"Your Majesty! Hallowton is under attack!"
Said one of the guards who entered the castle throne room alerting the queen to what was going on. A mixed look of concern, fear and surprise appeared on the young woman's face as she rose up from her seat.
"What?"
"An army of unknown unholy creatures has appeared in the southern area on the outskirts of town coming through portals."
"Portals?"
Has the Netherrealm chose to attack here instead? Lori had to sit back down in her seat. This was all happening too quickly and to make matters worse she already ordered Sir Integra to send Joann into Kari. Was that all for nothing?
"Your orders, Your Majesty?" asked the guard.
Lori looked at him from her seat. Trying to think of something to do. Something to say. To come up with some orders for the man. But she could think of nothing. All she could do was sit there quivering in fear at the demon army that was now on their doorstep. |

"Your orders, Your Majesty?"
“Inform Sir Integra that a demon army moves in from the south and to prepare her forces accordingly. And find Arix. Tell him it's time for the Rock Star to come out of retirement.”
The voice came from the right and Sazan walked into the throne room with her long scythe in hand. Dressed in her trademark black shirt, black pants, black combat boots, matching leather fingerless glove and a blue jacket. She stood to Lori's right from where she sat on the throne substituting for Sparda as he engaged in the battle as they spoke.
“I will remain and guard the queen.”
The man nodded and then rushed from the room to carry those orders out as the Hybrid looked over to Lori.

Lori was thankful that Sazan had entered to say what she couldn't think of. Once the guard left the throne room the queen placed her hands on her head and looked down to the floor in shame. Glad that nobody else aside Sazan was in the throne room right now to see her weakness.
You can't afford to hesitate. One brief moment can mean life or death for your people.

"It's Sparda. Or at least a different one from the Sparda ya'll are familiar with." Sazan would hear the voice of her ((I'm guessing)) older half brother, Anthony who stood at the entrance to the throne room, a toothpick pressed between his lips. Tony himself was stopped by two guards that crossed halberds in front of his path. He shook his head, rather pesky buggers... he looked towards both of them, first left, then right before his words were carried on a sigh. "Really?" In an instant Tony jabbed out with both fists knocking the guards out before advancing past their knocked out bodies. "He's opened a nexus of some sort linking his realm with that area and it grows by the second... Look for ya'self." He said nodding towards a window where the moon... or rather the giant twitching eyeball hung within the sky over the area." His vision shifted over towards Sazan soon enough, "S'up book worm, finally figured out how which end goes into the enemy?" |

Sazan turned her head at the sound of yet another familiar voice. Seeing Daikus enter the throne room and not two minutes into appearing he took out the guards who stopped his path to the queen. Naturally they went down quickly but surprise, surprise they actually did manage to get back up to their feet and raise their swords at Daikus before Sazan interjected.
“Stand down. He's one of us.”
The guards sheathed their swords and then returned to their place in the throne room as Sazan's gaze met that of her half brother's.

Oh. Just great. Hell was breaking loose outside and now her own guards were being beat up by some guy she's never even seen before. How did he get in the castle? Who was he? That much was at least answered when Sazan spoke up and she looked at her confused.
"You never told me you had a brother."
Wait. There were more important things right now.
"Sparda? So we have a doppelganger. Can it be closed?" |

"Not a doppelganger, There's no way something like that would be able to go rouge..." He snickered at his sister's comment, "It's a good thing you still can't best me, huh?" He looked towards the direction of the battle... "I don't know... something that big..." His eyes suddenly widen as he snaps around darting away from the window, screaming out, "Cover! Now!" He managed to get away from the castle wall broke through and what stood in front of the three was a large, beefy demon plated in Demonic armor, he looked almost Draconian. His left clawed gauntlet clutching a large meat cleaver of a sword made what seemed like bone and flesh. " I Am Agrosax the Brutal, prepare to die.[/i]" Anthony pushed himself up, he didn't need this right now... "Oh yeah? Well I'm, I just fucked your mother." He snapped back, already having his shotgun aimed at Agrosax. Familiars began to pour into the firearm shifting and changing it into the demonic form passionately named; The Sorrow. “She meant the first definition of doppelganger.”
"I don't know... something that big... Cover! Now!"
Sazan automatically threw herself in front of the queen's position and held up her scythe, creating an invisible barrier that protected them as the large demon came crashing in through the castle wall, a recently rebuilt castle wall no less, giving Lori the time she needed to get back to safety before stepping up in front of the demon with her scythe held.
"I Am Agrosax the Brutal, prepare to die."
“I'm Sazan Gatekeeper and that was a five thousand piece of gold castle wall asshole.”
Sazan ducked to ensure Daikus got his opening for his attack to hit before following up by spinning her scythe in an X formation and pouring her own energies into it before unleashing a destructive wave of her own towards the demon. |

