"I pray to no one, nor will I be prayed to! But, above all else, I will never forgive you for making my daughter CRY!"
Aliases: General, General Asura, Asura of the Eight Guardian Generals, Asura of Wrath, The Fallen, Fallen One, Traitor, Asura the Traitor, Asura the Redeemer, Asura The Destructor
Age: Physically 28, though well over 12,500 chronologically
Gender: Male
Species: Demigod
Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
Canon or Original: Canon
Date of Birth: Unknown
Place of Birth: Likely Gaea
Special Abilities:
- Demigod Physiology: Asura, like all demigods of his world, displays a number of physiological differences when compared to a normal human. He is capable of surviving unaided in space, does not require food or water, and can withstand much greater extremes in temperature than a normal human. His skin has a strange, clay-like look and texture to it, and parts of his body -- specifically, his arms and his torso -- seem to be mechanical or made out of metal many times more durable and powerful than his 'normal' body. Of further note, Asura's blood is a bright orange color.
- Wrath Mantra: Asura's Mantra affinity is Wrath. Whereas he is capable of absorbing pure Mantra like all other Demigods to enhance his powers, his powers are augmented many times over when exposed to wrath and rage. To this end, Asura leeches off his own uncontrollable rage, increasing his powers in proportion to his level of rage. This rage is so great and vast that he was able to produce such an inconceivable volume of Wrath Mantra, he was capable of overpowering and defeating Chakravartin, the Spinner of all Mantra and creator of his universe.
- Superhuman Strength: Asura's superhuman strength is, at a relatively "calm" level, sufficient to shatter stone and all types of metal with a single punch. He was able to physically move and throw massive Gohma "cruisers" which were several dozens of meters long, and contend with massive Gohma hundreds of times his size and overpower and defeat them. When channeling his Wrath Mantra, Asura's strength skyrockets, capable of overpowering even other Demigods who were thought to be many times his strength and defeat them in battle. The true limits to his strength are unknown, though the levels seen are already indescribable and beyond imagination when his rage is great enough.
- Superhuman Durability: Asura's durability is extremely vast. He is capable of contending with the Gohma, and even other Demigods, and sustaining blows which would reduce a normal human to a bloody smear without any great injury. Interestingly, his durability is not augmented by his rage, remaining at its standard level, though this standard level is well above his normal levels of strength and speed.
- Superhuman Speed: Asura's speed, at a relatively calm level, is sufficient to allow him to sprint hundreds of miles per hour. His punching speed is faster than the eye can track, and his short-range movement speed is likewise faster than the eye can follow. His speed is augmented by his rage, allowing him to potentially reach sprinting speeds in the tens of thousands of miles per hour, and his punching speed to approach the speed of light.
- Superhuman Reflexes: Asura's reflexes are extremely advanced and lightning-fast, allowing him to respond to and contend with even the attacks of Yasha, who was reported to be the fastest of the Demigods.
- Superhuman Agility: Asura's agility and control over his body is great, allowing him to perform advanced acrobatic maneuvers with ease as well as precise flips and combat rolls and the like, as well as maintaining great balance and control even when in such situations as freefall.
- Superhuman Stamina: Asura's stamina was extremely vast, and potentially infinite. Asura was never even once seen to slow down during his battles and journey, no matter how long they lasted.
- Superhuman Endurance: Asura possesses an immense level of resilience to pain and injury. Even when sustaining injuries and wounds that should kill a normal man or severely hamper even a Demigod, he keeps going without pause. Even the destruction of his own arms, being impaled with several spears, or impaled through the gut with a sword did little more than slow him down for a time.
- Master Combatant: Over his long life, Asura has developed into a remarkably skilled combatant. He trained under Augus, an unparalleled combatant in his own right, and frequently sparred and trained with Yasha. This training, combined with his eons of war against the Gohma and warfare in general have combined to make Asura one of the finest warriors in all of the cosmos, possessing as much feral instinct and raw natural ability as he does actual skill and training.
- Mantra Manipulation: Asura is capable of manifesting and manipulating his Mantra for numerous purposes, including in massive auras and explosive waves around him, and even coating his fists and arms with Mantra to clash directly with energy-bsed attacks, allowing him to literally catch energy blasts with his bare hands, and either neutralize them or hurl them aside or back to whence they came.
- Mantra Bullets: Asura is capable of firing small Mantra "bullets". These projectiles are roughly fist-sized, and their punch and damage escalates rapidly with his level of rage. At a calm level, they pack roughly as much punch as a grenade, while as his rage builds their strength will climb rapidly to levels rivalling high-end missiles and even mountain-busting explosions, and even more powerful as his rage climbs. These bullets can be fired extremely rapidly, in streams reaching several thousand "bullets" per minute, or can be hurled in bursts of twenty in a shotgun blast. At need, Asura can focus Mantra and hurl a series of homing bullets, which are much larger and more powerful, with each homing blast packing as much punch as nearly ten regular bullets, and trailed a stream of excess Mantra behind them.
