will, ranging from an individual leaf of paper to lifting an entire orchard of apples.
  
• Teleportation: Twilight Sparkle has shown adeptness in moving her and those in a given area around her to positions that she has been before. In short hops, it is a simple thing and easily done. However, making safe teleports to zones a distance away, where she will not materialize into objects or combat does require considerable effort.
  
• Replication: Due to her immense amount of reading, practice, and magical potential, she has an ability to replicate other spells that have been used, be it from reading of, detecting, or watching them. This requires a greater-than-average amount of effort for the spells being used, but after breaking into the spell, she learns its ability.