Lori's eyes widened when that beast came crashing into the throne room without any signs or warning. Sazan getting in front of her just in time to shield her from the demon as she took that time to leave her throne chair and run away to behind their position, but making a point not to venture too close to the wall on the opposite side just in case another large demon got the idea of crashing through it. Looking towards the demon her eyes narrowed as she spoke.
"Mrs. Gatekeeper. Kill that a lot." |

He had been watching for some time now since the demonic nexus had appeared in the city. It was of no great interest to him. There were others handling the situation well enough, and his own intervention would have made no great difference. And so he had remained uninvolved. Up until he had seen the seven demon general summoned. That was when his attention had been demanded. When one of the seven had taken off and headed toward what he had said was the Castle, he had wasted no time.
Now he waited, masked in shadow on the far wall as the demon burst through the wall. It was as he had expected. The two here looked as if they could handle the situation well enough. But it also left the Queen relatively undefended, or at the least an obstacle should she be targeted. Just as the Queen had given her order, he stepped from the shadows, materializing suddenly. He momentarily let off dark vapors of shadow and darkness before he smoothed his robes and brushed them away.
And he spoke up gently, yet loud enough to be overheard. "Your Majesty." He paused, and would place one arm across his waist and incline forward in a bow before continuing. "You do not know of me. But I am called Count Ostius. I have no personal stake in this matter, but I despise demons. If you would, allow me to protect you for the moment to free your two other allies to fight fully agaisnt your most rude guest."

The two energies, both Tony's and Sazan's fused together before it struck. Agrosax was pushed back a bit by the force, however his armor seemed to absorb the energy and then his aura began too seep out, a putrid black aura that carried with it a suffocating feeling of corruption. Tony new the feeling all too well, it was the feeling of the demon world... "Oh hell no..." he put away his shotgun, that had returned to it's Coyote-A form before he drew Rebellion. "Not gonna happen." He raced his thumb across the edge of the mammoth blade, spilling his blood that the sword soaked up... converting it to it's sleeker bastard sword state. He looked towards Sazan, "Follow my lead book worm..." Agrosax did nothing but laugh as he regained his ground, his armor pouring out his aura like miasma looking to corrupt the throne room. " This is the best you have?" he spoke towards the queen, " Pathetic... i'll end them quicker than you." |

Sazan drew the 11mm Blessing from her jacket and crossed it with the scythe, blade pointed away and the barrel of the gun aimed at the demon as for the first time since finding out they were siblings she stood by her brother's side. |

"We'll see," replied Lori to the demon.
She then looked over her shoulder to where Count Ostius was now standing. Immediately suspicious of the man and prepared to get out of his reach if he attempted to grab her while Sazan and Daikus were still busy fending off the attacking demon.

He sighed, having expected this response. He suddenly seemed very tired as he folded his arms behind his back. "I apologize, Your Majesty, but I can offer no other certainty than my word." He inclined his head in something resembling a bow. "But as you can see....I believe that all available attention will be needed to fight this most persistent foe. I mean no disrespect...but if you were to be targeted it would force one of them to intervene to protect you and detract from their ability to remain focused on the battle."
He cast a searching glance at Agrosax and his features hardened into a grimace of displeasure. Turning back to Lori he continued. "If you would prefer, however, I shall depart as I have come and trouble you no further."

A bullet split the air between Lori and this new guy's faces. "Back off," Were the only words the hybrid spoke, his sights still dead set on agrosax while the 65 Cal. Apathy was trained on the new arrival as the other gun, Zeal was focused on Agrosax. "I've got enough to deal with here..." He began to speak towards Sazan who was now at his side. "You know as well as I the only way to really shut them up." |