- Mantra Blasts: Asura could hurl massive blasts and streams of pure Mantra when enraged enough. Typically this manifested as massive explosions and concentrated waves of Mantra originating from his punches, adding a massive blast and indescribable damage to his blows.
- Vajra Asura:
[/li][li] Six-Armed Vajra Asura: Similar to Asura's Vajra form, Asura manifests two additional pairs of arms, all coated completely in the golden metal of his Vajra form. These additional arms are capable of just as much raw power and Mantra output as his normal arms, though seem to be slightly more fragile and vulnerable.
[/li][li] Berserker Asura: Asura's Berserker state is only available when in the grip of a monstrous, truly explosive rage. It provides him with a massive increase in power, allowing him to expel and blast inconceivable volumes of Mantra, capable of levelling mountains with a single blast, and demolishing entire fleets of airships and entire legions of enemies within mere seconds. He grew two extra pairs of arms composed entirely of pure Mantra, which were capable of reaching several meters to extend his melee range. He was capable of blasting a wave of Mantra so powerful it was able to resist a planet-shattering laser fueled by trillions of souls worth of Mantra and nearly overpower it.
[/li][li] Wrath Asura: Wrath Asura is a form only available when Berserker Asura is blasted with overwhelming force. His body will become scorched black, and while his ability to use Mantra will be gone, his levels of physical ability will skyrocket. He was capable of nearly matching even the impossible speed of Yasha, and nearly bisecting another Demigod with a single blow. He is bestial and nearly uncontrollable in this state, but terrifyingly powerful.
[/li][li] Mantra Asura: Requiring unprecedented levels of rage, this form is marked by Asura growing 1,000 pairs of arms, similar to his six-armed Vajra form, which will all condense into a single pair of massive, hulking arms. In this state, Asura's strength is even greater than his Berserker form, and he is able to fire indescribably powerful bullets and blasts of Mantra, as well as venting jets of Mantra from his arms to increase his mobility and punching speed.
[/li][li] Destructur Asura: Asura is only capable of achieving this form with a surplus of energy from an external source, or else with a level of rage that is impossible to quantify. When attaining it, Asura assumes a truly massive form, many times the size of a planet similar in size to Earth. He is capable of destroying planets and stars with only a handful of Mantra bullets, and he was able to punch a planet several hundred times his size with such force he blasted clean through it and caused it to explode. He grows two additional pairs of hulking arms, similar to his Mantra form, and is capable of flight under his own power well in excess of the speed of light.
[/li][li] Neo-Ultimate Asura: A form very similar to his Vajra form, but indescribably more powerful than any other form he is capable of. Marked by Asura's arms being encased in golden metal only up to just hast his wrists. His powers are augmented to such ungodly levels of power that he was capable of fighting evenly with and overpowering and defeating Cahkravaritin, the Spinner of Mantra, at his full power.

Weapons:
- Mantra Reactor: A device implanted in his chest, the Mantra Reactor is a key component for Asura. With it, his body is capable of handling any amount of rage and power he can attain, preventing him from burning himself out and destroying himself as he nearly did the first time he achieved his Wrath transformation.
History: Over 12,000 years ago, Asura lived a relatively happy life with his wife, Durga, and daughter, Mithra. He was the student of Augus, and friend of Yasha, and took part in many battles against the Gohma. He was approached by Sergei, Wyzen and Kalrow to attempt to persuade him in taking part in Deus's plan, but he brushed them off and refused. When Mithra was appointed as the new High Priestess, Asura was outraged, but had no choice in the matter. He engaged in battle against the Gohma, defeating Vlitra and driving it back into Gaea.
He went to speak to the Emperor, but found him dead. Framed for his death, Asura was confused and terrified for his family. Returning home, he found Durga on the verge of death. She died in his arms, and in his rage he demanded to know who was responsible, returning to face the other Guardian Generals. He was framed for the Emperor's death publicly, stripped of his godly powers, and killed and plunged into Naraka.
Asura awakens in Naraka, dangling from a pillar. He slowly begins to climb the pillar, fighting through amnesia and taunted by the Golden Spider with riddles and vague hints about Asura's own past and the fate of the world in his absence. Driven by unexplainable anger, Asura furiously climbs the pillar, breaking free of Naraka and returns to his body, freeing it from its earthen tomb deep beneath the earth with a massive explosion of Mantra after 12,000 yerars.
He wanders Gaea, apalled at what has become of it. He comes across a human village among ruins, and finds it under attack by the Gohma. Asura destroys the Gohma, saving the villagers, but a Shinkoku capital ship descends and sends its Trastrium warriors led by Wyzen to harvest the villagers for more Mantra.
Wyzen explains that the Eight Guardian Generals disbanded, becoming the Seven Deities. Wyzen boisterously monologues and taunts Asura, but he is interrupted by a blow to the face from Asura's fist, sending him flying, and starting a duel. During the course of the duel, Wyzen unleashes his powers against Asura, taunting him, but underestimates Asura due to his arrogance and is overwhelmed, forcing him to transform into Vajra Wyzen. They continue their battle, but Asura's rage at Wyzen's carelessness in their battle grows and he once again overwhelmes the arrogant deity, launching him into space with a massively powerful blow.
Drawing upon the Mantra Reactor in the Brahmastra, Wyzen transforms into his planet-sized form, Gongen Wyzen. In his arrogance, he attempts to destroy Asura by merely crushing him with one finger. Asura catches this finger, and holds it back for a few short seconds, but is nearly crushed all the same. Recalling his entire past, Asura's rage grows once more and he unleashes a furious assault against Wyzen's finger, pouring so much Mantra and energy into the attack it causes a chain reaction that utterly destroys Wyzen. The assault destroys Asura's arms and he falls to the ground, exhausted, and loses consciousness.
Asura awakens to find himself confronted by Yasha. Yasha mocks Asura for his foolish actions of opposing the Seven Deities, and tells him to move on and forget Mithra. Asura, his rage renewed at Yasha's words, is revitalized and savagely attacks Yasha despite still mising his arms. He is seemingly completely outclassed and outmatched by Yasha, but his rage is so great and his attacks so savage, he still manages to strike Yasha with a powerful headbutt, producing a shockwave that tears apart the earth about them, and cracking Yasha's mask. Yasha, growing tired of Asura, proceeds to cleave Asura in two with a final attack, killing him once again.
Asura awakens in Naraka again thanks to the Golden Spider. Haunted by the sound of his daughter crying and empowered beyond any previous threshold by his anger, Asura launches himself up the tower, climbing it with blind fury, and returning to the mortal world.
Five hundred years have passed since his previous death. Asura's body is petrified in stone at the base of a mountain with a shrine built around it by the descendants of the villagers he saved. Just as Asura frees himself, the Gohma attack once again. A Gohma chieftan kidnaps a girl who was visiting Asura's shrine. The girl bears a strong resemblance to his daughter, prompting Asura to pursue it to the besieged village.
Asura destroys the Gohma, only to have Kalrow come to investigate. Kalrow taunts Asura, calling him the The Fallen One, from the safety of his ship, sending his Trastrium warriors to begin harvesting the souls of the humans. Asura destroys the warriors, and then launches himself onto one of the ships in Kalrow's fleet. He decimates the entire fleet, and leaps onto the escape pod Kalrow had launched himself in. Despite his pleas for Asura to spare him, Asura crushes Kalrow inside his escape pod, causing it to explode. Asura is knocked flying by the blast, where he is sent crashing into a mountain, unconscious.
Augus finds Asura, and carries him to a hot spring, where he recuperates. Augus informs Asura of Deus's grand plan, but Asura isn't interested in it. They launch themselves to the surface of the moon for their battle. They prove to be evenly matched in hand to hand combat, and Augus draws his sword. His attacks slice massive sections of the moon apart, and eventually Augus impales Asura upon the blade, pinning Asura to Gaea and fully piercing the planet. Asura breaks the blade with a rage-fueled punch, shattering his arms in the process and, grasping the hilt of the broken blade with his teeth, strikes a lethal blow on Augus.
Asura pays his respects to his fallen mentor, before noticing Gohma are approaching. Taking up the blade in his teeth once more, Asura prepares for battle. The Gohma horde stretches as far as the eye can see, but he leaps into battle regardless. He slaughters a amssive amount of Gohma, but is inevitably overwhelmed by sheer numbers. Beaten down and seemingly defeated, Asura draws on his rage, manifesting a massive arm of pure Mantra from his ruined shoulder. He proceeds to slaughter every last Gohma present, as well as vaporizing a large swathe of landscape, before finally succumbing to his injuries and exhaustion and collapsing, dead once more.
He awakens once again merely a few short days later, as the girl from the village finds him. She leads him back to the village, but just as they arrive another fleet commanded by Olga launches a missile barrage, destroying the village. Asura survives, but he finds the girl's broken and charred body in the rubble. Overcome with rage and grief, Asura goes berserk, exploding into a massive blast of Mantra and transforming into Berserker Asura. He wipes out nearly the entire fleet within mere minutes, frightening Olga and forcing her to fire the Brahmastra directly at Asura. Yasha tries to stop the blast from firing, but fails, merely diverting some of its power.
Asura is presumed dead once again, until he explodes onto the scene in his Wrath form, his body broken and burnt by his own rage, carving through Sergei's ship and destroying it, and disembowelling Sergei in a single blow. Sergei reveals that it was he who kidnapped Mithra and killed Durga. Asura slams Sergei into the ground and crushes his head underfoot, killing him, and launches himself into battle against Yasha. Yasha attempts to reason with Asura, but it proves to be futile. Asura gains the upper hand in the battle, and interrupts Yasha's attempts to reason with him, destroying Yasha's mask. Yasha, his emotions no longer restrained, retaliates with his full power. He cracks open Asura's body, returning him to his senses and knocking him into a temporary coma.
Asura is visited by the Golden Spider once again in his coma, who informs him that carrying out his revenge and defeating the Gohma is his destiny. Asura awakens, filled with rage, and heads for Shinto. He arrives at Deus's office to find him already in battle with Yasha. Interrupting the battle, Asura and Yasha force Deus to flee, escaping to the Karma Fortress, where he comandeers the Brahmastra, becoming Sakra Devanam Indra Deus. Asura and Yasha battle their way into the heart of the fortress, and engage Deus in a second battle, with Asura emerging the victor and slaying Deus. Yasha frees Mithra from her imprisonment, and at that moment, Gohma Vlitra reawakens on Gaea.
Asura and Yasha leave to fight Vlitra with Mithra's blessing. They battle their way to the 'face' of Vlitra, but are overpowered and defeated. Mithra grants Asura the Mantra within the Karma Fortress, transforming him into Mantra Asura, and healing Yasha. Thus revitalized and stronger than ever, they blast their way to Vlitra's core, encountering a massive beast that resembles Berserk Asura. They defeat Vlitra, and escape Gaea's core as the remaining Gohma are pushed back. Asura returns to the Brahmastra to reunite with Mithra, but is interrupted by Olga, who threatens to kill Mithra. She attempts to do so, but the Golden Spider appears and kills her.
The Golden Spider spins a web around himself and Mithra, transforming into Chakravaritin, the one true god and the Spinner of Mantra. He makes several startling revelations, and Asura attacks him, but is severely outmatched. Growing more furious by the second, Asura unleashes his Wrath form in an attempt to save Mithra, but is blasted away by Mithra, who tells Yasha to save fer father.
Asura awakens on Gaea after having the Mantra Reactor of both the Karma Fortress and Yasha himself implanted in him, finding a masked Yasha eager to battle him. Confused, Asura nonetheless accepts. With the activation of the Mantra Reactor, Asura gains the upper hand, and just before delivering the final blow, pulls his punch at the sight of a smile on Yasha's face. The force of his last punch had blown away the bandages on Yasha's chest, revealing the gaping wound where Yasha's heart and reactor had been. Asura realizes that Yasha had revived him, and Yasha, now sensing Asura was at his strongest, dies with a content smile.
Asura prepares for his final confrontation, meditating under a waterfall and recalling visions of the other Deities and reminisces of his wife, Durga. Readied for battle, Asura rides atop his own flagship into space to go and confront Chakravaritin. Chakravaritin attempts to destroy Gaea, but Asura unleashes the power of the Mantra Reactor, assuming the form of the Destructor, deflecting the planet-vaporizing blast. Asura then launches himself into space to engage Chakravaritin in battle. Chakravaritin again requests that Asura fulfill his destiny and become the new god of Gaea, only to have Asura reject him once more.
Asura and Chakravaritin engage in battle at the edge of creation, and the force of their battle causes the very fabric of time and space to rip and tear. Chakravaritin unleashes his full power, and destroys Asura's Destructor form, and shatters his extra arms with a single finger, forcing him to his base form. Chakravaritin mercilessly beats Asura, but Asura, driven by his insurmountable hatred, perseveres and eventually assums the form of Neo-Ultimate Asura, and overpowering and defeating the Mantra God.
As Asura prepares the final blow, Mithra breaks free, warning Asura that destroying Chakravaritin would cause all Mantra to be forever lost, destroying all of Shinkoku's technology, including the very technology that keeps Asura alive. Asura chooses to destroy Chakravaritin regardless of these consequences, resigning himself to die if it means Mithra can live free from danger. Dealing the final blow to Chakravaritin, Asura shares a few final words with Mithra as the landscape around them falls apart at the seams, before he dies, his wrath finally spent.
Asura's spirit and force of will were so great, however, he could not forever resign himself to the afterlife. Once again awakening dangling from the piller he had seen so many times now, Asura began the long climb back to the living world, eventually breaking through once more and into the world of Genesis.
